Mordin; I got him to sing in ME2, and loved it. When he went to the top of the Shroud to cure the genophage, and he was singing it again.... The shroud exploded before he finished his song, and I realised that I sang the song, I finished it for him, out loud, while tears ran down my cheeks. I know men that cried when he died. As a chick, he was endearing, not because he was a possibly romance, because he wasn't, but because his character was so well done.

Thane; The only Renegade interrupt I EVER used was to wreck Kai Leng's sh*t. "That was for Thane, you son of a b8tch." Very satisfying, but the prayers for his death were agonising.

I cried when Legion sacrificed himself to give all Geth self-awareness and make them a true intelligence. I don't know how a damned machine, robot, AI got to me so much, but I really came to love Legion and I cried, angry and sad when he "died". (Or was rendered non-functional, as EDI said)

Saying goodbye before the assault in London. Kaidan (I am a Kaidan fangirl, so sob sob here) and Garrus. That blasted Turian is one of my favourite characters, and seeing him, and the Primarch there, really got to me.

Anderson. *Sighs* Oh, gods, why could I not have a high enough paragon score to save you? EVER?

I cried for Tarquin Victus, for his noble sacrifice to make right a mistake that destroyed the Ninth Platoon.

Watching Tali claim her property on Rannoch, and the moment when Legion asks, "Do you know what the question was, Creator Zorah?" ... "I know the question, and the answer is yes." ... Legion: "Keelah sel'ai."

Reading the email that Kal'Reeger died on Palavan helping the Turian forces. As small a part as he played, I was still sad.

The heartache Eve endured was sad, maybe because I am a woman, but more because she was so tough. I still want to know what the crystal was that she gave Shep, if it has more significance.

Leaving Earth and Anderson behind. Sucked. The music didn't help.

One thing: Kelly Chambers? I saved the entire Normandy crew in ME2, because I hauled butt to get there, and she was alive, but she is in ME3?

Goodbyes, especially to Tali.

I had quite a lump in my throat for Thane's deathbed scene even though I was never that interested in his character.

If you had dinner with her (requirement if you wanted her to feed your fish) in 2 then she makes an appearance in 3. She can die in 3 depending on how you treat her. She's in the refugee camp, in the hospital part I believe.

Can I have dinner with her in 2 and NOT have her try to romance me?

Zaeed's death in ME3 really choked me up, mainly because I DID NOT SEE IT COMING.

I'M SO SORRY ZAEED

I THOUGHT I HAD ENOUGH PARAGON TO GET YOUR LOYALTY

I'M SO SORRY

Unfortunately you have to be flirty to have dinner with her. But as long as you don't invite her up to your room after the collector base you're not in a romance with her.

So I can be a bit flirty, stay faithful to Kaidan (or Garrus) and get to see her in the third game? Bad*ss. Thanks for the info.

No problem. You're not the only one to have had trouble with this.

I cry during a lot of emotional scenes in most everything. Not so much in my day-to-day life though. That's just painfully dreadful.

... No. However, I can understand crying over the kid's death if you've ever witnessed your own child being destroyed by a laser beam while trying to escape on a flying shuttle.

Crying over a video game? Sure, if it's as well written as this. How is it different then crying at a sad movie?

This.

People find all kinds of culture emotionally evocative. Books, movies, theatre to name but a few.

Games are admittedly in their infancy when it comes to being a storytelling medium. But it doesn't make them any less valid, or effective.

Kid's death

You actually cried over the death of some random annoyingly-voiced kid who you'd only met minutes previously and didn't know anything about?

Actually Shepard was supposed to cry during the game.

FemShep was supposed to "cry" during Thane's death scene, but we all know how that turned out.

Here's a bit from the leaked script.

Thane:The moment will be soon. [Coughing fit.] I shouldn't have run. You did not even need me.
Shepard: You fought for something noble, Thane. As last moments go, it's not a bad one.
Thane:No... there is one I would prefer.[Thane memory flashback.] Fist slams the table. Shame at my cowardice, my fear. Atonement means nothing. Her hand touches mine. Her lips part and I tremble. "Thane, be alive with me tonight."
[His body relaxes. Shepard wipes her eyes. Maybe we see a tear, maybe we don't. The music tells us all we need to know.]
Shepard: Goodbye, Thane. Meet you across the sea.

I have never seen that before but now I cry for what was lost:crying:

I cried on Tuchanka when I betrayed the Krogan  I knew it was the right thing to do but it felt so horribly wrong, I never even knew or comprehended that doing the right thing COULD feel so awful.

I cried when I sided with the Geth and my paragon points were too low to get peace and Tali killed herself I was stunned and quiet and then- I was like Kenny in  that episode of South park where Cartman eats all the skin off the KFC.

Then the end came and I cried in rage.  But I knew all about rage tears I've done that before.=]

Was two steps shy of crying with Tarquin sacrifice.

Teared up with Grunt.

Opened the floodgates with Mordin and Thane.

Teared up with Legion.

"Cut" dialogue

yeah, this cut dialogue between shep and anderson would have made me cry had they included it.  makes the scene 100% more emotional.  too bad they cut it.
