This one was derived from a Gene Wolfe book, while my gaming name (GuavaMonkey) was... umm... well, a monkey eating guava fruit.

Years ago, I often created my username for each different game, based on that game.  For Jedi Knight, my name had "Qui-Gon" in it.  For Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield, I was Rainbow_Elite77.  For Neverwinter Nights... yes, I'm sure you can figure that one out.  The 77 comes from the fact that I needed a number, and 7 was taken.

My gamer tag/origin id is derived from a comic book called "The Immortal Iron Fist." The main character has a move called "Palm of Forty Sorrows." And so there you have it. I have all my Vanguards named after different characters from the series. My Krogan is "Fat Cobra" ex-Cerberus is "Steel Phoenix," etc. Good times.

The "tMc" comes from the gaming clan that I'm a part of called The Monkey Clan. "Tallgeese" is a reference to the original Mobile Suit Gundam series that had a machine called Tallgeese. I chose it because it fit with something I had accomplished in an older Xbox 360 game called Chromehounds. There I had built a hound (name of mechs) that had proven highly effective against most other players and it eventually became a build copied throughout the community and spawned several other variations. Tallgeese in the series had been the prototype for all suits that came after it much like the hound I had created.

<3 RIP Chromehounds I miss it so :crying:

My gamer tag is what i thought i would do in every game after sitting there for a hour or so I came up with what does every character in every game do? KICK ASS so i came up with the name AZZKIKN360 because ASSKIKN was already taken. The 360 is because it was on XBOX 360 and i wanted to add numbers. My BSN name has a 420 because the name AZZKIKN360 was already taken and i saw everyone else had a 420 by their name at that time.

I'm a fan of Regina Spektor and I've been listening a lot to her at the time I bought the game.. Didn't have a clue when I was asked for my origin id, and ReginaSpectre poped into my mind. the only problem with that is most gamers that add me I'm a girl and send me weird messages which is kinda uhmm weird...

Mine sounds stupid, but it is to keep myself grounded no matter where life takes me, to remind me of my origins.
My older brother and I were orphaned at a young age. We were mistreated at the orphanage we ended up at, so we decided to run away, also fearing we'd never be kept together even if we were adopted. We lived a pitiful life of petty theft (mostly for food) and found it hard to keep ourselves safe on the street.

Things changed when we came across a plumbing store. During that time, toilets were high in demand, especially with the newly released bidet models. We actually started to make a sustainable life by stealing toilets and selling them on the black market. In other words, we found our way off the streets by "Jacking Crappers"

From there, we were able to find respectable jobs when we were of age into the world of plumbing.

Actually, that never happened, but it's what I like to tell people. I have had this nick ever since I started playing online MP games (starting with Starsiege Tribes 1, the best game I ever played, which all evolved around a single bug). I guess I was supposed to be a descendant of the great Thomas C Crapper or something. I just picked it on a whim. The real explanation is anticlimactic. Sorry.

Well, even to this day, my best friend whom I've known for 31 years refers to me as "Jack" or "Crapper," and I still call him "Baxter"

T1 you say? Demo servers or full? I played both as Matrix Shocke and Mr PigglyWiggly. I feel like I saw a name like yours on there, about 12 or so years ago?

Wow, flash from the past.  Dunno about Demo servers, but we used to play on a league (don't remember which one).  Team Fusion was the team.

Good times, good memories.  We used to play from the beginning, during the IE heyday (remember [IE] Natural?), 5150 days, and a bit past then, too.  God, it must have been 13 or 14 years ago.

That was one of the first games with character animations, smack talk, and crouch, which I used to invent T-Bagging.  I didn't consider it T-Bagging at the time.  It was more like a necrophiliac move, where I'd hump the enemies I'd exterminated.  I am not proud of this accomplishment.

Solatier comes from an mmorpg i played with a friend called Solârex,
Solatier means Pet (Tier= german for animal or pet in this case) of Sola.
I skippet the ^ because i dont like apostroph in nicknames,

Lisl was the Name of my character I played befor i got Solatier and is the shortform of Mementolisl
Mementomori was our guildname and our leaders name was Lisa, but we called her Lisl.
As she quitted the game and our guild broke I wanted something to remember for me.

A little bit complicated but I hope you understand what i wanted to say :x

How I came up with my name is a bit complicated. Firstly, my daughters name plays a part as well as my own. Lauren = crowned with laurel. Daniel = God is my judge.

Her nickname from me is Yodle. I heard someone yodel when I hiked round Europe after leaving sc
hool at 16. She reminded me of the experience when she was younger. The English word "Yodel is derived from the German word "Jodeln" meaning "to utter the word jo" Pronounced "Yo" in english (wiki)

Then see Otto Moritz Walter Model (wiki) German Field Marshall. See Wehrmacht Defensive qualities.

Yodel Model = My Yodle.

L = Lauren = L in Yodle
S = Suzanne = Suzanna = Spanish family tie
U = N for Norman (my surname has Norman Origins)
U = as above and the U in my surname meaning me.
P = Constantine shield and death from above.
E = At times a bit off it (me)
LE = Raining fire to me.

Spuudle - an amusing way to say the above in a Yorkshire, German accent thinking of Fawlty Towers, the Germans.

I thought the new N7 characters were cool so wanted to go along with that theme, but with a lame job to replace 'Destroyer', 'Slayer' etc. So I went for Fluffer. If you don't know what a Fluffer is, google it, don't search images though.

On a particular day in August of 2000, Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition was released. On that day, I needed a name for my new character for this new game. I wanted to create a new name, and after a few minutes of dismissing non-words that failed to roll off the tongue, I came up with "Vole-kai".

It turns out there's a "Janos Volkai" that lives or lived somewhere in eastern europe who did a paper for the UN at some point, but so far it seems to be fairly unique, and I've used it as my online handle ever since.

Over the past dozen years, 'Volkai' as a character (as opposed to as my online handle) has become a specific character, and I've come up with other characters with other names, but Volkai is the one who is most like the person I am. A little more likely to throw caution to the wind and take action, but characters can live and die more than once, so I think that's understandable.

Well mine is from when i was at school, i was about the only mass effect fan in our year and i was a die hard legion (may he rest in peice) fan so people started calling me Shepard-Commander when i was originally signing up one of my old school friends was round and while i was at the toilet he snuck upstairs and put this in i was originally going to put Adurnröth909 (which i use on nearly everything from WoW characters to my email) coming from the ancient language of the inheritance cycle books (eragon, eldest, brisingr and inheritance) being a combination of the word for water (adurna) and blasted (Nángoröth) as for 909 that was just the total score from all my maths tests since year 2.
Oh and yes i was the class geek in school but also the rugby captain

Vlk - short form of Valkyrie, which is my nickname in games since 1998.
3 - Vlk was already taken, so I needed a number and this is my favourite.

Why the short form instead of Valkyrie? I don't know, I guess I just wanted it to be like this. Perhaps laziness.

I have the same nickname on origin.
