I've done all this stuff, but I still can't get Golems to work--stays at 0%. I've never had a game in which getting content to work took a PhD in rocket science. Should I try uninstalling / reinstalling the game? If I do that, however, will my other DLC stuff--stone prisoner, etc--be hosed up? If that's the case, I'd rather just try to get my five bucks back.

I have got problem: "0.1.12. Content Not Authorized when it worked before."after pc cleanup

No DLC(except for andrastes pockets) is authorized

After trying about everything explained here and more it still says I'm unauthorized when I'm logged in.

I've even reinstaled the game, all DLC and DirectX

the only thing that did worked was to logout. But because it used to be alright I hope there's another solution.

some information (if it helps):

Vista Home Premium(or Windows 7 Prof.) 32bit, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT, DirectX 10.0 (Aug2009) or later, patch v1.04(previous versions just doesn't work with new DLC)

Should you be referring to Hemis H. (author of the Original Post here), he may be around the site somewhere, but he isn't making a habit of posting messages here any more. You probably would be more likely to reach him with a PM.

He is my heroe...simple solution and it worked right away. Sad though that bioware did'nt put in the effort to find the solutions and help out their customers. Looking forward to DA II

I was downloading some DLC and it was working fine. It was at about 70%. Then i went on xbox and when i looked back at my laptop it had crashed. I restarted it and ran DA and had the problem that it was stuck at 0%. So in the DA startup i went to configure, repair and then clear download cache. I went back on DA and saw that the DLC i was downloading and had been redeemed from a code was in the first tab and i only had the option to buy it and the other DLC i had downloaded before from a code was unauthorized. Im logged into the right account so i dont know what is going on. what should i do?

Hi,

I have successfully downloaded The Golems of Arragak, and it showed up in the Installed section. But I can't activate because of Missing Requirements, that is v 1.04.

I went to http://social.biowar...page/da-patches to download patch 1.04, run the update, but still I can't activate the Golemn. What should I do next?

i have just bought the digital deluxe.

i have reedemed the Warden's Keep, The Stone Prisoner, Blood Dragon Armor successfully.

But i don't see the other 3 items for the digital deluxe: Bergen's Honor , Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes, Final Reason (and not an entry saying Collector/Deluxe items).

plus i dont see the missing items in this site ( http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php )

And plus when i installed the game for the first time i had to click on activate button, that after it said "activation success, digital deluxe".

Where the hell is the dlc ?

I am going to try and use your comp. on my GoA download stuck a 0%. REGARDLESS you and whoever contributed information are true to life spirited gamers. having did all this work. ( I can't imagine the time putting this worksheet together?) You did this just to help others from having to grudge such a great game from foolish bugs. I just want to say. I APPRECIATE all this work you and your help have done. You sir are commendable. I am sure with this I will fix my issue. Thank you in behalf of the BIOWARE SocialNetwork.

(Possible DLC-not-showing fix)

(I got the Dragon Age bought through steam)

My problem was that the DLC didn't show in either of the 3 DLC tabs.
After 2-3 days of reading forums and looking through offical DA websites, I got a little inspiration.
It seemed like my DAupdater wasn't working correctly, and that this "Net Framework" program wasn't up to date...
I tried a lot of stuff from all the forums, and specially from this forum (HemisH, great job!), but it didn't seem work...
So what I did, to get it to work, was quite simple.
1. Made sure that I had both and http://www.ea.dk/ and http://www.bioware.com/ account.
2. Made sure that Dragon Age: Origins was registret ON BOTH ACCOUNTS.
2. Downloaded the newest "Net Framework (4)
3. Rebooted the computer
4. Uninstalled Dragon Age: Origins
5. Installed Dragon Age: Origins (Didn't reboot after install, but I guess it doesn't matter)
And suddenly everything is apearing in the tabs! And the login works how it should work.

I hope this will help some of my fellow DLC-issue-Bros :)

//WraiQ

Edit- Oh yeah! And NONE of my DLC is unauthorized anymore.

