So the AC3 ending sucks, too? Damn... Assassin's Creed was my favorite series before I discovered Mass Effect. I was hoping AC3 could redeem ME3 for me.

Oh well, I guess I'm gonna go break my Xbox now, or something...

Don't break it yet. We still have to wait for DA3

If I see one more of my favorite game series ruined by this ****ing blow up the universe/human transcendance bull**** I think I'm either going to shoot myself or become a drug dealer.

Drugs are bad, mkay

Here's the song version.

You know what else is bad? Investing yourself in something you know is going to be a disappointment.

I swear, DA3 is the last straw, it better be ****ing epic.

How have I never heard that sog before. It was awesome.

Yeah DA3 will likely be the last straw for me too

Now, I know this may be difficult, but you need to learn to identify sarcasm when you see it. And again, the post you replied to was not addressed to you, but Edolix.

But you tried it tho.

If it makes you feel better, Kenny, DA3 will likely be visually gorgeous, what with the Frostbite Engine and all.

The more of this thread I read, the more I'm glad I never played these games.

Oh well, I can still go deer hunting... with bows and arrows... The reason I pre-ordered that game!

Not necessarily. The BW Devs have never used the Frostbite engine before and have very little experience with it. It'll be a step up from the Unreal engine, but I doubt it'll be mindblowing.

@Jerkface: Never read any of his books. Don't really want to either.

Eh, the first and second were fun. Haven't played the others - but apparently they don't add much to the game. So, I think it's safe to say the first two were best in the series. Plus, who the eff likes the colonial times anyway? Boring as hell.

Not necessarily. The BW Devs have never used the Frostbite engine before and have very little experience with it. It'll be a step up from the Unreal engine, but I doubt it'll be mindblowing.

But let's be real, any step up is better than spider hands or DAII's N64 visuals. I don't expect it to look like a Medal of Honour, but it will probably be able to render water that isn't chunks of plastic.

@Jerkface: Never read any of his books. Don't really want to either.

Then you have saved yourself much headache.

That being said, to Ubisoft's credit, the historical bits are actually very well researched. It's the narrative bits that get rather suspect (it doesn't do much to make its premise even remotely feasible, either).

Atleast on PC.

I'm not that impressed with Frostbite 2. Battlefield 3 has a lot of muddled textures and I'm not amazed at all with what I've seen from Medal of Honor Warfighter?

How's Dead Space? Anyone?

Also, I'm wondering if Frostbite is going to be the death of EA games, because they're forcing practically everything they publish to have it now.

Terrific atmosphere, very solid gameplay, good-enough story to get the horror from place to place.

Perfect over Halloween.

But one thing we gotta realize...
After the slew of bad endings we've seen this year from derpy writers, at least we know one thing.

Christopher Nolan gets it.

People can be equally invested in movies too, as well as the writer making the same mistakes. I'm counting it. This year needs good endings.

Huh. I oddly like it more. Probably because I care more about the past than the future in AC, and it's not my character acting the idiot. Plus, I never really played for the story.

Eh, you can just as easily nit-pick the Rises ending as a nonsensical mess, too, using the same logic many do around these parts.

(Note: I actually really like Rises, despite its own writing flaws).
