assuming this is true...you're saying that ME3 copied Deus Ex, but made it worse... and now AC3 copied ME3's copied ending, but also made it worse? that would be very amusing/depressing.

i stopedothring with AC after AC:B
the same boring repetitive gameplay with the most boring combat ever. Push a button and something awesome will happen. and then people critisice DA2 combat.

People seem to think that a trinity---or even a pair---of hard choices at the end of a story is a new concept, involving a blank slate, a controlled environment, or a combination of everything into something new. It's really, really not.

And considering the endings to the other AC games, this doesn't surprise me at all.

I just watched the ending. Wow was that bad.

The video game industry really needs to start hiring some real writers. I don't know what's been up with this year and bad game endings. I'm glad i've never been invested in the AC series, but i know how the fans must be feeling.

Maybe the ending was all a dream...maybe it never happened and Ubisoft is going to release the real ending about 1 year later?

Knowing them, they'll release two more games to elaborate on that ending.

AC is a crappy IP anyway so nothing of value was really lost there.
