Ok. I finally figured out how to get my card verified, and this will probably work for most of you as well. BUT... only if you have a Visa or Mastercard. This is how you do it. You need to access your bank, either via internet or in person, and get your card "verified by Visa/Mastercard SecureCode." That is, if you haven't already. Then I have nothing. I came across this information on a whim, so it was surprising that it actually worked.

However, it still won't work to buy points on the Bioware Checkout page for some mind-boggingly stupid reason because now you're getting "your transaction was rejected" messages instead. It didn't work for me anyway, might work for others. But EA Store more than happily accepts your money, so it's ok! (See if that makes any sense to the rest to you. It didn't to me. Still don't.)

Try it!

This solution worked for me. Thanks a lot!

Well, I don't mind spend an extra buck or two, but the bioware points on ea store is 'unavailable'.

not only "Credit card could not be verified" but I also tested PayPal and there we got "Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists, please contact customer support." now I tested both metods several times without success! guess the only option left is to buy bioware points from EA Store --__--

edit: hmm verified my card now everything works perfectly :)

Uhm... These 1 dollar pre-purchase fees... what is it? They don't take those 1 dollars out of my bank account? or Should I ask to EA to get those dollars back?

I'm also unable to buy bioware points...but I have a question : Are the EA account and BioWare account somehow connected? I'm from Serbia and my country isn't on EAs list (for some reason) so I selected Slovakia because I'm Slovak. But when I fill my billing address when buying points from Biowares site, Serbia is on the list!!! Is my card being rejected because my country from my billing address doesn't match with my EA account??? (on my Bioware account I have Serbia selected)

The credit card could not be verified

I have no clue what to do, refused time and time again; I'm trying to get Kasumi dlc for ME2 and the process is killing me.

What do I have to do to buy BW points? Beg on my KNEES for someone to take my money?

Have you tried doing this? Worked for me and another to verify. Perhaps it will for you as well.

Are you talking about CSC number (3 digits?) if so, I have it on the back of my card - still no go.
EDIT:
After some elaborate thinking, asking and whatnot I discovered taht my internet account (bank) had not activated internet transactions. Shame they dont tell you to check for this in the first place - untill you need it you dont know whether its active or not. Now it is. And it works.
Sorry for the fuss....

My card is verified by Visa from the moment I received it in bank, but when I try to purchase points I get this message:

"The payment method's billing address doesn't match your registration country. Please confirm your offer selection."

The "issue" seems to be back. Any fix in sight? This is annoying.

I demand free points for my trouble.

I know my card is active, because I've used it to make purchases on Amazon. Why are they rejecting my Visa gift card?

I have the same problem, damn

my creditcard is from Hong Kong, but right now i am staying in Canada for couple months

since i read someone said the IP address is very sensitive, i guess that's the reason for the whole "Credit card could not be verified" thing.

Anyway, so how can i buy the Bioware point then? this is bugging me,i really wanna play the DLC

Card cannot be verified...same problem here. I had a live chat with bioware and they told me to check my bank, and that my account has no flag, but looking at this thread, it is clear who has problems...

I also have the same problem.

I live in Finland and the card details worked fine with blizzard and steam, but what really boggels
my mind is the fact that i tried to buy 2 times 1600 points (and clicked a few extra times because it says "card not verified") and now i have 90€ bill waiting in my bank.

Fun times <3

PS: My Electron works on internet purchase as i have used it on steam and blizzard store.

Same, card cannot be verified and when using the card through PayPal I get the "try again in a few minutes" message. I'm not going through the EA Store because it's 50% more expensive. This is the card I use for pretty much everything.

I tried Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express....

All of them could not be verified. :S

This error is a huge problem that Bioware should be addressing. Not only is it making us, the community, frustrated, but it is also cutting back on THEIR profits. I am willing to give my money to Bioware, makers of GREAT games, so that I can download more content. I cant do that, however, if my cards keep getting rejected!

And I don't think it has to do with the bank, because I've used all of the cards to purchase online elsewhere from sites like Amazon, KLM Airlines, even Steam.

Come on Bioware!!!

Upon further investigation, it seems it is directly related to the fact that I also cannot access the EA store, was going to pay for the pricer points just to play some DLC, but it doesnt even load on any brower from multiple internet connections( 3g, cablevision, verizon DLC(neighbors wireless)

I bought my points from EA's store and it worked fine. Allowed me to download all the content and start kicking ass right away.
I read that the EA store was more expensive, but I found that except for the added taxes, the price is the same as from the Bioware page.

Here is a link for 1600 points...

Those cost 19 euro there! Thats goddamn 5 euro more than on BioWare social site. Cba to pay such price for 1600 points. I will wait calmly for BioWare to fix this problem and if it won't happen I will just wait for Dragon Age 2 :/
