Seem to have a simular problem.
Purchased the game a couple of weeks ago.  Installed and redeemed the
two codes for the stone prisoner and the blood dragon armor.  Both show
up as installed and enabled in the DLC content area.  Started playing
and had the armor in my inventory, but did not have the village for the
stone prisoner on the world map.

Updated the game with the
latest patch today. I now have a new area on the world map (Bann Loren)
but still no village for the stone prisoner.  Would consider purchasing
some of the other DLC but would like to get what I'm supposed to have
working.  Any ideas??

Steve K.

Make sure that you have the Offer part of The Stone Prisoner installed. There's a direct link to it in section 4 of this FAQ. But I also have a few more details about this specific problem in Section 2 of the DLC In-Game Errors FAQ

Please note that in order for 3.1.3.1 to work correctly UAC must be enabled.  Otherwise the check box will be greyed out.

I initially found complete emptiness in DLC section after reinstalling DAO, however, after nuking all folders associated with DAO, and reinstalling it AGAIN and only putting my character saves in the appropriate spot it all worked and I dloaded them again. Only issue I had was with RTO which kept proclaiming dload failed. So I manually, dloaded the file, installed it with the installer app and it worked. Only thing I have now is RTO still sitting in the downloadable section with a repeat fail eventhough it's also in the installed section with a tick sitting firmly there next to enabled. NB: it is working, I can play. .My first attempt to reinstall DAO with all content copied across from docs folder ended up with RTO showing as unauthorised... there do appear to be some kinks that Bioware need to iron out there.

I'm having a problem whereby I'm trying to download the Warden's Keep, Blood Dragon Armor and Stone Prisoner content. The download is at 100%, but it wont go into "installed". The "Required Game Version is 1.0", and I recently updated this to 1.0a I believe.

Is there a way around this? Can I remove the patch?

I'm having the same issue... I can redeem and download the DLC The Stone Prisoner and Blood Dragon Armor, but they seem incompatible with the new 1.2a patch, and it wont go from downloaded to installed.

Is there a quick fix?  Can I remove the patch?  Do I have to uninstall and reinstall to revert back to 1.0?

Thanks

Likely you both have another issue preventing your DLC from installing that isn't related to the version number. The patch is likely not your problem, the messaging inside the game client just isn't very clear. There are various things in the FAQ that are suggested for installation problems, here's a quick summary.

* Clear the download cache
* Delete the manifest.xml and addins.xml file from My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Settings
* Make sure the physical location of your My Documents directory is on the C: drive
* Set Windows Region and Language Settings to English (United States)
* Manually download and install the DLC.

If none of these works, the manual install process will give more useful error messages, so its easier to figure out what's wrong.

@Ejdemyr

Have you gone through the FAQ that is the first post of this thread? As a first step make sure your Dragon Age Origins Content Update service is running before you start the game:

1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START

Ok, I'll try those.  It's just interesting to note that when you preview the downloads while ingame in the downloaded tab, the window on the right displays the version required as 1.0, and in red.  I've seen screenshots of others where it is not red (I think maybe green or black).  Seemed to be trying to indicate that was the problem, though there was no link/help/further explanation that I could find.

Thank you so much for this thread. I got problems when I upgraded my computer from to vista to w7 and had to reinstall Dragonage. The only help I got from support was: "Make sure that you are logged in to the same account that you used to buy the content." even though I stated in my request for help that I was. But now everything works as it should :D

Dragon Age doesn't provide download links from the Registered Game Promotions Page.  The DLC should download automatically when you log into the game with the same email address and password from your account here (that you redeemed the content with.)  If it doesn't, well, that's why there is this FAQ.  Go through the FAQ that is the first post of this thread.

As a first step start the Dragon Age Content Update service before you launch the game:

1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START

When I click "Select DAZIPs" and go to the location of my downloaded zip files, nothing shows up...

Note:   The location C:\\\\Users\\\\All Users\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\DAUpdater\\\\ does not even come close to existing on my pc.   I am running XP and there is no way to access all users. I go to my Program Files and there is no Bioware folder, only a Dragon Age one.  Also there is NO "Info" folder and Data contains nothing like what I just downloaded.      Pretty much none of this process is working for me.    I am trying to fix this because there is NO "Stone Prisoner" quest appearing in my Journal and there is no quest appearing for my Blood Dragon Armor.  but I can get Shale's Crystals and in the in-game DLC menu it shows the quests enabled...    What the hell is goin on?

Aryonas, likely you are missing the Offer piece of The Stone Prisoner quest, that is why there is no quest for it in your journal. Does Sulcher's Pass show up on the World Map? There is a link to download in the FAQ that is the first post of this thread, or if you want specific instructions see Section 2 of the DLC In-Game Errors FAQ.

There is no quest for the Blood Dragon Armor. The chestpiece should appear in your inventory at the start of the game, and all other pieces are for sale from the merchant in the Party Camp.

:) Thanx for this. For me the 3.2.2 solved the 0.1.8 problem.

I have had all the DLC and the collector's edition installed and running without incident for months now, but today I put in this mod that changed the way massive armor looks and now it says all my DLC is unauthorized after I exited the game and went back in. I've since removed the mod but it still says everything is unauthorized. Any suggestions?

Have you installed anything else today, such as the 1.03 patch?  Particularly if you have Steam, which auto updates and the update can leave the Dragon Age Origins Content Update service in a bad state.

If you have Steam I have seen a couple of different fixes for things, try one or both:

1) Verify integrity of Game Cache - Game tabs - Right click Dragon Age - View Downloadable Content - Local Files - Verify

2) Run the DA Update Service Diagnostic Beta, won't write over the files 1.03 changed, but will fix installation issues with the service.

If that doesn't resolve things see Section 5 fo the DLC In-Game Errors FAQ for more indepth help about the unauthorized DLC issue.

Okay, I just tried to download The Stone Prisoner. It didn't go. So I clear the cache like the guide says, and it tries to download the Dragon Armor again, in addition to the stone prisoner. Every time it gets to 100%, it tries to install ITSELF over ITSELF causing an error. So, I clear out all the downloaded information, again, following a FAQ, and wonder of wonders, The Stone Prisoner downloads. But not the Dragon Armor. It hangs at 0%. For 2 HOURS. So I clear the cache again. Nothing. Again. Nothing. I sit and click the clear cache button for TEN MINUTES. Nothing, 0%. So, I manually install it. 2 minutes downloading, 2 seconds installing. And the game still thinks the Dragon Armor is stuck at 0%.

Forget the autodownloader, I'm bookmarking this page so I can manually install everything.

Whoever decided that we couldn't download and install these DLC ourselves and had to be handheld by the game should be fired.

From a cannon.
