Yes, it's posting inflammatory things to purposely anger another person over the internet. You are terrible at it.

So which ones gonna rage more, AC or ME fans for no longer having the only bad ending to talk about?
Probably ME fans. AC fans are largely pretty weathered to nihilistic, philosophically out-there endings where bad things happen outside their control.
The death of Lucy Stillman, anyone? That surprised and pissed me off. But I'm still playing, I guess. Hollywood endings are cliche anyway.
I didn't really care about Lucy and when I heard she was a Templar, it made it feel better

The number of the installment doesn't matter. The literary comparison is apt. It's the midpoint of a story where the bad guy is winning and basically the Darkest Before the Dawn. Read some books.
It matters because I've been playing these games in the hopes we'd find a way to save the Earth only to be told in the fifth game that your efforts were useless all along. If that was the point of Desmond's story, they could've gotten it across much sooner.
They did. When Desmond kills Lucy Stillman, it's obvious that Desmond is already being controlled and that there is little he can do except fight against it. Oh, and Earth was saved. Solar Flare didn't wipe out civilization.

Well, Hera was a magnificent troll in Greek mythology, so there is no surprise there.Edolix wrote...
I'm more amused by how Juno told Desmond that there would "be no pain" when he touched the crystal ball thing, which then proceeds to cook him alive. Juno is clearly a troll.
The only thing that astonished me is that the background scenery didn't break and go into an Animus loading screenlike void, what with all the scenery chewing her voice actress was doing.

I didn't get that impression, but wouldn't that make her a double-agent, or was she working for Juno?

Point. I guess I should've said you don't get to save Earth on your terms. But, truth be told, what terms are those? We never had an inkling in the previous four games of how we were supposed to save Earth so I guess I can't complain about the magical solution conjured up in the last moment. I guess what bothers me most is that it purposefully ends in a cliffhanger so Ubisoft can keep making more AC games. That and it also reminds me of Clarke's "A Time Odyssey."

It was like this:
First she was an Assassin infiltrating the Templars, then she betrays Subject 16 and ends up working with the Templars, then she pretends to betray the Templars to get Desmond to find the other Pieces of Eden.
They basically tell you this in the AC:R DLC

Here's the song version.
You know what else is bad? Investing yourself in something you know is going to be a disappointment.
I swear, DA3 is the last straw, it better be ****ing epic.

I agree. But I'm used to the cliffhangers at this point. It's the best way to end a story in a series so that the audience is ready to buy the next one. Of course, this only works well if the ending is a good cliffhanger and a sequel is actually forthcoming.OdanUrr wrote...

That's why Subject 16 tells you not to trust Lucy in Assassins Creed Brotherhood
