Just because female dwarves aren't your societal image of the perfect female (tall, skinny, beardless) doesn't mean there shouldn't be any. So unless by canon, they are supposed to be confined to their homes (like Ferengi), they ought to be found walking along the streets of Thedas. Why you ignoring half of the species? No one seems to be ignoring "sexy" females (I bet if we see a Kossith, she is going to be sexed up). Seriously, why are all the short and well-built female folk always ignored in so many fantasy settings? I'm a short female folk (albeit not as short as a dwarf) and I demand to be represented!!! :-P

Females dwarves in the third Dragon age would be cool. I would even go for one being a Love interest. Male dwarves, on the other hand, is something different. You can call it whatever you want, but I feel that a male should be taller then a female.

Does anybody thinks that LI dwarves are waste of time? I would better get desire demon as LI.

Look I don't care if I get a female dwarf love intrest or even companion BUT SERIOUSLY it was weird living in a city full of dwarves (there were actually quite a lot of them in Kirkwall in my opinion) yet there was not a SINGLE FEMALE ONE IN SIGHT. Oe

It was weird. Please have them as npcs at LEAST in DA3. Because they're bloody adorable. <3

And if the warden was a dwarf commoner can't Rica make an appearance? He/she IS her sister/brother who is apparently still missing, afterall... Oo

Well considering that "The Warden" could possibly appear as an NPC and that one of the choices for him/her is being a dwarf I would say that there is a most definite high chance of seeing female dwarves of some kind in DA3.

The chances of the Warden appearing as an NPC are pretty much slim to none, especially if anyone is banking on their customized version showing. I for one am perfectly happy with the Warden's story being finished. Anyone who really feels the need to continue their Warden's story can write fanfiction or create custom modules using the DA:O dev tools.

Bioware has no excuses not to include female dwarves in DA3. I'd say we should get one as a companion (Sigrun seems to be in high demand). But I doubt we will get one. Have to keep as many spots open for human companions. *sarcasm*

I think it's the same case like with nearly every male character having a trained/muscular body. Maybe it's due to the extra work needed to make armor/clothes fit appropriatly on different body types or the world should just look "perfect".
That said, I would like to see more male characters with the shape of the Redcliffe innkeeper and "not so perfect" female characters, which female dwarves and female Qunari maybe could provide.
It gives a fantasy world more credibility, which I enjoy.

Hah! Yeah, I was thinking of that... *lol* But honestly, it's different because Jerrry wasn't gay, whereas I am a short chick! At around 5'1", I have to look up most of the time if I want to meet somebody's eyes. I don't mind it at all when somebody appreciates my kind! ^_^

Something about a romance with a short person makes him feel uncomfortable.

I keep hoping he'll get over that--it doesn't have to be weird. As long as a short character doesn't act like a cutesy child all the time, there's no reason she can't be an LI. Even a serious one. Hell, I'd even say, "Go ahead and make dwarves a mite taller," if that's what it took to get us dwarven LIs. Elves got a bit of a revamp, why not dwarves?

But the males should not ever be taller than human females. They should remain shorter. Otherwise the word "dwarf" would be a complete misnomer.

Because love isn't based on height. I know the boss of a computer company whose wife is about a head taller than him. They make a fine couple and just had their third child together.

I would love to play a tall, badass warrior woman who romances a shorter guy. I may look up at most people in real life, but I think it's nice when two people are so in love that they don't care what other people think. Don't you? :)

Real love's hard enough to find. I don't think I'd turn it away if it came in a smaller package than I expected (note, I said in, not with! :P).

As long as I found the person attractive and he found me attractive and we cared about each other, I think that's all that would matter. If a feeling is truly real, nothing can hold it back.

Indeed. I know plenty of girls who like the "teddy bear" build on a guy, and I like 'em a bit on the scrawny side myself--neither type really happens in games much (Fenris excepted.) I also know guys who prefer pretty much any kind of female build you can think of, including short with generous curves (i.e. pretty much a female dwarf.)

A world feels more real if it's filled with differently-shaped people.

[quote]I have this belief that love is blind. It doesn't care who you are. How taller you are. What you look like. It doesn't even care about age. It just grabs you. I don't care whom a person falls in love with. People of all shape, sizes and color make beautiful couples, and they make even more beautiful children.

However, before a person can fall in love they have to fall in lust. They have to be drawn to a person. Whether that attracation is physical or not it doesn't matter. A person won't give another person a time of day if they are not attracted to them. Now, a person can be physcially not attracted to a person, but after time they can fall in love with that person due to their personility. It happens, and that love is probably more beautiful then the person who falls in love with someone based on looks.

Now with that just said my personal opinion about a male being taller then a female is just that a personal opinion. Is it right? No, but I never denied that. That's why I said you can call it whatever you want. It just how I feel. Do I look at a couple where the female is taller then the male and find it sickening. No, I don't.

If Dragon age 3 has a male dwarf and he is only romancable by a female dwarf then I will do a romance with him. Simply because I get curious about all the romances. However, if there is an option for both gender. I will probably do the romance with the male human.

And you are right if a feeling is truly real, nothing can hold it back not even someone's belief on what they feel is attractive. Love has a way of making you fall for something you never thought you would.

Real love's hard enough to find. I don't
think I'd turn it away if it came in a smaller package than I expected
(note, I said in, not with! :P).

I LOLed.
