I think I just finished the best playthrough I had yet :-) Only sad parts being I think Lloyd or w/e the fat barkeep of Redcliffe is, he died durng the attack and I saved as MANY people as possible in this playthrough other then him, then in Awakenings all good except I gave the rioting people grain, and they demanded more in the  epilogue, but ohwell! Only sad part is now in DA2 I know NOTHING of pretty much, DAO I know out of my head, but DAO I don't know much about.. So a few questions.:

- In DA2, are there quests easily missed? And to get as much content as possible I'd like max affection.. Best way to do this? I know last time I failed badly with Fenris and Isabella. (If I said those names right.)

- In the codex in DA:O Awakening it said Oghren, Justice and Anders died and the keep defense failed, though in the epilogue it was a hole different story.. This is the second time, first time around I made the mistake of saying no to guards for the granite, and afterwards I said yes- but the quest already finished with a "no" so I had to re-do the hole game, took me a few months before I even bothered again, I panicked as I thought the same would happen now, but luckily not.. What's up with that?

- Third but not least, in DA:O I .. kind of slept with Morrigan without.. anything extra, then I flirted abit with Leliana but I think I never did anything, and then eventually made it clear I had no intentions for either and married Anora, yet in the Epilogue it said that Leliana was my mistress, and now I did Witch Hunt and I kissed Morrigan.. Eh?! So practically I'm still with all three, whereas I only wanted to be with Anora? xP

Thanks for the answers :)

Firstly, some people prefer to have Lloyd die at Redcliffe. That way Bella takes over the tavern. But still...

1) Yes there are several quests which are very easily missed. I suggest you trawl every area at the start of every act of the game, including just visiting your companions at their 'homes'. Which is a huge pain, but there you are. I keep fogetting to go and see Hawke's uncle Gamlen in Lowtown in Act 3, for instance which instigates a quest...

2) Yeah, the ending of Awakenings is a plot car-crash. If you choose to save Amaranthine, the companions you leave at the Keep will always be blacked out for the final mission and be unavailable to you, and the codex will say they are dead. However, if you did their personal missions and fully up-graded the Keep, then you get their 'good' epilogue slides where the Keep did actually hold out and the companions actually survived (most of them. Come to think of it, I think Justice always 'dies', and Velanna's slides are pretty ambivalent at best).

This is actually exacerbated in DA2 because Awakenings' plot flags will still register the companions left at the Keep as dead, even if you got the good epilogue slides. This is important because you can get a cameo from Nathaniel in DA2 - if he survived Awakenings. So basically you needed to have him in your final party to kill the mother, or you needed to save the Keep over Amaranthine in the first place.

Justice and Anders you don't need to worry about, however. They are retconned to survive Awakenings and will appear in DA2 regardless. There is extra dialogue about how Anders 'faked his death' if he died in Awakenings.

3) Relationships are a bit screwy too. Particularly Lelianna's. So that's a bug. Morrigan, however, will always have the romance ending available even if you started and ended the relationship with her in Origins. No repercussions as of DA2.

I'll do that, trawl meaning explore every corner I suppose? I know there is a specific instance in Lowtown where there is a bonus quest/convo for Fenris, but I'll see when I get to that.

Justice does indeed always die, but seeing DA2.. That was acceptable, I read that Velanna also dies hence I took her with.. those false Codex' really give a person a scare.

..So they haven't bothered fixing the Codex/Epilogue bugs which are a MAJOR point? That sucks! So technically Oghren, Anders and Justice DID die? Two of them being fine as Justice joins with Anders and Anders isn't really dead, but Oghren? Argh.. Why have they never bothered fixing that? Waste of time!

And alrighty, just seemed odd.. It still says I'm the prince-consort, or rather the warden was.. so all good I guess. Still Awakenings.. That kind've put me off for DA2. :/ Thanks.

Edit: And what's the best way to make sure Isabella doens't run and Fenris doesn't try and stab me at the end?

Edit2 : Mark of the Assasin and Legacy, after DA2 or while doing it?

No, Oghren can survive, even if he was left at the keep. That is, you can get the epilogue slide that says he survives (takes on two ogres at once, gets knocked out and wakes up several days later after the battle). I suppose the plot flags will still register him as dead if you left him at the Keep, but seeing as he doesn't have a cameo in DA2 either way, that doesn't count for much.

Isabella's friendship or rivalry needs to be over 50% for her to return at the end of Act 2. It doesn't matter which - friendship or rival, as long as it's over 50%. So only take her on missions where you'll make choices which earn you friendship OR rivalry points from her, but not both.

Fenris is more tricky. Some companions are geared towards turning on you whichever side of the Templar/Mage conflict you pick (I believe Fenris turns on you if you pick mage and Merrill turns on you if you pick Templar), but 100% friendship or rivalry AND personal quests all completed should do the trick in keeping them loyal (even if they still hold reservations).

Edit2 : Mark of the Assasin and Legacy, after DA2 or while doing it?

Plot-wise I'd say it really doesn't matter much. They both work fine wherever you want to do them. Though the 'best' team for Legacy is Anders, Varric and sibling, while the 'best' team in MotA is Isabella and Aveline, if that sways your decision at all (if, for example, you're planning on killing Anders, having your sibling die in the Deep Roads, or latting Isabella run away - in which case you might want to do the relevant DLCs before those events). You do get some nice equipment from Legacy though, which might make you inclined to do it sooner rather than later.

He might have a cameo in DA3.. So what is the point in playing if Bioware just left the first game broken, also I've had a playthrough in the past where I defended the keep and all 3 companions that weren't in my party died in the epilogue.

And I'll have to try then, if all else fails for Fenris- I can just get hum full rival xP

And alright, I was planning to do Legacy at the end, I heard (planning on letting Bethany become a Grey Warden) that it'd effect dialogue and she'd actually be a Grey Warden then. Thanks again Ferret, you've been most helpfull. :-) I actually mailed EA (Cuz I have no idea what adress of BW I should mail.) about the bug in DA:O Awakening.

If you are playing on the PC, there are bugfixes that clean up the problems over at dragon age nexus. There is also a program available that creates a bug free synthetic ending for importation into DA2.

His concept art is decorating the wall at the Hanged Man.  ^_^

(Okay, not much of a cameo, more of an Easter egg...)

Xbox alas, but I don't think console users should be punished- or well.. Bioware should make a fix for all three truth be told.
