I think it's more that he is trying to get to the tree a soon as possible, and so he's trying not to do anything that could mess that up.

Even just a scene with him by himself and thinking about her, or talking to Yui about her - at least it would be something. To kind of show that he's still thinking of her or worrying about her. Just some kind of recognition of their relationship/bond.

But yeah, you're probably right.

Well y'know Kirito tbh. He's not one to mope to everyone about what he's feeling. He obviously wouldn't be there in the first place if he didn't care about Asuna.

And what would Leafa gain if Kirito told her about Asuna? They just met one another. He doesn't have a reason to spill his guts and intentions to her. She's taking him to the tree. I mean, I wouldn't run around telling everyone my wife for two years was stuck up there. It's not public information.

This I can't argue. I want a scene like that. Especially one with Yui and Kirito talking about her, that would be really nice.

Logan has a point there. He's even risking cheating with his SAO parameters to get to her. If a GM caught him, he'd never get back in ALO.

I could stand to see a scene with Yui and Kirito. Honestly though, I forgot it's only been like a day or two. He's not had much time to himself.

I think Kirito can dual wield whenever he wants since he knows how to dual wield outside of the game, he just won't get any special move since dual wielding isn't a skill in ALFheim Online.

I think the reason Kirito hasn't talked about Asuna is due to the fact that he hasn't known anyone in this game for more then a day. IMO it would weird if he just started talking about her to anyone since 1. He's not 100% sure she's in ALO and 2. He don't want anyone to know that he's that "Kirito" from SOA.

My main problem with Kirito right now is that for someone with a one week time limit a few of his actions seem weird to me, like if he had all that money why does he have low level weapons and armor?
However the pacing of the show has slowed down alot when compared to the SOA story I mean the past three episodes take place in the same day which is kind of weird for this show where they would skip weeks and months at a time.

But I hope next week Kirito and Asuna will meet up and then deal with the evil king guy (I still can't remember his name)

Actually the show ends on the 24th episode, so if anything they'll be doing that then.

I always figured he hid his money amount from others until recently since a new player with a ton of high level gear would raise alarms.

Also, you gotta remember that Kirito was wearing the same coat for the majority of SAO. I imagine he's a player that takes style just as seriously as functionality. I mean, he DID pick the Spriggan just because he was wearing black. He didn't even know what kind of specialties he'd have.

I really hope so too. Only 4 episodes left...

There's apparently at least 3 more arcs after ALO in the light novels. One based in GGO, another in ALO again and the most recent set in a VRMMORPG called Underworld.

I wonder how this will affect Asuna's screen time (I hope they don't cut her out, she's my favourite D:) and the relationship between Asuna-Yui-Kirito....

Well just think of how popular SAO got in such a short time. Not just here on BSN, but it really got known when it was released. And the quality is superb. I mean, if they can make more money by continuing the series, why shouldn't they?

I'd really rather not get my hopes up, but it's not completely ridiculous to think SAO could keep going past the originally intended 24 episodes.

Especially since they have material to work with. Most people try to revive a series that doesn't have anywhere else to go, but SAO's still got a ton of books to cover. They could really keep this going for quite some time if they could be convinced to. Didn't you say they were thinking about continuing?

Wait, what? I never knew they were stopping at 24 episodes?
That doesn't really make sense to me, especially (as you said) with all the material they have to work with.

Anime Fave and other places that do so only have the episode list go up to 24. So yeah, they have 4 episodes to finish (hopefully just) the arc.

Does that necessarily mean that's where the creators are stopping? I thought you'd found an article or something stating it would only go to 24. I mean, maybe they only go to 24 for some other reason?

Oh, and by the way, I've been working on a storyboard most of the day for that SAO comic. I've got the main character, Griffith, and I just brought in Noel. Pre-Mirror anyway. I'll be sure to put a link in our PM, and up here as soon as I get a decent final-draft.

Aw that's unfortunate, hopefully it will be a satisfying ending if they do wrap it up. I would hate for it to feel rushed!

So what do you guys think about Asuna's role in the Alfheim arc of the series? Do you kind of feel like having Asuna as a 'damsel in distress' kind of takes away from the epic "Asuna the Flash" from the original SAO?

We got awfully close to hentai territory for a second there.

Other than that though, I'm seriously waiting for Asuna to get out of that cage for good. Probably in the next episode.
This wouldn't be so frustrating if all the episodes were already out. Having to wait a week for each new episode is really making it hard to see Asuna getting thrown back in the cage.

Aaaaanyway, it was a good episode. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but still worth my time. I'm just waiting to see Asuna and Kirito together again.

I will now eagerly await everyone's complaining. :I
