Who's gonna get beat over the head with that Hurricane? Raise your hands high and say how you'll be affected!

I am supposedly in the middle of the things path.

I'm probably too far inland to get anything but some mild wind and rain, but you never know. I already got hit by a monstrous windstorm earlier this year that knocked the power out for days though, so I do hope this just blows on by.

I'm near the coast of Mass and Rhode Island, so I could get quite a bit.

I hear we're going to get hit by it and a massive cold front at the same time. A forecasted 30 inches of snow and a large likelihood of power outages. fun fun.

You underestimate Jersey pride. We better not lose power for a week like last year.

I'm from Jersey >:I and somewhat unfortunately still there.

And while I didn't lose power for a substantial amount of time, a bunch of people I knew did.

Manhattan.

I'm stocked up with beer, peanuts and pop-tarts. Also extra laptop batteries for anime viewing.

I'm in the path. I expect to survive the storm, but in the time without power (because the power companies up here suck) it's going to turn into something out of Mad Max. People will be killing each other over canned food with baseball bats, switchblades, and tire irons. The nights will be lit by the burning fires left by the raiders as they move from town to town. Yet as future King of the Wasteland, I am ready. They won't breach the second line of barbed wire around my bunker.

Yeah, I bought it when they first made available in North America.

I paid MSRP back then when most dealers were charging between $5000-$30000 premium on those things. Remember this was back in the end of 2008, during the beginning of the global subprime mortgage crisis caused by the bankrupcy of Lehman Brothers and the subsequent stock market crash.

:pinched:

Ouuuuuuuuch. I obviously cannot speak for your financial situation, but I'd take a guess and say 'twas worth it. I'd kill to have a GT-R.

It was well worth it.

It is a great car. Even now after nearly four years of ownership, the novelty still hasn't worn off a bit.

Now I just hope the parking complex doesn't get flooded, or I'll end up with a broken wet car.

But things up here are going to get serious. You'd better learn how fix up that GT-R proper and get it ready for combat on the roads. Spiked bumpers, kevlar panels and bullet resistant glass, get every bit of power you can from the engine, jury-rig a M60 LMG to fire foward, etc. Lord Humungus, the Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla, is a dangerous foe indeed.
