Okay, I've got the DLCs installed (according to the "Downloadable content" menu in the game), they're enabled, I'm logged in but they're still not working in the game - there's no Honnleath (after speaking to Felix naturally), no extra items from CE or Blood Dragon Armor and no Warden's keep!

I bought the digital deluxe version, its fully updated, I've got Awakening as well (enabled but I'm playing the Origins part) and I'm running Windows XP SP3. I've removed the DLCs in accordance with 3.3.1 several times, tried it with the addition of 4.3 three times, reinstalled the whole game and all the DLCs once but to no avail. Furthermore I've logged in and out, enabled/disabled the DLCs a couple of times and tried running with only one or two DLCs enabled but still not working. Finally I tried the "save game, disable DLC, force load, save again, enable DLC and load"-trick (or whatever you'd call it) without any succes.

I'm at my wits end here - so far it seems I wasted a lot of money for a game that does nothing else than the standard version would do! Please help.

Hm, okaay... running the game in administrator mode gives access to the DLC but in that mode I can't play Awakening? I mean, wtf? ...oh, and I bought the game from Steam btw (dunno if that helps but its additional info)

Ok, I just changed my email address on both EA and now the social site to my new address. The old one is gone. Everything went smoothly and the promotions page is showing correctly that I have Stone Prisoner and Wardens Keep and Blood Dragon Armor.



However, when I go in game, and log in using my new login, it shows Stone Prisoner and Wardens Keep as Unauthorized, but shows Blood Dragon Armor as Authorized. What is the deal? Any help will be greatly appreciated...

 i redeemed the 2 codes, "stone prisoner and the blood armor" and when im going to download it in site, i just have 3 "---" instead of the usual "download" like i have in the mass effect 2 game, whats the problem? can someone help me?

strangely the redeemed codes appeared on the download list in game and are already installed.

Okay, so.. I have purchased every DLC for Dragon Age, which have worked perfectly up until now. Now, none of the DLCs will work, just stating "Unauthorized".
I am logged in to my account, I am the legal owner of every DLC, and I have tried everything the first post says.. Any ideas?

Edit: NVM, it started working all of a sudden..

I've been having similar problems. If you leave it on the main menu screen for about 1 min (in-game, not the launcher), it should authorise your dlc. Also make sure your firewall is setup to allow DA to connect to the outside world.

I wanted to provide an update.  I got it working.  These are the exact steps  I took.  I had to redownload all of the official DLC and reinstall all of my mods, but it DID work.  Here are the steps:

Shut down Dragon Age: Origins
From the Windows desktop, click the Start button, then select Run
At the command prompt, type "net stop
DAUpdaterSvc" and click OK
Navigate to My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings and delete the files Manifest.xml, Offers.xml, and addins.xml
Navigate to My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age and delete the Offers folder
Go
to C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\BioWare\\Dragon
Age\\ and delete the DAUpdater folder (where C: is the default
directory)
Navigate back to My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age and delete the folder called AddIns
Return to the command prompt (click Start, then Run) and type "net start DAUpdaterSvc" before clicking OK
Restart Dragon Age: Origins and log in

I hope this solves some of the issues others are having as well.  Good luck all!

I just purchased the game and I am trying to download the blood dragon armor but the download link just has dashes.

@ Steven1883: That's because most of DA:O's DLCs for PC are downloaded and installed automatically in the game after logging in to the account which has the proper entitlements. You can check the progress in the Downloadable Content tab.

Just a tip for anyone who has User-created Addins installed (like ELF the cat, and no-helmet mod) and cannot install Leliana's song. This fixed it for me, so it might work for you!

1) make a backup of addins.xml (it's in My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings)
2) delete everything between and in the live addins.xml file
3) Install
4) From your backed-up addins.xml file, copy everything between and then paste it into the live addins.xml file, after the last tag
5) Play!

Why the f*!# are the DLC's not working anymore?! Now everything is anauthorized! While I appreciate the people here, trying to provide solutions, I don't accept that I have now go through all these instructions to get the game running normaly again. Actually get it running at all, cause I can't load sh't. How can it be that there is a patch like this even released?! This is ridiculous! Not to mention people payed for it. What's wrong with you, Bioware/Ea?!

for me the DLC downloads without a hitch but will not install ever...

the only thing that is visually wrong is it says 'requires patch 1.0' in red like having patch 1.4 isn't anywhere good enough as 1.0...

I tried running the manual isntall and they don't show up anywhere,HELL when I try to input the programs I need to find it can't find them.

is the 1.0 being red my problem? like an out of date patch even tho I have 1.4?

PS I have tried all of these and to no avail and alot of frustration.

