yeah, well apparently not. Apparently this is a wide-spread problem as well. the details are a little different, but overall it seems we are all having problems getting our paid for DLC "authorized".
so now what?
disgruntled.
btw, my wife bought me the UE as a Christmas present, she's not happy about this either.

I bought the Ultimate Edition on Steam and installed it before uninstalling the disk copy and noticed that all my DLC was suddenly unauthorized. I uninstalled the disk version and then none of the DLC showed up up at all in any of the tabs. After a quick Google search I found this thread and had it all sorted out within 10 minutes (3.2.3: the update service was missing). Although access was denied when I tried to install the update service via cmd so I had to hunt down the installutil.exe and copy it to my bin_ship folder.
Thanks again for this awesome thread!

I bought the ultimate edition some time ago, and it played very well on my XP computer. I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 64bit version and i installed the game. But all the DLCs in the Ultimate Edition is not activated on my account (which i have done). In my Bioware account, all DLCs are activated.
In 0.1.19 you prompt me to go to tech support (which i believe is this: http://social.biowar...nfig/support/en)
If so I cannot seem to find the chat option.
Help would be appreciated.

I didn't seem to find any answers to my question on this post, so i looked at this one: http://social.biowar...58/index/759141
I told me to do this:
press "windows key+R" and run services.msc
Then it prompted me to find the service called "Dragon age origins - content updater", rightclick it and press "start".
I did this, opened up the game, and voila, it was there

I read the instructions, found above, many times. However, this was the most helpful part for me, as the DAupdaterservice was never installed and started:
In case you don't have the exact same Framework version, etc... the Framework path won't work. I suggest you perform a normal file search in Windows for the file installutil.exe and note the full path and substitute your own folders to match.
You could also copy installutil.exe in your DragonAge binship folder and simply dragging DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe on installutil.exe. As you can see it's way too hard to list all the possibilities here. It shouldn't be to hard to adapt this to your folders locations for most users.
Now, what I found, is that If you are a windows 7 64bit user, and are trying to install the daupdater service. You must do so using the Microsoft.net install util file found in the "Framework64" folder, and not the "Framework" folder. Also, remember to set the install util file to run in "Administrator" mode (I forgot to do this as I tried it the first time. I had done it for the install util in the "Framework" folder, but not the "Framework64" folder.
I'm not sure why 64bit users have two versions of install util (heck 4 if you count the utilities found in the v. 4.whatever of microsoft.net framework). Just try them all, and in admin mode. Copying them to the binship folder and dragging the updateservice file on to the install util file is the easiest way to do it. You don't have to use the command prompt using this method.
Finally, remember, this will only install the file, not start it. Now you have to do the the whole services.msc rigamarole and start the daupdater service. Use the instructions found in the thread linked above.
I hope this will help.

Win 7 64 bit.
Now own Ultimate Edition through Steam
Ensure all the launchers and the Dragon Age .exe's run as admin in:-
in C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\dragon age ultimate edition\\bin_shipand C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\dragon age ultimate edition
Register Game Code from SteamRegister DLC Code
After following:-.3.3 When in-game, some DLC shows up in Downloaded and Installed with different status (Not installing, stuck at 100%, not authorized, etc...)....3.3.1. Cleaning the Dragon Age Updater data to force the game to redetect and redownload/reinstall all your DLC
1.) Windows XP : Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type cmd and press ENTERWindows Vista & 7 : Run CMD as administrator as per section 3.1.52.) In the command line type net stop DAUpdaterSvc3.) Navigate normally with My Computer to 'My Documents\\BioWare\\DragonAge\\Settings' and delete 'Manifest.xml'
Some people reported that deleting or renaming (as to not lose the files just in case) all the .xml from that folder helped them when only Manifext.xml didn't do the trick.
Backup the following:-C:\\Users\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings
AddIns.xmlManifest.xmlOffers.xml
- I CUT and pasted all the .xml files to a backup folder manually, started the game - found almost everything disabled, including all content and other campaigns.
- Exit Game
- Replaced the newly generated .xml files in
C:\\Users\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings with the ones i backed up previously, and now all the DL content, and campaigns and content is no longer telling me they are unauthorised.

We have a preview application that contains a number of the DA Updater fixes for the upcoming PC Patch.
You can try it out and see if it helps solve your problems in the meanwhile.
If you do, please let me know if it helps.

Also, you'll want to confirm your service starts when you boot the game. A few users have reported they need to manually start their service for some reason.
1. In Windows, Press start
2. Run "services.msc"
3. Find and start "Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater"
4. Restart game
I tried that method already. The one involving the content updater. When I first noted the problem it didn't seem as if my updater had stopped but I did end up restarting it once I decide to start taking a few shots in the dark. Noth has worked so far. I'll try the beta and let you know what arises.

But I am extremely dissatisfied having to spend about 60 minutes of my time getting the game to work AFTER installing it, totally unacceptable. This seems to be the way forward, buggy games FTW!

When I launch the game, it logs in to my EA account automatically, but no DLC is available on the "Available Content" pane. I managed to download and install the Blood Armor and Stone Prisoner DLC manually.
Have anyone else experienced having the updater service running and still being unable to see all the DLC available for the game? I've even checked my firewall settings and made sure that the updater service is allowed through the Windows Firewall.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
So, after a chat with an EA customer support guy, I find out that the "Available Content" pane in the game is not for showcasing all the DLC for the game, but only to let me see what I already own and allow me to download it. I find that kind of wierd, but hey, apparently my game and the updater service is working as intended... Who would have thought?
It seems like the EA customer support guy pushed some buttons, 'cause when he asked me to see if there was new content available in-game, the game suddenly started downloading "The Warden's Keep". Lucky me.

I have purchased Witch Hunt and have it installed on my PC. I tried to find a similar problem on the forum but I failed. Can anyone help me? Maybe it has something to do with my region, I have a hungarian version of the game (sounds in english but texts in hungarian) and as far as I remember the Witchhunt dlc was not in my language (worked fine when installed just the text were english).
