Why don't Batarians get credit towards the Headshot Medals whenever they kill a target with a heavy melee?

Just instead of a shaved metal bullet you are using bone. Covered in muscle, tendon, skin, armor and an omni-blade. And instead of a series of timed electro magnets to propell said bullet to high speeds you are relying on older "explosive" propellant sources.
