Hey everyone!
So i recently patched my game up till the 1.04 version. Today i bought the dlc for Wardens Keep and Return to Ostagar, but when it is almost downloading it gives me an error that has something to do with the versions. Both of the dlc have an older version. How do I make this work?

On my old computer I played Dragon Age with the Stone Prisoner and Dragon Armor without problems. Now on my new computer I installed the game and in the downloadable contents it says both of the above plus the wardens keep which I bought are enabled, but when I play the game there is no icon for suchet pass or the person needed to start the wardens keep quest.   In the journal under premiium content there is only the warden's keep quest.  I am not very cmputer savy and I don't know why it won't work.  Can anyone help .  Thanks

Installed today dragon age origins ultimate edition. Every dlc is shown as unauthorized. I tried to contact support, I was given a promo code, which unlocked every dlc in my profile. Also, I manually installed updater service, because eadm didn't install it. Still, dlc's are unauthorized. What can I do to make them work? Is there a port which I have to open to make it work?
Tried forwarding port 18081, didn't help.

Wow.
I corrected my daupdate service and now it asked me for authorization. Cool, but I didn't pass it.

Thats is 3rd time I am going to reinstall it. 
I begin to hate all this drm stuff.

Reinstalled it once again. Now everything works.
PS Please, EA/Bioware, dont use such DRM anymore. It troubles legal users more than pirates.

Thats just madness, it tells me that I can't load my save game because dlcs are once again unauthorized.
EDIT Enabled daupdater service manually and everything works fine. Don't know why it disabled itself

I have played DAO on my old rig when it first came out without any issues. I just got the Ultimate bundle (actual in box etc not steam) for my new laptop and after playing up to lv 8 i just noticed my dragon armour chest is missing. One quick check of the map later I also can't see Soldiers peak. If i get the dev console up and use the script zz_gwb_debug i can force myself there and it all seems to work fine but still nothing on the map. If i walk from there the blood splats showing the path start in the middle of nowhere. I have no idea when they vanished and as I cycle through the same 5 saved games over an hour or so I doubt I have an older one where they exist. Any ideas...i mean, will unchecking them in the list of content, saving, restarting and re-enabling work or just make them vanish even more permenantly?

ps forgot to say, on a few occasions I had my DLC listed as unauthorised and had to restart the game to get it to work, probably the updater being very slow looking at this problem now...just an fyi...

PPS seems doing soldiers peak fully after the script teleporting me there now has it showing on the map. Dragon armour though is a no go with anything tried so far...but the commanders gear from soldiers is very tasty so i am no too fussed!

Same issue here. Can't download all my DLC, which means I cannot load my saved game.

Pretty ****ing sad. Might as well just pirate the game instead.

i'm stumped at the 1st part.
i use it through steam if it makes a difference
in game, it will not allow the dev console to come down.
i've even tried altering the key bindings to no avail.
what can i do?

I have had the Digital Deluxe for a couple of months. Last week, I downloaded several bits of DLC to the game:

Blood Dragon Armor
Embri's Belt of Many Pockets
Amulet of the Warmage
Helm of the Deep
Collector's Edition
The Stone Prisoner
Warden's Keep

I most recently added:
Return to Ostagar
Feastday Gifts
Feastday Pranks

This morning, I wanted to finish buying the rest of the DLC and buy and load Awakening so I can continue my new play through. I bought the Ultimate Edition because it had the remaining DLC that I hadn't yet bought and downloaded at a cheaper price than buying them all separately.

So, now I have the Ultimate Edition installed via Steam. However, when I tried to go and get the items downloaded for play, they were shown as unauthorized and would be prompted to log into an account that actually owns the content to have it.

The same account information that I enter into the game's Bioware Account Login shows that I have all of this content redeemed on the Social.Bioware page. The game is not recognizing that I do own the account I''ve been logging in with.

This is extremely frustrating. I want to be able to play this content that I just spent 40 dollars on. Why is the game failing to recognize that I do own the account I'm logging into?

I am not threatening or advocating to pirate anything. I buy all my games, I just feel cheated when people who chose to download the illegal version has less problems with DLC. If anything, it should be the other way around.

If I cannot get my game + DLC to work that I have already paid for, I see no other alternative than to find a version that works. Honestly don't see the big deal, Bioware got my money already.

well, i managed to uninstall the updater using installutil /u, but my attempt at reinstalling it got messed up. This is the error message i get:

An exception occured during the install phase
System.ComponentMode1.Win32Exception: The specified service has been marked for deletion.

After playing about 40 hours most of my ultimate edition dlc are shown unauthorized.Really, really, really annoying.

None of the tips mentioned earlier helped. Going to reinstall this.

Op is a genious. Thank you! I reinstalled Steam and then DAO to a non-program files directory and the silly DLC just wouldn't show up. You saved my bacon! Thanks!

After completely installing the game and registering your game at the BioWare Social website, do the following:


**Completely exit Dragon Age Origins if you have it running**

1) Navigate to your DA:O Ultimate Edition Steam folder, in Windows 7 64-bit it is the following "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\dragon age ultimate edition\\redist". For all other versions of Windows, it will be something similar.

2) Run DAOU_UpdateAddinsXML_Steam.exe. After it completes, go to step 3.

3) Run DAUServiceSetup_Steam.exe. With the window still open, open a command prompt window by pressing Windows Key + R and type "services.msc" (without the quotes).

4) Scroll down and find "Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater". Right click it and go to Properties. Set the Startup Type to Automatic, and click the "Start" button under Service status.

5) Click Apply, then OK. You can now close the Services window and the DAUServiceSetup_Steam.exe window.

6) Open the game and login to your EA account at the bottom left. Your DLC should now be authorized to your account.

I have never been more frustrated and hassled over something as simple as installing DLC. I've been trying out different solutions from the OP's guide but nothing seems to be working. I now understand why people complain and hate DRM so much...

The only thing that worked for me is what it is suggested here:

That is, go to Addins.xml file and replace all entries that read RequiresAuthorization="1" with RequiresAuthorization="0".

Hi I have ultimate edition and I put in the registry code and under content that I have everything is enabled but when I click new game it says that all the content wont appear in the game if I click continue. I have everything installed so why isn't it working? I can't re-enter the registry code cause 1. I already used it and 2. I lost it! Can someone please try to help me with this?
