Check the Dragon Age Wiki. In Thedas lore & mythology, it'sGriffon.
Right, are you aware they also spell "Sir" incorrectly? I'll stick with the way it's really spelled on this one.
Nope, not spelled incorrectly, in fact it's a completely different title which actually exists in real life.
It was accepted into real life AFTER it was incorrectly spelled in DA and that book series. If you're writting a paper or a letter I wouldn't use "Ser" under any circumstance.
Well I'm not writing a paper, and regardless,
Ser and
Griffon are the correct spellings in regards to Dragon Age lore. Therefore, in this case;

It's Griffon. .
Very similar to a lingual aspect of Tolkien mythology, which has it's own cases of alternate spelling and plurals, one I think is
dwarves, rather than
dwarfs, the former of which is mostly only used in fantasy literature. In fact, when The Hobbit was first published, it was corrected back to dwarfs, against Tolkien, so it had be corrected again in later editions. So in other terms, Griffin, Sir, and Dwarfs are all of course correct spellings, but in regards to specific mythologies or lore, it is correctly spelt in an alternate way. As a result, on this site, and in regards to Thedas lore, it is in fact spelt Griffon.
