the problem is simply no DLC appearing in my 3 tabs
I've attempted to uninstall and reinstall the updater as directed in 3.2.2 and 3.2.4 only to end up with "The service is not responding to the control function"
I've attempted to delete the xml file, only to find, I dont have one
I've attempted the manual restart, only to have it stall 2/3 of the way through the progression bar
startup is set to automatic, but still says Stopped in the activity box, and everytime I try to manually start it I get a 1053 error
I recently did a full window reinstall, including up to date windows updater and framework
any solutions would be greatly appreciated

I wouldn't have thought to manually run the "service" (3.2.2).

i have tried the instructions you have in this. but i run the installutil /u "D:\\\\games\\\\Dragon Age\\\\bin_ship\\\\DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe" from the proper directory and pointing to my directory for the game. and it just hangs there doing nothing (infact its been sitting here for 15 minutes doing nothing) Any help would be great as id like to get back to playing this great game.
Well seems i have found one issue. my Installutil doesent seem to want to run. i run the command even using just installutil /? and it sits there with the cursor at the command prompt. Anyt idea's how to fix it ?

successfully installed the game through the EADM. After launching the
game, in the "downloadable contents", it says I need to purchase extra
DLCs such as the Warden and Stone, etc. I have tried to look for answer
in the forum, but I couldn't find a clear answer to my problem. I have
checked in "http://social.bioware.com/user_entitlements.php" for DLCs that are included in the Deluxe Edition, but I couldn't find them.
Regards,
George

Excellent info that I have used several times. Hopefully I can get some help with my current problem. I have two different characters started, both are near the end of the game. I haven't had any issues with the DL content until today. Wardens keep and several pieces of gear disappeared from one of my characters. I have a few saved files, but it's gone in those as well. I think it was a matter of me saving a few times before realize the content was missing. The odd thing is Wardens Keep is still there and playable on my other character. Any suggestions? I've restarted the game several times. I have the DragonAge Updater Service set to auto, I have for awhile but doubled checked it to make sure. Any help is appreciated and anymore info you need just let know. Thanks again in advance.
Use the program "daupdater.exe", once that is running, using windows explorer (file manager thing) and find the dazip files for that content. select what is missing or just select them all in the explorer and copy them onto or drag them onto the daupdater.
That will re-attach all the DLC content.
Some of them may require that you go through the 'quest' phase again, but most should just re-appear and work.

Several points:
If you already Force-Loaded an old save (which thusly, apparently doesn't have all the DLC installed)... And then, afterwards, you DO finally successfully install that DLC and load that same save file again (which now has the DLC), it is still showing errors in Shale (she still has a warped Karidan model w/o a head).
However, if you load an earlier save that you did not try to Force-load before you successfully installed the DLC, it seems alright.
-- It still seems strange to me that I couldn't merely copy my old hard drive's "Add-In" files (ie, the DLC stuff) over to this new install. It seems all the updater does is unzip it into that folder anyhow.

1. Downloaded and ran the service diagnostic tool at
http://supportfiles....nostic_beta.exe
2. Went to Start, Run, then entered "services.msc". Check to make sure "Dragon Age: Origins Content Updater" is set to "Started."
3. Booted up the game launcher and clicked Configure. In the repair tab I hit "clear download cache"
4. Started the game. It looked as if the download had restarted completely, then it found the file on my computer. Went from 100% downloaded to extracting, then installed itself. All fixed!
I hope this helps someone. Legal purchasers of this stuff should be able to expect a hassle-free time of it.

After 2 hours, endless live chat and lots of grey hair 0.1.10. worked for me....
changing log on from "local system" to "This account" finally started the service which finally moved my DLC from "available content" to downloading !
Thanks all, weee

After going through the section on installed data not appearing I gave up and decided to try 3.3.1 to get the Blood Dragon Armour to appear at least. I used the command prompt to stop DAUpdaterSvc, deleted manifest.xml and then looked for the DAUpdater folder as per the instructions. It wasn't there so I left it and started DAUpdaterSvc with the command prompt again.
When I started the game, not only did the Blood Dragon Armour install and work, but The Stone Prisoner worked as well. Thanks so much guys!
(By the way, I'm running Vista with version 1.02a of Dragon Age)
Thought I'd post this in case anyone was ineterested.

...I noticed that upon my re-install on my new system (wear I couldn't re-download and re-install DLC and came here),
I noticed that also, the "Online Profile" button on the game menu no longer "works." It doesn't open any webpage (to my profile here) like it did on the previous install on my old drive.
Could this be significant or related to DLC download/install issues?
ALSO: I hope the OP can QUICKLY post a link for direct-download of RTO DLC tomorrow, cause that's apparently the only way I'll get DLC to work now
