I always run as administrator, and yes, I tried the beta fix too. Didn't change a thing.



I'll try that third option though, since the game does run off another drive.

Oh, I forgot the .NET framework thing. Make sure you have the latest version of Microsoft .NET framework. Version 3.5 SP1 is the latest official one.

This is a really stupid problem to have just because I wasn't connected for a few weeks. Makes me concerned about what'll happen when I get the Return to Ostagar DLC and the upcoming expansion.

FINALLY..



ive gotten the DLC to download and install like it should but it was a pretty extreme fix



reformated the harddrive and reinstalled XP with american regional settings

installed all the windows updates

installed the steam version of dragon age

and ta da the dlc now downloads and installs..



this does confirm one thing though, im in australia so the DLC is not region locked or it might be but thats fixed by changing the region settings to the usa

I added the regional setting thing officially in the first post with a proper section. I don't have time to write a full guide but it's easy to change those settings. I may try and find a link that demonstrates that with screen captures.

The exact issue that fixes is in non us/eu region settings xml parser has a bug, so it wont let you install the entitled DLCs you have. When u try to install the dlcs (from the ingame dlc menu or outside method) it downloads the stuff to %100 but it will say "Install failed" after a second.

Even your suggestions posted here will NOT solve this problem. BUT when changing the regional settings in your control panel to US, it will correctly install the dlc. its a quick workaround for the RestOftheWorld.

I hope this hasn't been asked 1000 times but I didn't want to wade through 60 pages of replies to the FAQ, so here goes.

I have a Deluxe Edition copy from Steam. All was working fairly well until I decided to uninstall Steam and move all my games over to D:\\\\Steam instead of the previous default location on the C drive. However, since I've done that, I haven't been able to play my game while logged in because I'm "unauthorized" for the Warden's Peak and Stone Prisoner DLC. Both of them are downloaded and listed under my 'entitlements', but they are also under Available Content to be purchased.

Using this FAQ I tried to restart my DAUpdaterSvc. It's there under Services, but it's still pointing to the old location and will not start because it's obviously not there anymore. I can't get it to start at all from the new location (D:\\\\Steam\\\\steamapps\\\\common\\\\dragon age origins\\\\bin_ship\\\\daupdatersvc.service.exe). I've tried "reinstalling" it and it doesn't work.

Can anyone help, or am I doomed to having to move the whole Steam install back to the default location? I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64bit version if its relevant.

EDIT:  Woo-hoo, I got it working.  I did it by using "Framework64" instead of the regular "Framework" folder in doing the uninstall/reinstall of the service.  I've never used a 64bit version of Windows before this so I was unaware there were two folders.

got it working by download manually and install manually. the DLC even appeared in-game under downloaded content and working But still have problem talking with the merchant to get the rod. But thats another thread ^^

Hey, the first 2 links (stone prisoner and wardens keep) dont start downloading but the link for the blood dragon armor worked perfectly, whats wrong? Or do they just take a long time to start?

Ive been trying for days to get this to work.  The game works fine without the DLC.  It keeps erroring out when i use it.  What good is promotional stuff you cant use?

Whoops, edited. Apparently the Return to Ostagar is not yet released for PC, so there is no need to update the guide with the manual link.

I recently reformatted my HD, before that everything was fine but now Warden's Keep, a DLC I don't own isn't showing up for me to buy. I've literally tried everything in this thread including the beta patch and totally reinstalling the game. Blood Dragon Armor and Stone Prisoner are both ready for me to download from the other tab however.



I'm gonna keep trying things but I've also emailed EA tech support cause I've no option left. I have to ask though, is it possible, at all, that Warden's Keep is "enabled" or some such only after you reach camp for the first time?

*sigh* here we go again.... can't get the other DLC to download.. this **** is REALLY gucking starting to get old... in fact it looks like the Stone Prisoner order DLC isn't downloading either... wonder if that may be the reason the quest isn't starting...



So... can anyone link me downloads for the ORDER DLCs for Stone Prisoner and RTO? ((the order DLCs would look something like DAO_PRC_OCP_1 and DAO_PRC_OCP_2)).



Hope fully I don't have to go through starting half a dozen threads again before someone pays attention to my post and links me something useful.

I've got another issue - at first some of the DLC downloaded and installed correctly and some got stuck at 0%. Then without any particular reason, after rebooting the game over and over again they started to download but at an extremaly low speed.
I was downloading the setup at 2mb/s and the wardens keep DLC for instance, took me over 3h to download >.<

Edit: Ive just downloaded and installed the DLC manually following your guide, everything seems to work sound.

Well I fixed my problem with a fix I haven't heard of before.. until I tried it.



I got my friend to send me his offers.xml file which then let me buy Warden's Keep.. Not a perfect fix but one I'm taking.

@Matukai it was, so Stone Prisoner was, some yjuist look and do not see - like ScytheKnightAU

@yoyoha for some main DLCs that is Warden's/Stone prisioner/Retunt for some were not working without offer DLCs
