Yeah, they've got 3 major story arcs to catch up on. :s Regardless though this is one of the better high notes to end the anime on. Though I'm still itching for more.

The only question I have in that reguards is.

Dear Japan, how much are you being payed in bribes to keep that tech operational? I mean between the thousands of deaths, people having there minds held hostage, gun running, a screwed up event with a crazy pedo, murders, just all that crap. I mean there must be some sweet bribes.

The gang's all there. Except Agil apparently. The Cait Sith girl on the left is Sinon, the deuteragonist/sidekick of the third major arc where Kazuto dives into an American VRMMORPG called Gun Gale Online in order to investigate and track down criminals who have found a way to kill players for real in the game world. The 4th major arc is set back in ALO though I don't know much about it, while the 5th arc is ongoing, and seems to be the biggest yet.

I wonder if they'll ever travel to a VRMMOFPS like a vr version of Planetside 2? That would be cool, although I doubt it. Japanese people tend to hate FPS games.

If Underworld is still ongoing, I don't see any reason why there couldn't be more VRMMORPGs past that.

Kirito logic: Spend 2 years trapped in an MMO that kills you in RL - give away its code so anybody with a computer can copy and create a game like it.

I thought that people could only get trapped in the game because of a defect in the first gen hardware?  Supposedly, the newer models should be perfectly safe.  Plenty of better examples of Kirito logic like "Don't let your friends sacrifice their video game avatars to stop your wife from being molested!"

how much older is asuna to kirito anyways? i know asuna was 16-17 by the time they married and asuna flat out said she was older. maybe 18-19 by the time ALO came out?

thats such an early age to get married..then again if i had 4,000,000,000 moneyz id buy a beachside house and marry my bestfriend too.

I'm pretty sure Kirito was 16 at the end of the season.  At the end of the SAO arc, he said he had turned 16 the previous month and Asuna said she was 17, and I'm pretty sure that the ALO arc concluded less than 6 weeks later.  It started a month after Kirito escaped from SAO, and on the first episode of the ALO arc, Sugou said that he was going to marry Asuna in a week, and I'm pretty sure Kirito defeated him before that.  Asuna may have turned 18 before the end, but idk.

Asuna is old enough to marry IRL (according to Japan), but Kirito's still got a year to go, if I remember correctly.

And the ALO stuff only lasted about two or three days, so yeah, Sugou was defeated long before he intended to marry Asuna. Well, not "LONG" before, but you get what I'm saying.

Huh, well if the law there is anything like it is here, he can probably marry her anyway with his parents' permission.

they totes shoulda ended the season wit a legit wedding. These two pretty much were a married couple for 2 years and were raising a child! How can that not mean something once they got back to RL?

Who knows, maybe they'll save it for another season. Anyway, this series was really good, probably like the 6th best anime I ever saw.

I don't think they would have done something like that as it doesn't really follow the light novels SAO is based on. Plus this way it leaves the possibility open for a second season, not to mention there would be no way to cram a wedding in those 25-30 minutes without sacrificing a vital scene or two. But seriously, I really do hope a second season gets announced. It should, it's one of the more popular animes out of Japan this year I think.

I suspect they'll do a 2nd run. And Likely a wedding at some point for sure >> or else, wut I like happy endings >>. I mean they arn't out of school yet technically, and you can tell they care deeply for each other. I doubt either will move on to someone else, not after two years, and his risking his life for her twice. Consider it more of...like a love you see among older people. Its solid and there. They may also have family issues to deal with.

But speaking of the show and other matters, its funny to see how many of them actully hooked up, became great friends and the like..well then again not really, life and death bonds tend to last a long time. One thing I doubt I'ld ever do if I was trapped in one of those MMO's for two years with a chance of dying is ever playing one again. Then again I might would play again given I can't die this time lulz. But yet another item I'ld care to bring up is the PKers.

Now I know at a point an group was made up to wipe out a PK guild, which I'm sure would count as self defense in a court of law, but, what of any left over PKers themselves? Given the Data Retrived and knowing what was going on, I wonder how many if many of them were brought up on murder charges, his name escapes me atm, but for example that guy that killed his wife for the loot and was placed into holding by other players.

Would he be up on murder charges in the real world? Or would it be all water under the bridge. I mean you are dealing with a closed society with life and death issues, that litterally inspite of being electronic resulted in the deaths of thousands. And a number of those were at the hands of ones fellow man. It also makes me wonder who paid to keep those guys hooked up for two years.

Popular in Japan?  Yeah that's one way you could put it.  According to Kotaku, in Japan they're making live action porn of it, that's how popular it is! Lmao, and some bronies think that "Lesson Zero" was too fanservicey XD.

Hm? What data retrieved?  I thought that Kayaba wiped everything out... I'm thinking that the only way they could convict anyone for crimes commited in SAO would be with eye witness testimony, and after what Rosalia said, I think the red players may even have plausible deniablility. She said there was no way to prove that people killed in SAO died IRL, and if the other red player were ever charged with anything their lawyers would likely tell them to say the same thing.

Nah, some of the players compiled various things, remember thats how Kazuto got the information on where Asuna was. He handed over what information he had. While it might not be the full data I'm sure some of the players "spilled the beans" on what happend. More so if you had a hand in killing there friends.

"Excuse me, would you mind if I borrow your Chemistry notes? I missed yesterday's lecture."

"Yeah, sure thing man just let me... hey wait, aren't you that red player who murdered my friend's wife about a year ago?"

"Uh, no, that was that other red player."

"Sorry, my mistake."
