Mordin's death hit me very, very hard. I had to pause and walk away to blubber in another room.
Legion's death, too, made me cry...once I realized WTF had just happened. They could have made his sacrifice a little less abrupt, no?

I didn't cry at Garrus's (romance-specific) farewell because I honestly expected a happy ending...ahh, the pleasures to be found in ignorance! In hindsight that'd probably be crying point #3.

Yes actually. But booze always makes me melancholy.

Nothing in this game is even close to sad so I doubt it was going for that.
The only sad thing I found in the entire trilogy was the Asari on Ilium who lost her family, such an emotional scene.

Nothing comes close to how sad that is.

When I first reached the ending (pre-EC), Liaras final scene on earth. She said goodbye... I thought at least one of those two would have to die.

I am glad that didn't happen.

Lots of sad things for me - as well as those listed here, there were some of the conversations I eavesdropped on. The Asari in the hospital who may have got Joker's sister killed. In my first playthrough I authorised her a gun, thinking that she was going to go off and kill husks with it. Nope :(

The teenage girl in the Refugee area worried for her family :(

The elderly lady with dementia who wanted to know where her son was :(

Finding the body of the Krogan poet and having to tell his wife :((((((((

ME3 was a very draining game, as JadeBaby said. I keep wanting to replay, but then remembering the sad bits always makes me stop after Mars!x

I cried just from seeing what it was. Does that answer your question?

Didn't actually cry, but choked up at times, yes:

- Benezia calling Liara "little wing" when she dies
- The ME1 epilogue if you're paragon and save the council
- End of Project Overlord
- Mordin's death

It's odd, but it seems to be a trend to be able to cry over sad movies/games/books, etc., especially for males. As if we're placing more value on showing off our emotional depth than pretending to be a macho cliché type. It's interesting how cultural perception changes :-) at the same time, I find it weird when people pretend they're sort of embarrassed over crying about [insert movie] while not being able to hide a hint of "pride" (not the perfect word for it, but something along those lines). This is something I've mainly noticed on a different forum, though, so it's not aimed at anyone here :-P

But yeah, ME3 is an emotional game and several moments had me 'feeling it'. BioWare did a good job in constructing those moments without overdoing it in my opinion.

The kid dying was really emotional for me. It symbolized the people that Shepard couldn't save, and it set the tone, well for the rest of the game.
I thought the emotionally draining part of the game, for me, was sabotaging the Genophage cure.
Shooting Mordin.
Betraying Wrex.
Betraying Eve.
Betraying the Krogan.
I felt incredibly guilty after that. To get the Krogan's hopes up like that, just to betray them at the last moment, was very harsh. I had just compltely doomed the Krogan. I murdered the only Salarian willing to help them. I ended up killing a fantastic leader for the Krogan. My actions reslted in the death of the last female Krogan that was able to give birth to live babies.
This was the most guilty I have ever felt in a video game.
Well played Bioware. Amazing work.

Never cried...but there were definitely a lot of powerful scenes where I was emotional.

Leaving Earth while people were being killed.

Mordin sacrificing himself to cure the genophage.

Grunt "sacrificing" himself so you can escape. (glad that he did survive)

Thanes death...not so much his death (since I knew it was coming from ME2...though I definitely wanted to kick Kai Lengs ass after that fight)..but after reading the prayer when his son said it was for you.

Legion's death.

Thessia falling...and Liara breaking down on the Normandy.

Miranda's death.

The ending.

Here's another one.

It's sad because Shepard never gets to see their LI again.

My Shepard promised Liara that they would come back.

BIOWARE MADE YOU SHEPARD A LIAR! HOW DOES IT FEEL BRUH?!

Well, they made everyone's Shepard a liar on that front, unless you're a forever alone Shepard. In that case, kudos to you.

Never cried by watching any emotional scene in a video game. Legion's death made me angry and relieved though. John Marstons ending in RDR made me really angry and choked me a little. Just had to go killing people to soothe the anger.

Starscreams death from TFers Armada made me cry, but that's a TV show and I was young.

You know you can get a payback for John Marstons death right? (by killing the cop who killed him)

All the times I've cried/had tears throughout the trilogy:

-A little bit at Saren's death (not sure why).
-Tears of joy at the end of ME1.
-Lair of the Shadow Broker.
-Project Overlord.
-Erinya's stroy.
-Tears of joy at the end of ME2.
-Somewhat during Thane's loyalty mission.
-Leaving Earth
-Seeing David Archer again.
-Some of the Romance scenes.
-Grunt's last stand.
-Thane's death (I started sobbing when you learn that he was praying for Shepard)
-Tears of Joy during Mordin's death (I was happy for him).
-And of course, the ending.

ME made me cry quite a lot.

I completely agree with that. That's my main reason i hate the endings.
And the song you linked.. OMG please don't. i have never cried about Mass Effect. But that song will make me cry.. I miss Liara..

That scene still makes me cry and salute Starscream for his sacrifice. For those who want to watch:

As for ME3, the times I actually shed tears were:
Mordin's death
Legion's death
Grunt's "death"
Wrex's death (had to Youtube this one)
There were several moments that gave me goosebumps, in a good way, and made my eyes water too.

I've only teared up 3 times in a video game.

-Garrus telling Joker they had to leave Shepard behind in the EC. I felt close at other times in the series, like others have mentioned, but never actually did.
-Ultimate sacrifice eulogy in DA:O, when it focused on Leliana and Alistair said "some of us even loved him"
-The last scene in Metal Gear Solid 3 between Snake and the Boss, where it forces the player to pull the trigger, and you find out a few minutes later during the ending just how tragic the Boss' mission really was.

The end of ME1 had me in tears of happiness
Mordin/Thane death scenes
Curing the genophage...(kinda ties in with Mordins death)
Legions thank you and ultimately his death
My goodbye to Liara in the EC

I never actually 'cried' but I definitely felt like it after these moments:

-The Asari you meet during Shiala's mission in ME2
-Thane's death
-Legion's death (even if it was contrived)
-Final goodbyes (Garrus, Liara and Tali's especially)
-Just listening to the EC version of 'An End Once And For All'
-Nearly all of the Citadel side stories made me depressed :(

I didn't get them in my game, but the only deaths that would've made me cry are Tali and Mordin's if you betray them, God those were dark.

I didn't find Wrex and Legion's deaths that sad if you betray them though, probably because they were in self-defense.
