i also have a problem with DLC. When i log in installed content it seems ok, everything`s right, but when i start to load game i had error what i need to log in users with this content. And it happens every time when i exit from download content.

I have a question: How do I transfer my items from the DLC-campaigns to my Origins/Awakening campaign? For instance, I played the Darkspawn Chronicles, and found lots of cute items & gifts. But now once I finished the Chronicles, I don't know how to transfer the stuff to my main character. I did not find the solution in the FAQ list either.

Found how to download DLC content from this site, not sure how I found it, was noodling around and found a list of the DLC I had paid for and noticed a download link, bingo.  DAUpdater from there after download.  Looks like everything is back in place the way it was before I installed Awakenings after installing patch 1.04, would it really be difficult to release an expansion pack that does not roll back patched games when installed?

I'm having a problem with darkspawn chronicals stuck and 0%, and I can't seem to run daupdater as an exe program. Is there something I have to do first? I have daupdater.engine.dll and daupdatersvc.service, neither of which I am able to run.

for my one, is Withhunt... I already manually installed but it still struck at 0%. HELP!

I'm having a problem where I got the GOA folder on my hard drive, but when I open my DAupdater thingy I can't do anything with it. I can open it, sure, but that doesn't really do anything? How exactly do I add it to my DAupdater so that I can install it?

You probably forgot to change the *zip into a *dazip file.

This is the problem. I changed the name to .dazip, but I can't do anything with it. It's not possible to add it to my DAupdater, even though I can use the DAupdater to find it. All i can do is open it, but that doesn't add it to my DAupdater list.

Everything I can see tells me that the DLC (Warden's Keep, Stone Prisoner, and RtO) are installed properly: they're even enabled and authorized.  All the folders and files are in the right place, and I can't see anything wrong.  But when I go to the questgivers to start the actual DLC, I'm still getting the "(Buy the DLC)" dialogue option, and so I'm not actually able to play any of the DLC.  What gives?

I'm not seeing an entry in any of the FAQs that deals with this particular problem, but in 91 pages of problems, it's possible that I'm missing something.  I've tried force-downloading the DLC again, I've tried installing the DLC manually, I've tried playing while logged in, playing when logged off, I've uninstalled everything and reinstalled it clean, and it's still broken.  1.04 patch on WinXP, and I didn't have this problem when I played last year on the same computer.  What's the next thing I should try?

My problem is this -

- I have paid for the Collectors edition, completed Shale (etc), got as achievements

- Paid for and completed Warden's keep - achievements (etc)



Now Warden's has disappeared from my map, and also from my download list. I.e. I can't redownload it and it doesn't appear to be in my list of purchased games. Sent EA a ticket - no response, and can't seem to find an answer in these forums. Any ideas folks?

keeveek how did you solve this problem? I also bought UE on EAstore & didn't receive promo code.
I took all applicable actions described in the 1 post of the thread and unfortunately I can't still play full Ultimate Edition content.

....3.2.2. Manually start the Dragon Age Updater Service if present



1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER

2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.

3.) Right click it and select START

4.) If nothing happens, run the game check the DLC content section again



..... this bit, my DLC's are working again. Thanks guys and gals from the support department.



(It's easy to complain and spout negative tekst, but you guys also require a pat on the back at times)

Hmm, I will try it now. Bought The Ultimate edition in London and my DlC have not worked at all.

I followed your steps. I bought Witch Hunt DLC. I have installed the 1.04 patch and all my other DLC is authorized. However, when I go to my installed content in DA then Witch Hunt is seen as unauthorized. I log off from my account and then log back on (I only have one account). Walla!! Witch Hunt DLC has been authorized! Then suddenly a few seconds later...F*** Witch Hunt has been set to unauthorized yet again!  However after I have done this (Its like the 7th time that I have logged off and on) I can choose witch Hunt at Other Campaigns. BUT...when I import one of my other characters or create a new one and try and start the game to play, the screen loads for +-1 second and then I get a Error message in the Dragon Age main menu that says "Unable to load Area" Can you please help me.

PS. This only leads people who buy legitimate DLC to resort to piracy.  However while I am not one of these people, I can say that I am tempted to get my friends pirated DA:O with his illegal Witch Hunt DLC, ONLY TO PLAY THE WITCH HUNT DLC THAT I PAID $7 FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! And yes my Witch Hunt DLC is registered in my "Your registered game promotions " page....(sigh)<_<

Hi there I am having trouble with getting the daupdater service working after having reinstalled the game. I have reinstalled the service through the command prompt as mentioned earlier in the post but for some reason the updater isnt appearing in the windows service menu. I've tried doing 'net start' in command promt and I am getting the access denied message but cannot change the properties on the service as it isnt appearing in the service menu.

I am running the game through Steam and also tried a step mentioned earlier re. deleting XML files in My Documents but now the DLC doesnt appear at all in game and I cannot load my saves properly.

Any help on how to get the updater service back would be appreciated

Witch Hunt was patched to version 1.1 on September 20th, 2010 in order to fix some bugs. This updated version contains the following changes:[2]



* When importing from a post-game save, your conversation with Morrigan in the Witch Hunt module will properly reflect the choices you made in Dragon Age Origin's "Dark Ritual" plot.

* The game will automatically save after Witch Hunt's final cutscene.

* Players who were getting 'Unable to Load Area' are now able to play the DLC.
