I have followed through the various solutions in this thread but my issue appears to be that in services the daupdater is pointing to the wrong path, as I had to reinstall after an external hard drive failure and the program files are now on a different directory. I need to change the path services is pointing to in order to correct this issue I assume. I have attempted to uninstall from services using the [process detailed, but it will not action this, as the path no longer exists. I have tried installing the version on the new drive, but again this will not action. I see someone (let loose the juice) had the same issue as I have but they were able to uninstall and reinstall, but I cannot get through uninstalling arghhh it's driving me mad.
I am running Vista and using command prompt in administrator mode, I am typing in the old path to which services is still pointing in order to uninstall, as previously advised
At present my service points to E:\\\\Dragon Age\\\\bin_ship\\\\DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe but needs to be changed to the same path on my D drive - I guess my problem is that E: no longer exist but I'm hoping someone knows a way around this - all help gratefully appreciated
I'm in dragonage withdrawal sobs.............
I have now given into the inevitable and have uninstalled and reinstalled and the program has never worked better - doesn't help identify the solution, but hey I've got my game back with no dlc issues (and at last the witch hunt and lelianas song items are coming through to origins) woohoo

I bought the ultimate version 4 days ago via ea store download. First thing that has happened was the "Awc.dll: The game cannot launch because of a misconfiguration. Please reinstall your game and try again" error. Still waiting for help from support. I am able to log in by opening eacoreserver.exe and immediately after this daorigins.exe though, thanks to some friendly help from another user, but i dont think thats an long term solution. Its an odd way to start a game, at least for me it is, i dont like that. Second problem now is that all the DLCs are marked as unauthorized. I read in this forum "Ensure you have redeemed your DLC code (this is NOT your cd key)" and i think this could be the problem. I only got a cd key by mail and no extra DLC code. Is this even possible or am i just blind? Anyway i hope we will all be able to play this awesome game soon.
Sorry for my bad english, im from the eu.

Hi, I just bought my DA:O Digital Deluxe+Awakening from Steam yesterday and I'm having problems with my DLCs. After the download is complete and it starts extracting files it just says install failed. I can see any one my DLCs in addins too. I can't get awakening to work aswell.
Thanks
I had this problem when I first bought the game and it turned out it was a hard disc space issue - apparently according to EA you need twice the space of the file in order to install it and some of the dlc downloads are big - I would check this first and if not follow through this very helpful thread, trying all the solutions different people have found - worth checking just in case good luck :-)
I would also not allow it to download all your content at once (see options when you start the program to check if this has been selected), as this seems to be an issue when it's trying to download a number of files- kick off each download manually by selecting it in the download progress tab and it seems to work more smoothly. Sometimes if you leave it until all have tried and failed to install selecting each one, as above, from the download process tab and retry - if it fails more than 3 times you will be redirected to a possible solution page, which may help you

I would check what promotional content is shown as available to you - if you choose profile on the left hand menu on this site, then your registered game promotions, it should show you the dlc you have purchased - it might be a coincidence but I have found that if I am on this particular webpage when I attempt to download dlc items it seems to authorise them correctly.
I would also suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the game because EA really do take their time to come back to you and it will be quicker if you have saved the downloaded file when using the file downloader - if you want to save the storyline so far for your character, when you uninstall it gives you the option to leave these files and when you reinstall the storyline will still be available for you to use - sorry I know it's not much help but I also bought my standard DAO game from EA via download and had the same issue. If your content is listed on this site as available and you are registe5red on here with the same email address you log into the dragonage servers with, you shouldn't need to enter a DLC code. Hope some of that helps, if not I would follow through the various solutions in this thread good luck

The EA attendant said he would forward this issue to senior level.... I'm so pissed.

Thank you for trying to help me, thats sweet. There is no promotional content shown at all, i already did look that up. But thats no wonder, because i dont have any promotional key for the dlc´s, i only got a cd key by mail and ofc i get an error message when trying to enter it. And i did reinstall the game many times also, but that didnt help either. I also tried starting the updater manually as suggested here somewhere but that didnt do anything for me. I think ea screwed something up here, there a too many people here with the exact same poblem.
But anyway thank you very much for your help and good luck to you, too

You seem to be experiencing the same problems I'm having. When I bought DA Ultimate Edition digital version via the Geneva EA online store I didn't receive an e-mail with the Redeem Promo Code. After much talking with the chat attendants, and convincing them that the promo code is not the same thing as the registration code (this one I received in the purchase confirmation e-mail), they gave me a promo code. But, as it turned out, most of my DLCs are still unauthorized and do not appear on my "registered game promotions". I'm not certain if all of them are supposed to appear there, but it seems pretty strange to me. Be sure to get all your DLCs available if they give you a promo code. Otherwise, they'll "forward your issue to senior level"....
I'm really, really, really disappointed with Bioware and EA.

Yes, its kind of ridiculous. We bought the ultima edition, got a cd key, registered it on bioware site. So far so good. But we got no extra key for dlc content, ergo profile/myregisteredgamepromotions is empty and ingame its unauthorized. And this forum is full of people who are having or had the exact same issue. I wonder why i didnt read anything about those problems on all the game reviews, maybe i read the wrong ones, i dont know anymore.

I've registered my game
updated it to 1.04
redeemed my code for the dlc
I can't manually install it since it gives me an error
Nothing shows up in game
I also don't have a bioware folder in my documents

thank you for the advice, i am trying to be persistent and i update my reports also. The german ea customer support is of no help at all, i only got the standart copy and paste response which took them almost 5 days to come up with. I cant use live support, it says "After you have made all selections, you will see a pop-up message appear, asking you if you want to Chat with a Customer Support Agent", i dont get any pop-up message, maybe they dont work on weekends, i dont know. I wrote a report to US customer support now. Thanks for your advice and enjoy the game!
