I manually download it, but it doesn't detect it. This is bull****.
I'm not sure what you mean. Can you not open them in the daupdater.exe and install them from there?
Right click on the links and select “Save Target As”, or the equivalent in your browser. Save the .dazip file to your computer. If your browser tries to rename it to a .zip file, rename it back to .dazip after download.
Find the daupdater.exe application, it is usually located in the bin_ship directory in your Dragon Age
Installation (For example C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\daupdater.exe) Double click on it to open it.
Click on Select DAZIPs. Navigate to where you have saved the .dazip file and open it.
Now the .dazip file will appear on the Install tab. Select it on the list and click Install Selected.
There is also a beta fix available for the updater which might help.

EDIT: Just tried the beta fix. It showed "Return to Ostagar" in my available DLC list, downloaded that LIGHTNING fast, and that's it. My Warden's Keep and Stone Prisoner DLC are not available - in fact, it puts it under the first tab where it asks me to purchase it. None of my CE DLC or DA:J DLC is available.
Did the clear cache, reboot, all that all over again... and nothing. Just RtO.

You can also try the force load method to force the game to see the DLC as new. Doing this will force DLC items (Blood Dragon Armor, promo items, to appear in your inventory.)
* Go to the Game’s Main Menu
* Go the Installed Content Tab under Downloadable Content
* Find the DLC you are having problems with on the list of DLC.
* Clear the checkmark next to the DLC to disable it.
* Go back to the Main Menu and load your last save. When it gives you a message about DLC being disabled, Force Load the save.
* Make a new save with the DLC disabled.
* Exit back to the Main Menu
* Go back to the Installed Content Tab
* Click the empty square next to the DLC to get the checkmark back and reenable the DLC.
* Load the new save you made.
Also, while you're debugging things always make sure the Content Update service is running. Manually start it before you launch the game.
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START

BTW: I have .NET 3.5 (and all updates/Service Packs) installed.
So.. well.. I still have to start the service manually.
Best of luck fixing this issue :-)

We have a preview application that contains a number of the DA Updater fixes for the upcoming PC Patch.
You can try it out and see if it helps solve your problems in the meanwhile.
If you do, please let me know if it helps.

Also, you'll want to confirm your service starts when you boot the game. A few users have reported they need to manually start their service for some reason.
1. In Windows, Press start
2. Run "services.msc"
3. Find and start "Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater"
4. Restart game

I have installed this game through Steam and there is in fact a CD key listed in the config screen. I have previously played the game on other characters just fine and used the DLC.
Please try clearing your profile file
1) Log out of the game
2) Close Dragon Age: Origins
3) Navigate to \\\\My Documents\\\\bioware\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings
4) Back up, and then delete your profile.dap file
5) Boot the game and log back in
I am having this exact same problem, and also tried deleting my profile.dap file and entering my login information again.
I have previously played this game with all the DLC working just fine, but when trying to create a new character it seems to think my account is not associated with the DLC. I can assure you it's the exact same login I use here, and I can see the DLC being available in my profile.
I recently installed the 1.02a patch, so I wonder if this could have something to do with it.

Turns out I had to register my copy of DA:O on my profile here at social.bioware.com, even though it worked fine before without registering.
Is this a change made to where it has to be registered in your profile now? If so, it's pretty stupid that the game doesn't tell you this in any way, and I only found it by google searching and finding this thread.

If you are having trouble with content you are entitled to still being listed as requiring purchase follow the link in the troubleshooting guide to technical support, select the chat option, wait to be connected and then they credit the item to your account.
I had this problem and am now downloading the relevant adventure."
Where is the link to technical support?
There are like 3 troubleshooting guides and none of them seem to link to it.

Secondly, I have a problem with my Blood Dragon Armor DLC. I had decided to download install it manually and then use the redeem code. But I appear to have botched the install somewhat. How do I delete/uninstall all files related to the DLC so that I can reinstall with DAUpdater and then use my code?

Firstly, I have a misgiving regarding my DLC redeem code. Once redeemed/authorised, is the DLC still available if I uninstall the game and reinstall it(and the DLC) in the future or is the promo code meant for only a single install?

Once you redeem a code is is permenantly associated with your account and can be reinstalled as many times as you like.
You will always be able to see the DLC/promos/content associated with your account on your Registered Game Promotions Page
You should always redeem your code before you try and do any installation. The system is designed for automatic downloading of DLC, and requires the game to go online to authenticate your rights to use the DLC. Some of the things required to get automatic downloading working are also required to get the game to authorize the DLC.
However if you wish to delete the Blood Dragon Armor you downloaded delete the following files and directories- Note if you had any other free promo items installed this might need to cause them to be redownloaded:
My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\dao_prc_promo_me
My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Settings\\Addins.xml
My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Settings\\Manifest.xml

Everywhere else I asked, I was pointed to torrents or it was assumed I was trying to steal the game.
Appreciate this so much.

I just bought Dragon age off steam which it automatically downloaded, installed and updated. I redeemed my codes and went to the DLC ingame, all the content was downloaded but it refuses to install saying it needs game version 1 (I have ver 1.02) to install. Is there any work around for this?

The version number is likely a red herring. Its probably something else that is preventing you from installing.
Some things to try (these are all in the FAQ, but spread out a bit.):
1) Clear the Download Cache. You can do this by pening up the Configuration Utility and going to Repair.
2) Delete the addins.xml and manifest.xml files from the My Documents\\\\Bioware\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings folder
3) If your My Documents folder is on some other drive than C: move it back to the default location.
4) Set your Windows Region and Language Settings to US and English.
For installation problems its usually useful to try manually installing as described in section 4 of the FAQ, then you can see what sort of error message the DAUpdater is failing on. (Thus making it easier to figure out what's wrong.)

I bought the digital deluxe package, which was supposed to have all of the DLC content included. I've written down the key codes that my computer prompted me too, but when I start up the game it's showing that I need to purchase it still. And I can't find the tech support chat thing that was mentioned on the first page. I've registered my game, I looked at the user entitlement page and was able to down load the blood dragon plate, but it didn't say anything about wardons keep, shale or whatever else was supposed to be included in my purchase being available for down load. Could someone point in the proper direction please and thank you.
Its unclear from your post. Are The Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep listed on your http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php page, even if there isn't a download link? (There isn't supposed to be a download link on that page for Dragon Age DLC, btw, only ME2 content provides direct download links)? If they are not on that page at all, and you've entered all the codes that came with your game, you'll need to talk to your Retailer and/or EA Support about getting the content that was supposed to come with your game.
If they are on that page, the issue is likely that the Dragon Age Origins Content Update service is running. Try manually start it before you launch the game.
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START
If you get an error or its missing there is more advanced troubleshooting in Section 3 of the FAQ that is the first post of this thread.
You might also find the beta fix for the Content Updater useful.
