Private message him politely, have a reasonable discussion with him. Mr Schumacher nor any BioWare developer deserves to deal with these sorts of threads.
Anyway I read at least one of those threads, it didn't really compare Dragon Age Origins to unreleased, unfinished Dragon Age Inquisition and it would not go anywhere useful as there is SO little to compare with so it quickly turned into a Dragon Age Origins discussion thread in my opinion not Dragon Age Inquisition thread.
Anyway the moderators don't HAVE to be nice, they're well within their rights to shut down any thread they don't like (thankfully they don't do that to my knowledge). If you don't believe me read the terms and guarantees again or for the first time whichever.

And I don't think it's a joke to them, what they are doing is their livelihood, their passion. They come onto the forums to interact because their are people who may actually give them ideas on how to better their game or even point out flaws in their work that they didn't even realise.

Also this thread is going to get shutdown for not being productive. For future reference try private messaging them, if done politetly they'll respond.

Oh so if I ask politely the devs and mods will respond? When I first joined here back when Origins was released Chris Priestly would respond to anything you asked him in a PM. Try that now. Tell me how it goes.

Actually... Yes. allan has responded to all my pms. I once asked for clarification on a post he made and he pm'd me 5 minutes later with a in-depth explanation.Have you even tried the diplomatic approach?

You don't understand how companies work do you?

I understand perfectly.

I PAY THEIR SALARY! You pay their salary.

They earn their salary by working hard to produce a product that people enjoy. You gave them money and you got a game. It was not a loan, it was not a gift, it was a purchase. It's their money now and they have the absolute right to spend it in the manner they deem fit. They are not obligated to acquiesce to your demands or mine.

I am a consumer that has supported this company since it started. I have a right to voice my out rage.

There are limits.

In a restaurant, if you have a legitimate reason to be dissatisfied, you can complain and ask for a refund. Simply disliking your meal is not a legitimate reason, it is not the restaurant's fault if their product does not align with your personal taste.

As a consumer, it is your responsibility to lodge your complaints respectfully. If you repeatedly harrass, insult and yell at the wait staff, then you will get thrown out of the restaurant, and rightfully so.

It's the same situation here. If Bioware's new products are not to your personal taste, then that's unfortunate, but it's not their fault. They have the right to make the games they want to make, just as you have the right to not purchase them. If you come in here and insult them, not to mention other people on this forum, and demand unreasonably that they adhere strictly to your personal tastes, then they have the right to expel you from the forums.

I have been banned from this forum before (multiple times, in fact), for being overzealous in my defense of Bioware's recent games. So if your threads are being locked, I can assure you that it's because of your bad behaviour, and has nothing to do with trying to stifle negative opinions.

I'm curious, is it the games that Bioware wants to make or is it the games EA wants to make?

It doesn't matter. Any company has the right to make the product it wants.

EA's a profit maximising business, in theory they are in a market which has trouble with making long term profits usually they are non-existant. This market is what we know as a monopolistic market, okay so EA's ideal games are high profit games, in the short run. This is from a basic economical view.

So in conclusion, I'm pretty sure EA doesn't really care what type of game BioWare makes (unless if they are extremely offensive in some way) as long as the create high profit.

To be honest, Tor was Bioware's baby. Given Bioware's history, I don't see Bioware releasing Tor in the shape that it was in without EA pushing them to do so. Especially when their Beta team is telling them the game isn't ready. Now who is it here that is making the games that they want to make? Is it Bioware rushing Tor out the store or EA? Someone is making the games they want to make, I just want to know which company is at the helm.

Right so let's look at Tor as an example because it has the highest opportunity for long term profits. Given that the industry in which the game is set in which is by in large dominated by another game, what would be the best solution? Do you, release garbarge for short term profit or wait another year and release a game that won't go free to play in 6 months?

The rest is history.

I have, yes. These devs don't want to talk about criticism. And don't get me wrong, Origins had it's own criticism, but it never went to the extend of the Mass Effect meltdown. The devs and mods here have apparently taken a stance to ignore and discredit anything that criticizes their games.

Constructive criticism is welcome, showing disrespect to others is not.

That's not completely true. There are some Devs, yes that will defend the game to the letter against all criticism but there are also some who will and have agreed x feature didn't work out to well. Not even a week ago, gaider was talking about how flawed the friendship/rivalry system was.

Just to be clear, my "Because I'm performing BSN experiments!" is in direct response to the previous post, which was "Why is this thread not locked yet?"

I have made it a point to directly engage with fans who are critical and skeptical. I just do it to the ones that show a modicum of respect.
