I don't think it'll be too long before we'll see a dub if its popularity overseas continues to climb. It'll be weird though. I'll be too used to the JP VAs.

Apparently the game is a what if scenario where Kirito turned down the challenge from Heathcliff and they had to scale the last 25 floors.

tbh, when I watch an anime subbed I can't stand to watch it dubbed. The English VA's never get the same emotions as the Japanese ones because the languages emote differently. And when I hear the mismatch in certain scenes I sometimes wanna gag. But if I watched the dubs first I sometimes (like 1/5) prefer them.

Okay, so in this show, does the guy who made this game ever get charges sent against him? or an angry mob of families coming after them with pitchforks and torches?

Cause if it's like, he never gets any sort of consequences for, you know, basically holding everyone whose playing this game hostage, I would call bs on the whole show.

Like, that happened to my brother or my friend, the first thing I'd do is march on the company who made this and demand ****ing blood for this, even if I didn't know it was intentionally I'd still do it.

I'm 99% sure that he is dead. I can't look it up on the wiki because I don't want to spoil myself for any future plot points.

According to the show he was nowhere to be found. It's possible he killed himself or something after the end of the first season.

It'll probably get elaborated on at a much later point in the show.

Interesting, with the excellent premise, great atheistic and animation, and knowing there's a level of reasonable probability being applied to aspects that some shows and books don't really use it for, I'm gonna have to check it out when I'm not getting mobbed by my homework and exams.

Just saw it. Yui, the cuteness... Lol, Suguha was a door away from the truth. Hopefully they won't drag that whole thing out too bad. And Arch I agree, though thankfully it's one sided. Once she realises who Kirito is she'll stop. Or at least she should.

I hear that only 24 episodes are planned. I hope it becomes popular enough to change their minds, the potential next season sounds like it could be interesting.

I just finished watching episode 18 and it was a good set up episode.

I'm glad Asuna got the code, my opinion on the evil king guy is still the same, and Suguha has been confirmed as the fanservice character.

However this episode make me think that the evil king guy (I can not think of his name) has people working for him in each race, and those people stop the players from completing the world tree quest.
I think that guy who tried to stop Suguha from leaving is one of the evil king guy's people.

I don't hate Suguha, I really like how they are developing her character.
However she is the second girl and even though SAO isn't a harem anime we all know what type character she could end up being.
I think she will be the best friend/true friend of both Asuna & Kirito.

But I can see why some people may hate her.
While Kirito did talk about her in the first game she still come out of nowhere and take a main character slot, and while IMO her story is being handled well it's still a second girl story which is out of place in a story where we already know the main pairing.

Suguha will have two big scenes in this story 1. when she meets Asuna for the first time, and 2. when she finds out that "Kirito" is Kirito.

Those two scenes will determine If most people like her or hate her.

Episode 19 was a good set up episode, but since nothing has really happened in the past 2 episodes I'm hoping Asuna will escape the cage in the next episode.

We need more Asuna to make this season/half complete. I was like "ah ya boi!" when she figured out the cage code though.

Episode 20 was great.

Both the return of dual wield Kirito and Asuna escapes from the cage were the highlight of this episode.

There was still alot of stuff set up, but it seems like the next episode will explain most of it, so I'll be looking forward to seeing if all this set up was worth it.

I really like that Asuna was able to escape the cage. I hope she'll have an active part in beating the villains face into the dirt. Aww, I'm looking forward to her reunion with Kirito.

I wonder if/when the other supporting characters will show up again. Hopefully soon. In the meantime, here's a pretty picture. No idea who made it.

So I've been feeling a little disappointed with Kirito lately. Maybe this is just my OTP feels getting in the way but I wish he would talk more about Asuna. They went through so much together, and it was my understanding he loved her more than anything in the world. It would be nice to hear him wondering if she's ok, or even exclaiming in traditional-anime-shouting-style that he's coming to rescue her and not to give up. Yet he doesn't mention her ever, only as 'someone he has to see'.

It's just. ugh. IDEK but it's been bothering me :/
