I would like MP on this game its a very awesome game, but I missed MP when I bought it.
Why no MP I think it would have sold more copies if it had a MP.
Even a very long SP game isnt for ever lasting:?.

This has been asked and answered many times. Multiplayer is not a component of the game and will not be in the future, according to the devs. The game design does not support it.

If it had multiplayer, then it would be a totally different game. Then you could forget the idea of a good single player story, dialogues and character development. In a MORPG you really can't have this kind of story, since everything would develop differently for every player.
Even with just co-op there would have been too many problems with the story. Two players: which one plays the conversations, decides level up points, decides where the group goes etc. The other player would just be there for the battles. Or, if the players were actually in different groups, how would the story go on then? One player allies himself with the Dalish, what about the other one?
Don't get me wrong, I would like to play in DAO world with my friends, but I can't see how the story could be this good in MP. Not sure if it could be done, but at least I have never seen a MMORPG or any multiplayer RPG with a good story that you can really feel to be involved in.

It would be done like in the Baldurs Gate series, which Bioware made before...
1 player would be "the PC" and the rest would be tagalongs...
Playable npcs more or less, without dialogueoptions, or with in some cases *was an optional thing in BG seriues, if player2-6 could instigate dialogue and act as "the PC"*
So it can be done, but imo it DOES kill the immersion a tad... And maybe can't really be done well in the game they ended up developing? Have no clue about that...
But if done from the beginning it'd probably be like their older games... ^^
