Yup, Collectors have definitely taken a large chunk out of the fun in this game.

I'm fine with them, but the Praetorians are a little too much for me. Barriers and Armour, protective bubble thing, high-powered long distance and close-range instant kill. Combine all of that with them being potentially the second fastest unit in the game after the Dragoon, and it's problematic.

They are the toughest faction by a lot though the others also have pia units as well. My beef with the collectors is not so much their offense or defense it's how often in a wave you have to deal with them because of the spawns. Things probably do not have to be change for gold or plat but lower levels, especially bronze there should never be more than one scion in a wave at a time.

Collectors are the only challenging faction that isn't cheap. In other words, they're the only one that really is fun to play against. Reapers are ridiculously easy. Geth and Cerberus are simply so cheap, I hate playing them.

I like Collectors. Reapers are still the most fun though in my opinion. The only thing I really dislike about Collectors is doing Hacking/Upload objectives, because Praetorians move in way too fast and if you nuke them the next two are at the site in no time. And Possessed Abominations running into the objective area and blowing up the whole team. Although that is more a problem of teammates killing those bastards. But even without that they just sometimes die from AoE damage or a Cobra Missile. So aside from that I really like Collectors. More than Geth and Cerberus at least...

If you don't have fun playing against them... Don't play against them??
You'll get all of zip done whining about it on a forum.

I disagree. I love the collectors. I love being able to spam fire explosions and biotic explosions on them despite the reduced damage they take from them. Their level of challenge is nice and not to mention when you play collectors platinum, there's no Geth Hunters. They're actually the only faction I would consider playing platinum on anyway just for that aspect.

I think the collectors are great. Only issue is that praetorians roll over like silly puppies.

im fine with collectors, but i learned the hard way today that if you charge a praetorian doing its mid air laser it will still sync kill you.

I enjoy fighting the Collectors. I like sniping the bulge on the Scion, popping their back open and dealing massive damage. I also like Krogan heavy melee Abominations into groups of enemies, causing explosive damage. Only thing I can't figure out is the Possessed process.

EDIT: Had to fix spelling Image IPB

They are challenging, I guess it's that you don't like.  Regardless, switch up your class loadouts and powers.  BioWare actually states for their DLC. (If you click the DLC specifically on the website tabs)  That you will need to switch up how you play, basically.  That isn't word for word but surely someone else has read this and can explain it better.

Excuse my french but what the ****? Most of it has blown over but im still pissed I didnt get the ending I wanted and your saying that they said somewhere I have to change my playing style? It's bad enough they made an extended cut and said if you still don't like it tough, again what the ****? I completely understand that the Mass Effect series is their creation, BUT who pays the bills? The fricken consumer. I will not change my playing style for a game I would like to enjoy, if I wanted to break a controler again and get beyond pissed i'd play ****ing COD. Sorry if I got off topic, and I apologize about my language. I still meant what I said.

they all take a lot less power damage then they should.

From what I heard, that only applies to combo explosions that hit Collectors that Harbinger has assumed direct control of. I might be wrong, however.

Partly true. They actually confirmed that all units don't regist combos right, but they also said they don't register damage right from multiple sources, and didn't go into detail what those are.

I know Scions are glitchy on damage taken, sometimes no amount of fire seems to do anything to them. Last night I put a cloaked Javelin shot with full damage everything (amps/power evolutions/gear/etc) after a prox mine debuff into a Scion's center body and he didn't even lose one bar of armor on my GI. However, if you aim for the head/sac regions you normally don't experience problems.

Adapt, is that what your saying? I hate that people have all this crap about platinum loadouts and character specific builds, if you hated people doing the old Firebase White exploit then you should hate the builds because it is the same thing. If you say your just adapting and crap like that your still doing the exploit on FBW.

So you are saying that BioWare managed to remove something by adding something which is not mandatory? What is this sorcery?

They are okay, fun to play against.

My only gripe is how a possessed Praetorian has an ABSURD amount of Armor (IIRC I think they have like in the 40-43ks?) and scions have like 30k+ when possesed.. waay too much.

I wouldn't have a problem with the Collectors if only we weren't forced to play them.

Oh wait.

I've gotten over most of the initial difficulty with the Collectors. Don't get me wrong, they still ****** me off. The Scions, especially, and the suicidal tendencies of the Troopers. I'd like to play against a faction that uses tactics other than "KAMIKAZEEEEEEEE" in this game, but I guess that's what passes for AI these days.

The Scions with their ridiculously high spawn rates, blasts that go through walls and kill shield regen while spawning grenades at your feet on top of the bugged resistance and damage boosts are a bit much, humps or no humps.

But they're nowhere near as broken as the Geth.

They're very fun. The other factions, I can usually know that we'll finish the match. With the Geth, things become trivially easy if you accept that you should just camp, and Cerberus and Reapers aren't too tricky. Collectors are much more intense, very punishing, but they do it without reliance on stunlock of sync kills. They're awesome fun to play against.

I just dont understand why one faction is harder to beat, on the same difficulty than another faction. Thats not how it should work in a game with established difficulty tiers. They are fun to shoot in the face though - but those scions are abit much.

For Scions: Take cover and then shoot the sacks for maximum damage!

Edit: Pun intended and mandatory.
