I thought that too when she said she didn't like getting touched. How can someone who doesn't even like hand shakes have sex? But of course it doesn't seem that way when you ask her to bed for the first time. She had obviously done it before.

Either way, its a bloody game. Who gives a crap anyhow?

And if your man, you must be gay if that thought does not appeal to you...or dead....

Gender identity issues rearing their ugly head I see.

I can see why some men would, and hopefully with maturity (or perhaps therapy) such notions will be take care of.

Sadly there's nothing that can be done about it, the twins thing is hardwired in.

Seriously though, I don't really understand this quest to 'deflower' as many girls as possible.  Most guys that do that are the ones that take off after and cause all sorts of lovely issues for the girls.  Maybe I'm just not a cool enough guy?  I'd rather go on a hunt for contortionists and gymnasts instead of virgins.

Back on topic, Morrigan isn't a virgin and how does it change the game if she was or wasn't?

Maybe I am just used to older men then. Or those with more class. (And too tired atm to obviously be able to write coherently.)

I personally think men like to deflower women because she doesn't have any basis for comparison and he will not be unfavorably compared to some mega talented, mega endowed stud with mega staying power.

That said- is Morrigan one? She doesn't like human touching, but she is shapeshifter.

I got the impression that she doesn't like to be touched when she doesn't want to be touched.

Morrigan is smart and knows how to get what she wants and I would imagine she would enjoy the power seduction.

In any case, we are told very early (I seem to get the conversation in Lothering, between Leli & Morrigan) that her mother told her from a very young age about all the Chasind men she used and then disposed of - and that she would be expected to do the same when she was old enough.

She's clearly old enough (in a medieval-type society, way past old enough) and she has been very well-trained by her mother, so....

Not a virgin.

Edit: I agree about the underwear, though. I don't see the need for it, Mass Effect didn't have it, but if we're going to be controlled by American sales figures and restrictions at least make the underwear of the right 'type'. The shift or chemise suggestion would work wonders, we'd see less of the 'naked' body but it wouldn't be so obviously wrong.

I think Morrigan should turn into a giant spider during sex. Technically she would be nude right?

Considering what female spiders do to their mates during or after mating, it would be rather fitting for Morrigan.

Please.... Please... Please...

tell me you actually wanted to write:

"I personally think SOME POOR SODS OF MISLED SO CALLED MEN, EVER LIVING IN A LONG GONE PAST, like to..."

If you insist to generalize then I have some dozens of exceptions to confirm your "rule".

On topic:
For me it's unclear if Morrigan was anatomically a virgin. However, in regard of her mind she was one.

Is Morrigan a virgin? I always asummed she would be. She claims she has slept with other men. Yeah wishful thinking, perhaps the devs thought she would look silly in an 18+ game. I think it will make much more sense that she is a virgin. With who did she sleep when, how?

I can see it now... Dragon Age 2: The Sexual Adventures of Morrigan.

Leliane is absolutly no virgin. This girl has been around and knows how to handle guys. I think the devs missed a great opportunity in rivalry between these two women. On one side the intelectual superior, but on not so wild terrain innocent woman against the one that knows everything a man wants and won't hesitate to have her kicks.

Two other things. Can we have the women naked when romancing? Morrigan shows more outside the bed than in the bed. I don't ask for porn but for removing the big bra's afterall we do have naked women in the game; I am referring to the spirit of the forest and the desire demons. Or, is naked and romance a big no no?

Look up the Mass Effect problem. It's oversensitive idiots in the media that result in the ability to cut off flesh-eating, demon heads but not see a side nip.

Then, I want some fun for dog. Now Morrigan hasn't slept with many men, I personally think she hasn't slept with anybody, but as a witch of the wilds we can only fantasy what kind of game she has played there. Morrigan doesn't like dog and I like to see their lines rewritten. Alistair, You and dog are very good friends, I see. Morrigan, Oh yes we are. He can be such a ... beast.

I'm crossing my fingers and praying you're not talking about hentai beastiality. The internet can be so messed up sometimes.

I don't know why we're having this discussion, but I can't see Morrigan as a virgin. Her mom would seduce and then kill barbarian men. Morrigan would act as bait to lead templars to their deaths. You really think Morrigan would draw the line at having sex? Hah.

Anyone read "Dirty" by Megan Hart? The heroine had sex but did not like gentle touching or kissing either (although for completely different reasons than Morrigan). Touching... no, it's definitely not required. Hello, goodbye, and that's it. Gripping maybe, but no strokes or other gentle touches. Just think of some prostitutes. Sometimes, I imagine that's how it's like for Alistair and Morrigan.
But either way, I still have to play as a male PC (might happen much later this year because Commander Shepard comes first Image IPB ), so until then, Morrigan's feelings are kind of a mysterium to me and I can judge her only from her conversations with a (good) female PC.

