Can't buy points...  There is nothing wrong with the info as entered, and the card is just fine.  Anyone?  And no, I'm not going to try every card I have at this site until it works.  I use 1 card online for security purposes and have no intention of deviating from that.

As a followup, be careful. I'm getting messages from people pretending to be EA employees claiming to be working on the problem, before asking for personal information. It is a scam.

Whoa, thanks for the warning. And I hope they fix this problem soon. Made a topic about this just not long ago.

Same problem for me. Says "my credit card can not be verified". An hour ago I booked a flight with the same card though, without a problem. So I suppose something is wrong with their verification of credit cards...

BioWare need to know about that sort of thing. Send a message to a moderator about it, and keep the messages in your inbox as a record of what you've received, including usernames.

report anyone asking for personal information to moderators - anyone phishing for information WILL be banned and reported to EA.

Hello all,

Try this when you enter lockbox to buy points, if you have a really long street address, shorten it down. It seems the billing software has a char limit of 50.

I had the same problem. But it was my fault, of course. I typed the account number with spaces between individual sets of numbers like I used to do when subscribing my WoW account. Then I tried again without the gaps and voilá - it worked.

Maybe it helps.

As yet another followup, I have been contacted by folks who I do, now, believe are legitimately attempting to fix this issue. The unfortunate aspect of this is that they have not been given 'official' handles here at the social site, despite being legitimate. Big mistake, but methinks that will be rectified soon.

But just so everyone knows, they ARE working this problem. BTW, those still having problems, are you using IE8? What about any firewalls, like Kaspersky?

For people having problem, what DanKATL posted was a genuine solution. At least, it worked for me. Have Warden's Keep bought and Stone Prisoner from my CE already.

The long address deal isn't my issue, unfortunately.

I've also attempted a different card, despite my earlier refusal. Same error. I also tried deactivating my firewall, but that didn't help either.

I just need Warden's Keep.  That's it.  Got the rest with the CE.

Still not working for me either. I am using Mastercard btw. Everything is input 100% right. No too long names either.

P.S.: My billing address is in Germany, but I am atm in another country. Wondered if they may check the country´s ip you are sending from, which would have to fit to the billing address for some reason!?

That was one of the issues Dan suggested. If your EA account, billing address and IP aren't from the same country, that might cause the error.

Thats why I use paypal. Many billing services have problems with russian cards, but paypal accepts them just fine.

Frostaxt, that could indeed be your issue.

EA Nucleus uses a geolocation for your IP. If that differs from the billing account location, it can be rejected.

foodeater, please send me the email address you use to sign into this site.

Do not send me any other type of personal data, such as passwords, I don't need it.

My EA account is in Singapore but I attempted to get my points while I'm in Australia using an Australian card. Could this be causing a problem with the card could not be verified thing?

Any way around it?

That could indeed.

Try going to profile.ea.com and updating your account to match your billing/IP info.