On my system the DAUpdater service doesn't work half the time. I always need to start it up manually, despite the fact that it's set to starting up automatically. This usually occurs after I have played the game, exited it and started it up again at a later time.

It's annoying, bah. I'm almost considering writing a wrapper executable that ensures that the service is always running before the game starts.

Despite having patched with 1.4 NONE of my DLC will download. All the content shows other patch requirements like 1.0 or 1.3 in red. Logic would dictate that 1.4 should cover it so why can't I install the content I just spent money on??

I downloaded and installed Leliana's Song, but when I play, she is a bald generic female, and during cutscenes she is invisible. In the Arl's Estate the game crashes every time I try to place the documents in the desk. It is impossible to advance any further in the quest. I've tried re-downloading the file, re-installing, deleting all the Leliana's Song files and re-installing again... same result every time. I have found that a number of people are having this problem and there doesn't seem to be any common factor, such as all of us having the same operating system or patch version, etc. The problem shows up regardless of whether the DLC is downloaded automatically or manually.

Has anyone found a solution for this?

The fix that worked for me for the 0% or 100% stuck at download was this:



go to start menu on desktop, type services.msc in the 'run' box, then scroll down to dragon age origins content updater and switch to manually, then start the service. After playing, restart your computer, do the same only this time start content updater and then switch to automatic, it will then stick to starting up at boot.







This all is necessary because the content updater won't start automatically for some people.



Needed 8 months to figure this one out....

Yeah, I tried to reinstall my game and now instead of seeing ALL the available content it shows none...shows my point balance tho...shows things that can be downloaded but when at 100% downloaded sits there not even trying to install.

and it shows also the 1.0 is red like I don't have the patch even tho one would think that patch 1.4>1.0

Any help would be GREATLY,GREATLY appreciated.

Yes I did and I was so sure it would work I mighta botched it since my updater was already on manual so I tried to just reset it the way you said, but to no avail I literally have tried to fix this through tinkering for 10 hours straight.

now I finally uncovered the DAUpdater.exe and the bin_ship folder.
even tho I have the files on say desktop...it will not see them when using the DAUpdater.

and just wondering whats the difference or what the hell is a DAZIP file?

I have heard of zipped files and what not but not DAZIP and apparently DAU[dater.exe only recognizes DAZIP.


**EDIT** man this game is still HELLBENT that 1.0>1.4

I honestly beleive a patch messup is the problem here.

I cannot find patch 1.0 anywhere.

dazip files are modded files, the file format helps to easily install mods through da updater.
But you don't need da updater for dlc.

You could also try this: when dao starts, you can go to configure and play ect.
Click configure, go to online, and click 'clear download cache'. After that, start the game and the dlc will be downloaded again. Hope that fixes it, because i had exactly the same problem, my dlc would stick at 100%. I don't know another way.

EDIT: forgot to say that the 1.0>1,4 doesn't do anything, it's just a minimum requirement for the dlc.

I tried that 'c lear download cache' and it doesn't do a thing I go back into DAO and it's stuck at 100%(blood armor and Stone prisoner)

this worked before my computers motherboard crashed a while back when I was using XP but now that my OS was upgraded to Vista and stayed that way ever since it won't install the DLC...back to more arduous searching thanks for trying T_T

Ghost-Sniper, I have the same issue you and Capricasix had, my downloadable content is stuck on 0%. I've tried your fix, but the updater was already set on manual. I haven't played DA in a while but I've payed for this game and the DLC and not having them accessible is very frustrating.

I have tried nearly all the fixes from the OP, but prefer not to try downloading the DLC manually (I am unsure if this is actually a authorised way of fixing it) and still my downloads are stuck on 0%.

I have had DA:O installed before when I still had Vista and my DLC downloaded just fine back then., a while ago I installed windows 7, and not so long ago installed DA:O once again, here is where the issues happened.

I have bought the Collector's Edition last winter, installed and redeemed everything. Looking at my profile, I own the following items:

Collector's Edition, Stone Prisoner, Lucky Stone, The Edge



Picking the game up again and re-installing now, I can only dl the Edge in-game. Stone Prisoner shows up under available content, clicking on it say I already own it and I should be able to find it in the Downloadable Content section of the main menu (I guess this is the DL progress tab), where it does not appear. I don't see the other two anywhere at all.



However, if I try to start an old savegame, it notes that Stone Prisoner, Lucky Stone and Collector's Edition are required and not present.



Item 0.1.9 on this list that might apply to my troubles mentions a "troubleshooting guide" where I was to follow a link to "technical support" and then "chat". I have no idea what this should be about.
