Only with mods. If you had a female PC, you couldn't romance Morrigan. If you had a male PC, you couldn't romance Alistair.

DA2 is the one that let you "bang everyone".

Why are people so childish?

They did not say "I want Dragon Age Origin romances copy and pasted", they said they want the approach to be the same. That approach would be that each character has a defined sexuality, and that is a part of their character. It doesn't "automatically adjust" to fit the players preference, and it isn't all bisexual so "nobody gets left out".

That is not an unreasonable desire.

We don't know how many LIs, but since they can't do one bi, one straight, and one gay due to limited resources. It's likely that there are only 4 LIs. If we go by Origins approach, I would get stuck with just one LI once again. If I don't like that person, then my PC would be forever alone. It's not an unreasonable desire, but it would be at the expense of other people's enjoyment of the game. I would agree if there is an exclusive gay character to go alongside with the straight character. I don't think I'm asking for too much, just a bit of equality.

Honestly, I think the best answer is in the form of non-companion LI's. Basically like Kelly Chambers from ME2. The PC could have a number of friends and close comrades who AREN'T out there slinging swords and spells. Blacksmiths, Inn-keepers, barmaids, etc etc. Especially if we get our own castle, there's lots of opportunity there to add characters who are not actually combat companions.

I personally didn't have a problem with DA2's approach as i could compartmentalise the different universes of my different Hawke's. I'd probably prefer this approach with hopefully more convos being added for LI's to either less choice of LI or expanded no of LI's with less content.

Not a fan of the non companion LI's idea personally.