I personally find the whole rating systems completely odd. Apparently having blood splatter over all my characters, slitting a childs throat, tossing knives into back of peoples heads are ok, but showing a pair of womans breasts is taboo... the people who make these rating rules seriously need a head check.

As for the OT, Morrigan is not a virgin, she talks about it slightly in her conversations with you.

It's not so much the physical touch but the meaning behind it. Normal people in Fereldan shake hands when greeting each other or to conclude a bargain. They hug, slap each other on the back, they know when it is impolite to look a person in the eyes and when not to etc...

Morrigan has no clue about all of that, she grew up in the wilds with her mother (who is not big on emotions) for company. To her the fact that you hold your hand out when saying hello is strange and unnerving. The fact that you sometimes greet each other with a hug is stranger and the fact that it can be either one of those is confusing.

If you tease her about the "type" of touching bothering her, she will be amused and say that sexual touching would not bother her because she could determine the intent behind it at least.

Well, some things seem to change never :)

I remember a turnbased strategy game of ~1996 which was developed by a German studio. Perhaps some of you still know, how grafics looked those days: No 3D but 2D-sprites, no zooming, mostly no rendering (just started) and so on.
Most of the sprites were nothing but pixel-heaps, recognizable only by lots of imagination and because the manual said "these are ...".
Well, in this game the so called "ice-witches" were allies of the enemies. Witches are female and the description in the manual said that they refuse to wear anything but a small skirt, in other words: Nothing covered their chest, they were "topless". Now, if I would not have read the manual, I'd never "seen" such a "dirtiness". I just saw some seemingly female (long haired) pixel-heaps riding on boars.
However, even that was too much for the US-rating. The studio had to "cover" the chests with some more pixels and re-write the manual, now describing them as "...refuse to wear more than a leather bra and a small leather skirt"

On the other hand, the US-publisher found, that there was not enough blood and gore in the game, so the studio implemented some more red puddles and stuff, which *could* look like severed limbs, again with lots of imagination. This US-version was banned by German rating-committee, because it was "too brutal".

At least in Germany the rating-committee meanwhile allows some blood and gore, once a game is rated "adult only (18+)". For the USA I guess, nothing changed since 1996, right?

The question if Morrigan is a virgin can only be answered by her creator. If she is technically a virgin isn't important for me. What is important for me is stance of the characters towards sex and romance given their backgrounds and the whole social setting in the game.

Again, I think it is hard to belief there have been many situations, opportunities, for Morrigan to sleep with an inhabitant of Ferelden. This in contrast to Leliana, here it is very easy to assume she had many opportunities to sleep with someone. However when romancing these women the same mechanics are at work, getting approval up by doing the wright thing, giving gifts and sweet talking. In short very different women, same tactic to win their hearts.

How do I see Morrigan? As a woman that has no interest in the emotional aspect of love, doesn't have conscience of it or is even afraid of it. Yet she isn't the person that likes to be afraid of something, her intelect should urge her to explore this. What scares you should also intrigue you. About the physical side of love, sex, this is much easier. Here you are young and endaring, on the road with two young men. This is probably the first time in here live she has company for a longer time and the company of men. She is too rational to not take the opportunity.

Perhaps I am asking too much, it is a game not a roman. Still I love the emotional content, it gives depth to your character and his/her story.

She's a healthy twenty-seven year old women with a great body and an interest in no-strings-attached sex. We know she's interacted with people previously, because she's been to Lothering and talks about her experiences.

Yes, she's had sex.

The thing is, that to me it seems most men want to get seduced first. Or are afraid of women who want to 'have sex like a man' (not all, mind you).

In 1995 and 2005, there was a series of experiments run where an attractive woman went to a single's bar, chatted with a man for fifteen minutes, and then asked him if he'd like to come to her place for sex.

85% said 'yes.'

I have to figure if a similar study was done for women the rate would be much lower, I don't really think its that men are afriad of seducing women (or wanting to be seduced first) it just a case that even if a woman finds you attractive right away there is the bigger chance of blowing any future chance you might have with her, weather you wanted a relationship or not by acting too quickly. So its just better if you make the first move if a guy is obviously interested in you.

That's all just a legend ya know? What do you think a gymnast will do? The smae thing as any other girl, that's what. You're just setting yourself up for dissapointment.

That said, there is a certain appeal virgins have...altouhg I won't go into that here.
