Hey oky so i am lost, how do I avoid loosing my only party healer which i spent a good deal of time and money building on?

Ive gottin to the urn of ashs and no matter which road i take once i become a reaver she bails on me as soon as i go to camp.

Main> Tank> Champ > Reaver
zeden rouge dps duelist asasin
morg dps mage shapshift arc warrior
wyne mage healer spirit healer (i want to make her a blood mage eventually)

heres my choices wether i kill the dragon guy and his pals she bails
wether i kill high dragon or not she bails

is my only option to not take the road of being a reaver for the sake of loosing my only other mage? have i missed somthing?

Yes, once you pour blood in the urn Wynne will leave you no matter what you do.

However, once you unlock Reaver, you can reload to an earlier save, don't defile the urn and keep Wynne, and it will still be unlocked and available to your character.

Save just before approaching the Urn, then defile it, face down the Guardian, and return to Kolgrim and get the Reaver Specialization. Once you've done that, reload your save and leave without defiling the Urn. Because you unlocked the Reaver before reloading, it will be unlocked accross all current and future saves. You don't have to lose Wynne at all.

On the PC you can save prior to visiting the urn, take the path of Reaver to unlock it, reload your save, and take the other path to keep Wynne. You'll keep your unlocked Reaver specialization. Can do this for Blood Mage too.

You don't lose both Leliana and Wynne if you leave them at camp, just the one that approaches you when you return. Thats what I read anyway.

If you bring both along, then it is possible to defile the ashes and only lose one of the two. If you leave both at camp, then you'll lose only one. If you bring one along and leave the other at camp, you may end up losing both.

No that's incorrect. I defiled the ashes and i didn't lose any companion. When leliana wanted to speak to me about it in camp i just lied to her. I don't remember what she said i just lied about it and said the ashes were fine or soemthing like that,

@Hundbert. Did you tell the researcher/priest the truth? (You know, the one from Denerim that you rescue in Haven?) If you did, and you visit him later with Lel in your party, you'll lose her then when he tells her about it. So I've heard, anyway.

Same here, Wynne was dead in this particular play through, but I just lied to Leliana when I got back to camp and life went on.

She doesn't leave you if she discovers the truth later. You just take an enormous approval hit.

...did you defile the ashes WITH them in your party? You can also fail the lie to Leliana and she'll notice you're hiding something, forcing you to reveal the truth.

I've never had Wynne around when I got the ashes so I'm not sure about her, but I've heard she'll leave no matter what. Maybe the spirit tattles on you, or she can otherwise sense something amiss.

I didn't have Wynne in my group when i defiled the Ashes and she left me when i went back to camp. I was able to lie well enough to keep Leliana.

I'm guessing you mean Brother Genitivi. No i forgot to visit him in denerim after i was done with the ashes quest.

I talked to him in the cave though and explained what i did and he called me monster and ran off.

Also since im roleplaying as evil it would make no sense to go visit him with Leliana in the party unless i was a total retard which im not :)

Why would i first lie to her then go and visit the only guy who knows it's a lie.

No i didn't have Leliana in my group at that time. I only visited her afterwards in camp so if i would've had her in the party when defiling the ashes i picture she wouldn't be too happy about it. I probably should've said this in my first post, my apologies..

I also didn't know you could fail to lie to Leliana. If my memory serves me right there was no [Coercion] next to that option which means it shouldnt be tied to a persuasion check.

Logically it shouldn't be a check for that since there is no way she can know im telling the truth or not.

I had Leliana in my party as I defiled the ashes and I was able to keep her from turning. I had done her personal quest and hardened her so I don't know if that had anything to do with it, or I just did well enough on the intimidate check I got. I took an approval hit, but she stayed. :)
