The Acolyte has I think a 500% damage bonus to shields. My question is, if a Centurion has one bar of shield and you hit him, does the excess damage carry over to health with the 500% multiplier intact?
Meaning if I do 200 damage X 500% = 1000 shield damage, but he only has 100 shields, does 900 damage carry over to health, or just the 100 without the multiplier?

It doesn't alywas work precisely as it should - but yes remaining damage past the shieldgate will generally use the proper vs_defence_multiplier (health/armor) ... Lots of people would have noticed if acolyte (feather light pistol) was the only weapon in the game capable of 1 shoting all mooks without the need for headshots//cosumables by now ...
