Damage on top of damage is always great. And all of this is happens with the armour debuff warp ammo applys onto enemies, which means the base damage of the gun hits harder. Seems like any SMG with high sustained DPS would shred a boss unit. Asari Valkyrie and Asari Justicar (biotic bubble of doom) would be great choices. Conceivably, on Gold and lower difficulties, anything would die besides a phase jumping banshee in the bubble of doom with a SMG with warp ammo IV.

Additionally, if I'm using this setup on a Turian Marksman and I headshot a teammate's primed target, my total damage output for that single shot would be 2450 x 1.25 = 3062.5?

Close.  Ammo damage doesn't do headshot damage.  Also, warp 4 is 60%, not 65%.  Thirdly, the ammo damage will apply to health and armor at 60%, and to barriers at 120%, and 0% to shields.  Ammo damage call is also before the weapon damage call, so it will not do anything to shielded enemies.  Not all that useful against geth and limited vs. cerberus, but awesome against reapers and collectors.

So if I am understanding this correctly, a Warped target takes 15% extra weapon damage from the gun because of the debuff, then another 65% weapon damage from Warp Ammo IV and then another 65% of the weapon's damage just because the target has a biotic primer applied to it? This means a gun that does 1000 damage per shot will do 2450 damage on a Warped target while using Warp Ammo IV?

It would explain why my Paladin + Warp IV + Fury always mowed **** down on Platinum.

Oh OK, thanks. I thought for some reason the Warp IV did 65% damage. Must have had it confused with one of the damage to armor values from another ammo type? Also, I wasn't aware that the ammo bonus damage wasn't applied to headshot damage, but I believe the Marksman HS bonus is multiplicative which is why I was wondering if it apllied to the total damage from the Warp/Warp effect. But since the ammo damage isn't applied to HSs, it really doesn't matter lol.

Again, thanks.

After Bioware posted that Warp Ammo has the extra damage applied to all primed targets when everyone was sure it was lifted targets, I ran some tests using Warp Ammo I(15% increased damage, 25% increased with biotics) on a Phalanx X(143.5 base damage).

Here are the health values of the target(a Cannibal on Bronze) for the tests.

First without the target being primed:

900.00
878.475 -- 21.525 damage -- 143.5 * 0.15 = 21.525 damage checks out

Next with it being primed with Warp:

627.865
600.959 -- 26.91 damage -- 21.525 * 1.25 = 26.91

Warp Ammo does deal extra damage to primed targets, but the multiplier affects the ammo damage rather than gun damage. In the case of Warp Ammo my 15% damage is increased by 25% against a primed  target.

Other damage modifiers such as Warp's +15% damage from Expose does not effect Warp Ammo.

The values for all Warp Ammo ranks are:

Warp Ammo I - 15% normal damage, 18.75% damage vs primed targets
Warp Ammo II - 25% normal damage, 37.5% damage vs primed targets
Warp Ammo III - 35% normal damage, 61.25% damage vs primed targets
Warp Ammo IV - 60% normal damage, 120% damage vs primed targets

Ill be testing later to see if the game still considers a target as being "primed" for the purposes of this bonus after you have detonated a Biotic Explosion.

Edit: Based on tests from Corlist, detonating the biotic effect will cause the bonus to no longer apply.

You know what? Before this post i never used the Warp ammo since i didn't understand really what it does (yeah it can be a bit stupid sometimes). Thanks to YOU Cyonan, i will use them from now on my "priming" characters!

Thanks A LOT!!

My Valkyrie's Piranha X with the +20% damage added by Annihilation Field sounds way better than I had imagined now. Thanks, Cyonan.

Well, I'd just like to point out that Warp Ammo on the huntress infiltrator will do godly amounts of single target damage. THINK OF THE DAMAGE.
