As per Jaredor, I've been running DAO without incident for some time. I installed the 1.03 patch tonight and suddenly the DLC is suddenly unauthorised, is there a quick fix? I will also be following the advice given to Jaredor in the meantime, (For some reason I have a 7k download speed from bioware servers for the updater so it will take a while LOL.

The advice to Jaredor will probably fix things for you if the Content Update service is having problems.  If the service was running properly, it might have been just an intermittent server connection problem.

I would just like to say thank you for putting in work to help all of us with trouble use a product we legally paid for that would work fine only if EA would have just let Bioware do its thing without getting dragged down with DRM bulls♣☻♥♦.

I was not showing any DLC in any of my 3 tabs and was trying to figure out how to get the content I had gotten when I bought the digital deluxe edition during Christmas.What worked for me was to use the DAUServiceDiagnostic_beta someone linked after i reinstalled my .NET framework. Hope that helps someone.

Hi all,



After getting "Dragon Age origins Deluxe edition" from Steam I had no download able content showing in the Download content of the game "It showed nothing" I then downloaded and installed the DAZIP files associated with the download content I purchased. I was then able to see the content but when I tried to download it I was unable to as the redeem it had already been used. I have tried everything in http://social.biowar...y-81613-1.html. Have been trying to get this fixed for over 3 weeks Steam said "Not our problem" Bioware's response was to copy and paste there help files to me one at a time. After following all there instructions last answer reinstall the game. Did that, still same problem. I am guessing the help desk guy doesn't really exist and the responses I have been getting are computer generated. What a pain in the ..... will never buy from steam again and Bioware need to get some real people into help rather than copy and paste the help files!



Hope everyone is enjoying the game would like to play it one day!!!!!!

Wombybat - It sounds like you had the same problem I did. Nothing in any of the 3 tabs in the DLC section of the main screen. I didn't download the files separately, so I don't know if this will apply to you, but update your .NET framework to 2.0 or later and use the DAUServiceDiagnostic_beta. Sorted out my issues as all my eligable DLC is downloading now.

It is annoying, why should one fix the problem himself? That should be fixed by those swho made tha game, so why dont they just fix it with a patch?!? !!

So I got all of my DLC installed. Getting Shale unfrozen right now. I have the Blood Dragon armor enabled but it is nowhere to be found. Help?

Edit: Now its not authorized and wont let me load my saves. (sigh)

For whatever reason my computer failed to uninstall or reinstall the service required for this even though it was displayed as non running in the service window. I did find out that I could trick it into running by copying the files 3x files relating to DAUpdater, the "service" file and the Installutil file to the path that the service was running from. Doing this allowed me to start the service and get my DLC.

But now, the edge is stuck at extracting and all the others at 100% so whatever. Guess I'm not ment ot have it.

Dunno how it will help anyone but mine was purchased off of impulse, following the command directly would result in an error. My game is installed on a seperate drive from windows 7 64 bit flavor.

I didn't see this covered in the OP: I have bought the game retail, so I have 2 discs & stuff and while I was installing the game I decided that it would be a good idea to already DL the DLC available for this game, which means Shale and BDA for me. So I registered these codes and everything went fine until I couldnt download the files. The place where normally (=for ME2) "Download" is placed, theres just "---". All 3 tabs ingame are blank aswell.

Some ideas what I did wrong?

I think I'll just completely remove all my crap from my computer and start reinstalling from scratch. Was way overdue anyways. Lets hope it'll work the.

have been trying to fix it for 3 days and nothing is working

no reply from tech services either

i dont have anything to download and install. ostagar is available.

so far i have logged about 20 hours trying to fix it.

i have installed and reinstalled. etc etc.

the lag is terrible,  lockups, and getting stuck on objects as i move around.

cant bioware release a polished game?

and i have waste about 75 bucks on this crap.

i would rate this game at 2/10

I have a question. My computer crashed a while ago and I was not able to transfer all my DAO saved data into a USB or disk so it is lost. If I am to download DAO into my other PC, would I still be able to gain access to my DLC? Obviously I have an account for DAO, so I am wondering if the available free DLC would still be in the Main Menu if I am to log in after re-downloading the game. Thanks

Ok, so my DLC did appear in the DLC tab, and I have successfully downloaded my free Blood Dragon Armor no problem, but the Stone Prisoner has been freezing up during the download process. It has froze more than once so a small message appeared stating that there is a problem of some sort and I need to visit the EA support website. This, however, does not help at all, so I'm wondering is there something you can help me with? I don't understand how my BD Armor was no problem, but Stone Prisoner was. Thanks again.

Hello all-

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue.



I just downloaded Dragon Age:Origins Collector's Edition and downloaded the DLC fine. I got the Collector's Edition from Steam and after the DLC finished downloading it said Unauthorized and I can no longer resume my saved game due to it saying to log in as the authorized user. My username is correct and logged in fine. My hard drive is partitioned into C and D drive. The C drive is where the saved content (created character, achievements) is while the D drive is where the game is saved from Steam. I know I have seen other users with this issue but I have done a little troubleshooting but nothing has worked so far. I'm not terribly computer savvy so it is difficult for me to locate exactly what I need to do. Any help would be great.

What does one do to remove items from the available download list when said items are already installed?  I've got all my DLC in and working, but at some point I ended up with all the official DLC that I have access to returning to the downloadable tab.

I recently reinstalled Dragon Age, and now the cut scenes and the dialog for them are all out of sync. The scenes play thru real fast and then the dialogue goes on for a bit. The more people talking the worse it is. Any one seen or heard of this problem or have any ideas how to fix it?

well i read the OP several times, tried a few options and guess what, i still can't get RtO to work.. the dlc location is on the map, i go there, try to talk to the fella for the ingame download, and i get the same stupidly annoying message i've been getting for weeks now... sorry, your request could not be completed at this time, please try again later..

Try deleting the Offers.xml and Manifest.xml file in the My Documents\\\\Bioware\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings directory.  Then go to the Configuration Utility.  (From the game launcher click Configure).  When the Config Utility starts up go to Repair, then click on Clear Download Cache.

Now launch the game and log in, the two XML files should regenerate and the RtO offer should be redownloaded, you will have to wait a little bit for the game to redownload it.  It it doesn't, manually download and install all the downloads that are marked "offer" in Section 4 of the first post of this thread.

Its regenerating the offers.xml file that often fixes your probelm, the other stuff is just to make sure it gets regenerated properly.

Ok I'm pretty computer illiterate and all the info in the OP is just too complicated... I don't know where to begin!

I got the digital deluxe edition of DA:O from Steam. My bioware profile entitlements thingy says I have Warden's Keep, Blood Dragon Armor, Collector's Edition, and The Stone Prisoner as "registered game promotions".

Yet I don't think any of them are installed on my game. When I go to "downloadable content" there is nothign in the "installed content" tab, and only Stone Prisoner and Return to Ostagar in the "available content" area.

I have absolutely no idea what to do. I want to install all the stuff that came with the Digital Deluxe edition, but I don't know where to start or what to do.

I'd really appreciate any help.

edit: I'm running Vista 64, if that matters.
