I'd be pissed, furious in fact, that my choice was disrearded simply becasue a bunch of zealots screamed loudly about how their ending was so much better than everyone elses and used a bunch of flawed arguments that basically boiled down to "Your using head cannon for this ending, that's wrong! Now let me use my head cannon to tell you why your wrong and I'm right!"

But I'd get over it, mainly becasue the game would probably be enjoyable to me and I'd begrudgingly forgive it. That said, I think the cannon ending should be people advance and the reapers no longer become a threat, now this can happen a number of ways, even through simple codex entries. With destroy, we can say that people advanced technologically to have the same tech levels and unity as synthesis without the genetics part. With control, same as destroy, except the reapers left and are no longer in dark space, they've all disappeared for some reason(forshadow new threat). With synthesis the green glow goes away and diversity takes over agian, people still unified like in destroy, reapers left mysteriously(foreshadowing new threat). And refuse, well you probably picked it just to spite bioware, so your more than likley not going to even want to rent me4 when it comes out, so no harm there.

Couldn't it just be that your ending was too good to have a sequel?

Honestly, no clue. They could very make a sequel with all the endings except refuse, and probably address it in the codex and move on with the plot.

What i'm guessing though is they'll set it probably a century or so in the future, maybe half a decade, and make it so shepard died of old age happy with his love interest with the high ems destroy imports.

Nope. It seems the most natural choice.

They are probably gonna do what was done with the Deus Ex sequel(the original one, not Human Revolution). And by that I mean a mash-up.

While a high EMS destroy would be the easiest to develop a sequel from I suspect the ending choice of ME3 will become a casualty of the backlash and have little to no bearing on the next game. BW has an uncanny ability to over correct (whether it is by design or coincidence I don't know) and Shepard's final act will undoubtedly have as much impact on ME4 as elevators and the Maco did in ME2 or Harbinger in ME3.

I'm just pointing out that not making your favorite ending canon isn't at all the same thing as saying it was a bad choice, or irrelevant. All it would say is that a different choice worked better for a sequel

Absolutely not. Just because our community likes Destroy the most doesn't imply that Destroy is the universal favorite. Also, It is not good buisness to knowingly alienate everyone who doesn't like Destroy. Destroy doesn't get special treatment.

I say, either make all the endings canon or don't go further in the timeline. I'm sure that next gen consoles would be able to support more game content, and BW woudl alternatively be able to craft a good story from before the events of ME3.

I think destroy should be what they run ME4 off. The others change the world far too much, and if those changes are simply downplayed then they are actually harming those choices more by disrespecting them.

Considering how stupid control is and horrifying synthesis is I'd be thrilled if destroy was cannon.

The Quarians could begin rebuilding them. I think it would be an interesting plot point, should AIs continue to be illegal or not? And if they were, would the Quarians respect that?

I wouldn't be pissed.  Its the easy way out for Bioware.

I would be disappointed.  Mainly because they are invalidating our choices as players.  Also, Destory is boring.  The other ending have a lot more drama and potential conflict (at least Control does, maybe Refuse...Synthesis still doesn't make any sense).

Was my choice anyway.

But like the above poster said, this shouldn't matter because it'd remove all purpose of choice in the trilogy, if they just make canon decisions for ME4.

Destroy wipes the slate clean. No more present reminders of the Reaper plot beyond backstory. Therefore, something new can be brought in and the series can be refreshed. I can see how they might mash it up though. Still, in Control and Synthesis, an outside force is easily repelled and thus there is very little danger to threaten the galaxy.
