I'd be OK with high EMS Destroy, if not exactly happy that Edi and the Geth had to bite the bullet.

I'd still prefer for Bioware to use IT though.

But IT is not even a real thing.

Personally I don't know if Bioware planned the IT, or if they genuinely thought that those wretched original endings were adequate.

It doesn't really matter to me. I would just prefer it if they went ahead and used it.

It would restore the menace of the Reapers, who would not only be gigantic death machines, but machiavellian manipulators who will cheerfully mindf*ck people for capricious amusement.

Also, as any IT content would be post breath scene, it would provide us with new story content that actually matters - rather than mid game ancilliary stuff like Leviathan and probably Omega which we know won't really affect the outcome.

I'd want destroy, yes.
First, it's my favourite, so yes, I know I'm biased, but..

It's the only one where Galaxy literally has to do everything by themselves and Reapers are gone forever. It makes for most interesting scenarios.

Geth&EDI? Can be rebuilt, yes, it's not the same. But it doesn't matter for a sequel. And Geth losing personality? We didn't even know any Geth personally.

So yeah, I want destroy where Shepard is still out there and Geth are being rebuilt.

That's my choice and will always be my cannon. But I realise that it isn't for other people and would annoy them as much as having synthesis or control would annoy me.

Yep. Bio should just remove the breath clip in a patch.

I would be annoyed if they made any of the endings cannon. You know... for a fanbase that is doing so much complaining about their "choices not mattering", it is kind of funny to watch you guys demand that the final decision in the game be taken out of the player's hands as well.

Makes the most sense. Control would be OK-ish but for a decent new story it's best if the Reapers aren't around at all.

Shame on you if you can't tell the difference between screwing up choices within a game (or closely related trilogy) and the practical necessaties of making another game.

As far as I'm concerned, high EMS Destroy IS canon.

Never picked Control, never picked Synthesis, never Refused, never will.

Haha, nope, I really haven't. I watched my then-girlfriend pick Destroy, though, so I never had to. :P

little choices. hell war assets

but if they don't canon a ending then doubt they can make a sequel which most would want. although i recall a lot of ppl changed their minds when someone made a thread saying synthesis was confirmed

I suspect it won't matter as the next ME will either be a prequel or something will happen to negate everything Shepard did.

Reading the replies I now really hope Bioware will go and choose this for the next game and will not make a prequel.

I don't think it would make sense to rebuild the Geth, mainly because the advanced platform that makes them alive is thanks to Reaper tech. And would it be so bad? They were mostly enemies, it's just that Legion was pretty cool. But without Legion I think no one would miss them.

It makes more sense then the other two endings by a longggg way. So I would be fine with it.

I'd hate it if high EMS Destroy became canon. Destroyers have spent too much time ruining the game for others.

How does another person's choice for their ending ruin your game when you can pick whatever ending you want?

No, I would not be pissed if High EMS Destroy became canon. As far as I'm concerned, it's the only ending that really makes sense. When the game started, I (Shephard) set out to destroy the Reapers and that is exactly what I (Shephard) did.

I would like though as another poster mentioned for them to find a way to keep EDI alive even after the Destroy ending. EDI can survive - that's my hope! Joker and EDI together are just too good together.

But, yes, High EMS Destroy should be the canon ending in my opinion!

There's a low EMS synthesis? I thought you needed like medium EMS to have it available.

It's my favourite ending. But yes, I would be pissed. High EMS Destroy is not an ending that fits all my Sheps.

if i was running bioware and someone walked into the meeting room and said "this will become canon." id fire them on the spot.

as bad as ME3 ended, the start to ME4 with a canoned story would be even worse.

unfortunately for me, id expect nothing less from idiot-bioware.

I understand where you're coming from, and I'm sorry if I came of as too confrontational. But as far as I'm concerned if they can't make it work with all the endings, they shouldn't even try to make a direct sequel. I wouldn't want the influence my characters had over the Galaxy to be rendered moot out of practical necessity.

I woulnd't be knocking on BioWare's door with a torch and picthfork or anything... but I would be very disappointed if they went that route.
