I have followed through as much as I could on the first page (I am really not too great with computers BUT I did find files you were asking for)

I have the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater, but when I try to 'Start' it, it says that it started then stopped because it had 'No work to do', so I went onto the next point which is errors in it starting, and that is where I got lost, I have read through it time and time again but each time I do it I do not know what to type in.. I am really sorry I am bad at computers, some help would be nice but looking at past posts very unlikely.



ALSO, what is with BioWare's tips on installing? On the redeemed codes page, there is no link to save or anything.. Confussing..

I've stopped and started service when game ran and after that it started to download DLC. Only one (Embri's Many Pockets) stucked in download tab so I manually install it. It's in game and it works but it's still stucked in Download Tab. Is there a way to fix it?

Good god, over 10 hours and I was finally able to dug up what was necessary to get the Soldier's Peak mission to begin and levi to leave after agreeing. It mostly boils down to the cache being emptied, but what is most often left out is that A) it must be configured with the app within the bin_ship folder and must be done as the administrator (using vista). That's how I got mine to work after redownloading several times with no success



Now lets see if I run into any of those item/shale glitches I hear so much about (prays)

I installed DAO my other computer and I'm logged into my online account and everything and I can't get my DLCs back like Stone Prisoner from the Redeem Code. How can I get it back? Sorry if I seem a noob

Hmmm, my issue with Ostagar is it 'may require a newer version of the game than you currently have' does this mean I need Awakening to play it?

I now tried everything described here and finally (after changing the language settings to English (USA) the memory band was downloaded. All the other small DLCs I have downloaded using the links at the first page of this thread. Unfortunately I can neither Stone Prisoner nor Wardens Keep download this way as all downloadlinks are only working with like 6 KB/sec - which would mean some days till I have downloaded these (not that it let me do it anyway, it stops with an error message after an hour or so).
Trying it ingame also does not work as it stops with "download error" at 0%.
Anyone here willing to try to start the download for Stone Prisoner at the first page of the thread and telling me if he also has such low downloadrate? I would really like to know if it is their server or if there is still an issue with my PC.

My problem is a bit more complicated all the downloads i made installed perfectly but at %100 it says install failed and there is no download button only retry button cant figure the problem and cant find the thread about this

Now I have been ranting about that in another thread already but I fear I'll just give up on DOA if those problems aren't fixed soon. THe biggest joke is that I can't even choose which partition to install DAO on if I still want DLC to work. I mean what year do we have? Seriously....

Now while over the last year I haven't had much time which is why I still haven't seen most of DOA but I've loved every other bioware game I have played so far and atm I don't see a reason for DOA to be any different but this is ridiculous. Even before I moved it to another partition I was always afraid to even log in to my account because the unauthorized rror might come up again forcing me to fix it which involves downloading all DLC all over again.....



I don't know who's to blame - bioware or EA but for a game that's been out as long as this one to still have this kind of issue is seriously a turn-off. I might just get something else to occupy my spare time over the next two weeks (I missed a lot of supposedly good games over the last two years so I have quite a gallery of fine stuff to choose from that's out in budget versions already.)

I purchased 800 pts and redeemed 1/2 to play Darkspawn Chronicles. (Fun)

I redeemed the balance for Return to Ostagar - it downloaded and shows up in the INSTALLED content tab, no longer in the available content tab.

When I load the game and select 'other campaigns' -- ONLY DC shows up and not Ostagar.

WTH?

Excuse me while I answer my own question. Yes I may. I have already loaded in the Blood Dragon armor and Shale and Soldiers Keep. I wish to thank Bioware\\Bethesda(not my bold) for having a way to do this. I am retired on a fixed income, so did not relish having to purchase the game again. Although I might break down and get a copy of the Collector's Edition. Or a game book for Exalted, or Pathfinder, or...

im going nuts, my profile says i have down loadable content for the collectors edition, but in-game say i have to pay for it! im really losing patience. Any help would be nice, im trying to hurl through the OP. Even from here it wont let me download the individuals packages.

I have previously had steam on a diff HDD, from their i stalled DLC, i didnt play DA for over a yr at all.

decided to move steam folder to a new HDD progame folder where all the other app are normally installed. I cut and pasted my shole library their.

Started playing DA, got to a section where i meet this guy who knew Ducan and then it asked me to buy content. Went to see what the issue was, sadi content unautherised.

So i made a steam backup of DA, unintstalled it, reinstalled it and now no DLC is showing even though i can see it in my bioware registered DCL section including MASS effect 2 dragon armour.


What im going to try overnight is delete it off steam and delete my my/doc DA folder, and reinstall from scratch and not from a backup.

return to ostagar isn't another campain like DC go into your origins game and there should be a new area unlocked by the mages tower, go there and help the guy he'll tell you all about ostagar and send you there to retrieve all the items

thats what mine is doing, all my DLC except for Mass Effect Dragon Amour is available to Download.
