Just pointing out we're going in circles.

Does this prove IT or are we gonna have to take back AC?

The latter. I expect a LOT of fanrage. That said, I'm okay with a sad ending. Halo: Reach was incredibly depressing from start to finish but it was still very, very well done.
I'm not the one who keeps looping back to the same thing in this conversation.AresKeith wrote...

I'm not a major AC fan but....AC is more then just that.TygerHeart wrote...
I've only played AC2. I'm not a huge fan of 'open world' games. Too sprawling and to many repeat ad nauseum quests.
Then, throw in the fact that you go from assassinating templars and hunting for revenge to holding an orb that creates holographic dopplegangers that shoot lasers out of their their asses in a major WTF moment, and played just long enough into Brotherhood to realize that I was never going to 'get it'.)
Did anyone really expect AC3 to be any better? The entire alien/animus subplot is a disaster that will never be fixed.
In reach you already knew you are going to lose. AC fans upset over the ending need to wait till things are explained.Dasher1010 wrote...

You know they said the exact same thing about Lucy. She was one of the most liked characters and fans reacted almost immediately to her death. Then the truth comes out when people actually delve deeper into the game and find out she was in fact a Templar secret agent all along. Most of you who have commented i will wager haven't even played the game yet let alone explored all available parts in the game current and future. Do not make assumptions on what will happen when in truth none of you know nor does anyone else but Ubisoft.
AC 3 has no ending, It has a cliffhanger.MrFob wrote...
I haven't seen much of AC3 (waiting for the pc version and don't want to spoil myself so I haven't read this thread beyond the title either) but let me say one thing:
An ending like ME3's would fit Assassins Creed perfectly. This series basically thrives on the weird, unexpected and quite off-putting plot developments. AC is a conspiracy thriller, not an epic space opera. It would make perfect sense if things are not what they seem and if you have no way to win outright. It might even make sense to change who the allies and the enemies are (they did it often enough already after all, just look at Lucy's story). If AC3 has an ending that is narratively comparable to ME3, it can be absolutely fine, maybe even brilliant, depending on the execution.
ME3's ending didn't fit ME. That was the problem. It may fit in other stories like (e.g. Deus Ex). AC3 may still have a bad ending (won't know until I saw it) but the fact that ithere may be similarities to ME3 doesn't diminish it IMO.
P.S.: While this is an ME3 spoiler forum, could people please avoid spoilers of other games/movies/whatever, at least in the thread title and at least for games/movies whatever that are hardly or not yet released? I'd be thankful.
