So, any word on LI's in this game? What are they going to be like? Are we going to get something besides humans and the occasional elf? Are we going to get some interesting personalities? Hopefully not too overly psycho.

Oh, and are they going to bi? At least most of them. I most certainly hope so.

Thank you so much for allowing same sex love for all in DA2. Please do the same thing in the next game.

Though... it's quite ironic, really, that gay sex wasn't allowed in Mass Effect (until the last one anyway), which is set in the future, but it's allowed in DA, which is kind of like medieval times. Sort of. Hmm...

Free love is the best

Um, we don't even know any of the CHARACTERS, much less if they are romancable.

On that note, please, of all things, do not let something as ridiculous as the media influence how you deisgn your games. I heard you cut homosexual love out of ME because some ignorant American newspeople didn't like it. Bah.

I don't live in the United States, so American media is the last thing on this planet I personally could ever be bothered to pay any attention to. Sticks and stones. Their opinions are worthless and meaningless, don't waste your time listening to them.

Yes, because America is the only country to ever have homophobes or homophobic media. Not like countries like Singapore which outright banned the game because of same-sex content. America's media is clealy the only country with biased media. Clearly.

That's not what I meant, I only mention it because they specifically were the ones who I heard criticized ME and Bioware.

Didn't know about Singapore either, but I wouldn't be too concerned about them... I think they're a pretty small and insignificant part of the market.

No, they were not. Again, Singapore banned the games because of the content. And good job thinking all America media outlets are biased just because of Fox News which barely made a stink (and they were the ONLY media outlet that did, mind you).  Where are these other news sites that are objecting to the content?

I did not say all media outlets are biased. And Singapore is a small and remote place that wouldn't generate much sales regardless.

Oh, and all LIs in DAII were not bi.  You're forgetting Sebastian.

No. I really don't pay any attention to news or media at all, even where I live. All of them are biased, and project too much of their own opinions, rather than just stating the plain fact. Therefore, most of what they all say is equally of no value to me.

And Sebastian doesn't count as he is not a full fledged LI.

The game was announced like a month ago.  We don't know about the LIs until about a month from release date.  So come back in a year or so.

What makes Sebastian not a full-fledged LI, then? Because he's DLC?

Yes he is...what makes you say he's not?

He never sleeps with the protagonist and 'romancing' him does not grant the achievement.

That's your idea of a love interest...?

You don't get the achievement for sleeping with any of the LIs in DA2. You have to go beyond sex and actually form a lasting relationship to get the achievement.

I know. But I thought that being with Seb doesn't give any achievement at the end of the game.

I heard in DA 3 you get to LI the dialogue wheel itself. Mostly since it is entirely free from chains of genders. Thusly it is even more Bi than anything you saw in DA2! Since Dialogue Wheel lacks gender and genitals, the mandatory complimentary sex scene allows you to see  - everything - for once. During sex scene, you must be able to rotate the wheel at least 76 degrees in order to earn the achi.

FoxTV will publish an editorial column Man and a Wheel - Things that should not be.

I find it odd there isn't a "H/DW Romance " thread yet?

Although I definitely think that m/m f/f romance options should be included in the game, I wasn't a huge fan of making EVERY (minus Sebastian) love interest bi. It seemed very unrealistic and strange to me. I much preferred ME3's approach in which you had some bi characters, some strictly gay characters, and some strait characters. It felt more organic and less like the writers threw it in there just to appease people.

I can't say one way or the other that romancing Sebastian to the end of DA2 grants the achievement. I don't know. Someone else will have to answer that question.

From what little I know about the relationship, I suspect it's because Sebastian separates from Hawke after DA2. His dialogue in this scene certainly seems to suggest it.

and you've gone off topic before its even started wow that must be a new record wow. so stay on topic which is the li's right? so the thing is we do not know anything as yet Mr.gaider has said the in an ideal world he'd have some li's be straight some be bi and others be gay but if he can not have that then they'll just be pc sexual  now I suggest we keep this on topic and hate free or the mods will come and lock it down

Hm, you're right... that's probably a lot better idea. Just as long as strictly gay characters aren't excessively stereotypical, or otherwise botched, and are likeable as both love interests AND friends/rivals, I'll certainly approve.

I think this topic should be closed before it gets bogged down in more pointless debate over sexuality. There's no information with which to speculate; you might as well discuss whether all the LIs will be manatees or gorillas.

Personally, I'm hoping the female LIs are jellyfish while the male LIs are dolphins.

and hopefully if they do do (ha ha do do) it that way it doesn't feel like they're just being tack on. let's they'll atchley be relevant to the plot. The Dragon Age team is the best and I trust in them comply. I am hoping for the "PC sexuas" toght but i'm sure that what ever we get will be awesome and will tought out

@thats1evildude. I'd be cool with that if the females were dolphins and the males were jellyfish :)

If Cass and Cullen are indeed party members, I suspect at least them 2 are LIs.
