Right. And as a paragon, the choice that ISN'T raping the galaxy or being arrogant enough to assume your lone mind won't succumb to Reaper influence ever should be a no-brainer.

Genocide's a no-brainer? For a Paragon?

No.
Their sacrifice will not be honored in the coming empire.

IMO Paragons don't mind taking risks. Needless risk sure, avoid that. But they will take risks to not compromise their values.
IMO from most paragon to least paragon
Refuse
Control (Would assume that the Reapers would be destroyed by Shep rather than kept in long term slavery)

Besides, Destroy seems to be the ending that can spawn a wide variety of situations in the future that aren't just about overthrowing some AI overlord. Less restrictions and such.
A game based on Synthesis would probably not be that interesting either, since everything seems to be soooo "perfect" in that little world of theirs.

I never really cared what they canonize.
Though I am beginning to want Synthesis canon for the ensuing nuclear apocalypse on BSN.
God this would be hilarious. Also, cyberpunk synthesis future video game would be sweet.

I'd hate it if high EMS Destroy became canon. Destroyers have spent too much time ruining the game for others.

Synthesis is inevitable anyway, so why not go with it.

Now, with that being said....Yes, I would be highly disappointed if they declared one of the choices to be the "Canon ending". It's not right. Why even bother with giving us a choice if that's the way they were going to handle it?!
I think the next Mass Effect game should be released for the next generation of consoles....but, if they were to release it for the current consoles and if it takes place Post-ME3, then there's no reason that you shouldn't be able to import your decision of the final choice of ME3.
Unless they do that, I see no point in creating a game for the current consoles that takes place after ME3.
For any game taking place "after" the events of ME3, they shouldn't shoehorn any of the choices as "Canon". If a game takes place after ME3, it better damn sure take our final choice into account above anything else.....otherwise, what was the point?!
If Bioware went the route of declaring a Canon ending, they would effectively render The Shepard completely pointless.

Mmmmaybe Control, but I wouldn't be sure that having eternal cthulhoid overlords everywhere is conducive to a good story in the Mass Effect universe.
Synthesis just would not go over well for anybody. You seriously want everybody to have green glowy eyes and circuitboard skin?
Destroy is the only ending which lends itself to a sequel.

I guess a decent majority considers destroy the best ending for your canon playtrough. ME4 will be much better when it's set after the events of ME3 than before. To make this possible, there probably should be a canon ending. So, wether destroy is your favourite ending or not, would you be okay with it being canon?
I'd be more upset if Synthesis became the canon ending.
I'd be... really weary if Control became the ending but it is the closest to a status quo ending and so it's a strong contender for canon ending.
But High EMS Destroy? That's the ideal ending in my opinion. The Reapers are dead. The universe is free of them.
