The last 2 episodes were good but I going to wait until the last episode to rate them.

I do have a question though, since Kirito set the pain thing to 0 is Sugou dead?

That's what I thought too. I guess? Unless Sugou lied.

Well Sugou said anything lower than three would affect the physical body, so yes... I'm assuming he is dead?

Ehh if it goes like the Manga then its not the last we'll see of him. Though the last we see of him will be well worth seeing and ends things on a fantastic note.

Anyways

There could indeed be more episodes. There's two story arcs that the light novels (of which SAO's anime is based off of) have which take place after ALO, with one of them ongoing. The material for a second season is definitely there.

This.

*spoilers*

I couldn't have asked for a sweeter reunion between Kirito and Asuna, I'm really happy! Pretty sure there were tears streaming down my face from the moment the ep started, tbh. Wasn't expecting the suspencful stuff with Sugou either but wow. Wowowow. I really enjoyed the first half of the episode, it was pretty perfect.
Oh seeing everyone else at the bar (Klein!! :D) was awesome.

I kind of felt like the second half of the ep kind of just pandered toward the LeafaxKirito fans, but it was still kinda sweet - especially considering how much they'd been through together.

Also, dat blue hair Asuna <3

I agree. I wanted 22 minutes of Kirito and Asuna dammit D:<

The stuff with leafa was sweet I guess, but idk, if I were Kirito I'd never let Asuna out of my site again.

Daww theyre ganna waste another 2 years of their life on an MMO...TOGETHER! ;_;

Overall it was one of the better animes to come out recently. Though the story got progressively slower after the SAO arc. Im still somewhat satisfied with the ending. It doesnt say anything about how the SAO survivors are coping with real life and their fate is more or less left ambiguous, (are Kirito and Asuna married in RL now or is Kirito in a relationship with his sister like the ending heavily suggested?) the ending is a complete package and a sequel would just ruin it. I dont see the anime going anywhere else except "lololol lets kill heathcliff again". There isnt any of that conflict that made the anime worth watching in the first place, so the anime is over and Im glad it ended on a highnote. :)

I just watched the final episode and it was good.

Overall SAO was a great show that got me back into anime, but the ALO arc dragged it down a bit.

Sugou was a terrible character and the weakest point in the story.
Suguha was a good character, but she still come off as a "second girl" to me and that hurts her character IMO.

I hope they make another season that focuses on some of the other characters like Klein, because I would like to know more about them before they add anymore characters to the story.

Also I like that they gave the Sandwich from the picture above a scene in the final episode.

I think the my least favorite thing about the ALO arc was how useless Asuna was the whole time. I wanted to see her kicking more ass before the end.

I didn't feel like Sugou was a terrible character though tbh. I mean the over-all hopeless-feel and urgency of Aincrad was amazingly diabolical and I agree that the same sense of urgency which unfortunately did not transfer over to Alfheim. For me though, I felt the desire to see Sugou dealt with was much more personal. I hated Sugou. I hated him so much for what he did and wanted to do to Asuna.

Kayaba, as weird as it is - you can kind of understand his reasoning. Nobody likes to watch someone else play an RPG, he simply got carried away with an idea. It doesn't make it right, and he killed a lot of people but Sugou.... there's just something so demented about him. Something just made you sick in the stomache and cheer relentlessly for Kirito to save the love of his life and make him pay. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I wouldn't consider him a weaker character - just different.

I gotta say though, it was awfully satisying to see Sugou completely lose his sh*t while losing to Kazuto in both worlds.

Yeah I kind of felt the same way tbh, some of her moments seemed a little out of character.

She was really strong willed in Aincrad, even if it was out of neccessity. I guess though she didn't really have much of a choice, as brave as she can be she was probably scared too (quite a traumatic experience) - I assume her avatar would be set to the lowest level possible and have other such restrictions, but even something as simple as raising a fist to, or objecting to Sugou would have been nice. Just something to show she was still the Vice Commander she had become.

Then again, perhaps she was just biding her time, knowing any sort of trouble would just make things worse for herself and she probably didn't want to bring give Sugou any more reasons to turn his attention on her.

Also... THIS:

what i dont get is, why do they all go back to playing MMOs? Trapped in an MMO Hunger games for 2 years would be a GREAT anti-MMO PSA imho.  Yet they ALL go back at the end of the show.

True, but Kazuto had suffered through too much to end up in prison for murdering the creep. At the point that Kazuto had the knife to Suguo's throat, if he had killed him it wouldn't have stood up to any legal definition of self defense. Better to let him live so he can be with Asuna aside from the occasional visit.  Sure, he didn't deserve to live, but they were in the real world again and that wasn't his call.
