The first online game I got involved in was UT2004 onslaught. In that game when you died you received a message saying "You were killed by [player name]" so I called myself  "sheer luck", because, you know, I wasn't very good.

Then I went to join the Neverwinter Nights forums and the name was taken so I deliberatly misspelt it.

Now that the most famous 'Shia' is a guy I guess it's not the best name for a female but since I've used it for years, I'm not changing it now... and it is quite nice when someone calls me Lady Luck.

Have fun :)

My last job at a research lab in a children's hospital saw me doing Flow assays or data analysis nearly every day. I grew to really like the technology and analysis behind it,so there ya go.

Origin ID is ChurchOfDeviance. One of my favorite death metal songs by a band called Spawn of Possession. My original Origin ID was MorbidAnalFog which was an old black metal troll band, haha.

My parents decided to name me this at some point around when I was born and it just sort of stuck I guess.

Annomander wrote...

My name is adapted from a character in Steven Erikson's "Malazan Book of The Fallen" novels. The original character is spelled Anomander, but I've always thought it looks better as Annomander.

Just a shame some ass-hat always takes Annomander, so I'm stuck with something else at the end of my name for my origin ID.

Anomandaris Purake, Soletaken Lord of the Tistie Andii, Son of Darkness, The Knight of High House Dark.

I freaking LOVE that series. Really fantastic high fantasy.

Mine is an accident, it's the throwaway email address I used to register most things with my Xbox :-(. GT is also an accident, was supposed to be Synchronicity08 but I fat fingered it...<_<

Mine is from my design company (now all but defunct) Digi-Gen. It stands for Digital Genesis: the power of digital creation. It is a handle I have used for years so it just made sense.

It was the default name I got when I made my XBL account.

And as I did not have a brilliant idea for a gamer tag I would have liked for several years - interesting, neutral, so to use it for any kind of game, and unique - I did not change it yet.
But it is not really a name I would have chosen.

A "pseudo" Scandinavian tag from a D&D character--you know, like the pseudo German you run across in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. Quick Sword. Unfortunately, no one could ever pronounce it, so I switched to "galaxygrunt". "Galaxy" because sci-fi games tend to be my favorite online (e.g., Halo, Mass Effect), and "Grunt"...well...because that's what I started out as in the Marines--and I loves me my shooters

I'm not subtle. I'm sure everyone can figure out how I came about my name.

actually when I came up with the handle Dragonkid6, there was no other "Dragonkid" on the net but I wanted the 6 instead of first person to have that handle. Been using for a couple years now, like 6, Sidenote: with googles growth you can longer see the 10 pages worth links for my name and what sites you use to find me on >_>

I was Necrotron on City of Heroes for 8+ years. Now it's simply my online persona for several games.

As for my forum name, Bathaius was simply my DA:O character's name when I originally signed up for the Bioware Social Network to download mods or whatever got me here originally.

Many years ago a guitar player dubbed me AngryBob for my pessimistic(realistic) view point. I was introduced as such on stage at our next gig by the singer. I use the H to differentiate from some comedian out there who calls himself Angry Bob. I have used this handle for nearly 20 years and shorten it to ABH quite often for liner credits when I contribute to albums.

It all started when I was signing up for a RuneScape account...

My friend had an account named "Siggorrah", and I suck at making up usernames, so I went down the alphabet to find a letter to switch in for the "S", and thus "Viggorrah" was born. Been using it ever since.

I went to put my name on a save file and put an X instead of a V. I liked it so I just threw the 312 (apartment building I grew up in) on it. My PSN name however, was the result of high school stupidity (ManofBlak222). I just stick with it.

Well, I played an old really bad game a while back that was basically a large, multiplayer space 2D station simulator with a twist: There is a corporate spy, and he generally wants to sabotouge the station(, Or maybe the Thing has boarded and is hungry.)

My characters name was Walrus Jones.

I decided to reuse this name for my origin ID, but then I decided since this was a Multi Player shooter, I needed a name that made me sound like a real big idiot...

Hence the SmallBallsWalrus was born.