I tried all of that above and can not get it to work.... I am so pissed off that after I switched over DA:O from my computer to my TB drive I am unarthorized to the dlc I got with the game nor the dlc I brought through the bioware points. So I invest 100 bucks into a game i will never finish...  I doubt I will ever get it to work. I tried everything googled it found 5 possible ways... Nothing worked and all the content doesn't show up. Its all in the files... I must of screwed something up. This problem for me was abit out of my league. I am thinking outside of the box here..... Lets say that Bioware dropped the ball. or E.A.  did... i blame them both. Ok to me the fact i bought content and invested 100 into a game i have to work for to make it work. is crazy. Insanitry at its finest. PC gaming is dead and consoles are a big money dump with out dated tech ps3 or 360 both substandred peices of crap. ok. Maybe a bit harsh. Hey I got jacked by Bioware. Atleast make sure your DRM system works before throwing it out to the market. Failing to do so is fraud, but hey remember me T.O.L/A.? Yeah ok you have good lawyers you win this time Bioware. WRONG! last game I buy from you. If anyone else has half a brain you'd wouldn't stand for this **** either.
I DO NOT WORK FOR BIOWARE. So I shouldn't  have to work when I buy a game. I am not a programer nor techy so don't treat me like one. patch it or <3<3<3<3 off

If you have moved your DA:O folder to an external drive without uninstalling then reinstalling it, you have also moved the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater service executable image (which is responsible for the DLC authorization and download) to this folder without reflecting this change in the service settings. This means that Windows is unable to know where the service executable is now located and it cannot start it which results in all your DLC fail to be authorized.

However, you can fix this issue in two ways:

1. The first method is to copy the service executable image at the location actually known by Windows:
  • open Windows main menu, select Run..., type "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
  • in the Services window, look for Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater service
  • right-click on this service and select Properties in the contextual menu
  • write down the full path to DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe specified in the Excutable Path field then close the Properties window and the Services window.
  • on the drive specified in the path you noted in the previous step, make the folders required to re-create this path then copy the content of your actual bin_ship folder (located in the main Dragon Age folder) in this new location. You MUST copy the content of this folder, NOT the folder itself.
2. The second method is to modify the service registry to reflect the new location of its executable image.
  • the first thing to do is to find where is located DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe on your computer and to write down its full path.
  • next, open Windows main menu and select Run..., type "regedit" (without the quotes) and press Enter
  • the Registry Editor window will open. In the left-hand column, you can notice several entries with folder-like icons and a small triangle next to it. When you click on a clear triangle, you expand the sub-entries present in this entry.
  • so open the following entries:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/DAUpdaterSvc
  • when you click on DAUpdaterSvc (not the triangle, the entry itself), you can see several lines in the right-hand part of the editor. One of this line is named ImagePath.
  • double-click on ImagePath to open its modify panel.
  • in the lower field of this panel, you can see the path to DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe as it is currently known by Windows (ie where this .Exe file has been initially installed). If this path does not match your current path to DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe, then replace it with the correct path.
  • once this is Done, click OK and close the Registry Editor window.

Cool thanks A million. Your second option worked. I been trying to fix this problem on and off for about 7 months. I will refer this to anyone else I see who has this problem thanks again. I think Bioware should give you a job if you don't already work for them.

Thanks a million, guys!
Just baught this game (right in time before DA 2 :P ) and was slightly upset that it didn't seem to work. But the clear instructions on here got it downloading no problem.

Odds are pretty low that I'll ever run into any of you, but I owe you at least a beer or other beverage of your choice!

Strangely enough I have problems when I haven't even played in months. Mine is linked to the Account Unauthorized area. I keep myself permanently logged in and play off of Steam, for informational purposes. I've tried repairing the updater and using the beta program and I still can not get my DLC to authorize for my account. And in funny thing is, any item DLC such as the Edge and Embri's Many Pockets for autorized and ready. It is the DLC I paid Bioware points for or DLC that could be paid for with Bioware points that is unauthorized.
