This is clearly a problem on BioWare's site and is impacting many people. It's a shame they can't just admit it and say "we're working on this" - instead they blame cc providers or treat us like we're 5year olds who can't type in their address right.

I got a response to my email from Jong Chua at the Bioware store.  Despite the fact that we're buying Bioware points the whole thing is administered by EA.  So if anyone else wants to raise a ticket they need to go to

http://help.dragonage.com/

Although I suspect I will get a similar response to the one above me ^^

Yes, EA online services have been known to function marginally badly for a very long time now. They don't even administer the system themselves; that's done by Digital River which doesn't exactly inspire that much confidence either. So, if there's a glitch in the system EA is very, VERY limited in its capacity to solve problems.

It's a screwy way of doing things and I hope that BioWare will eventually do the right thing and push for redeemable DLC-codes that could be purchased elsewhere. That way EA could still continue to save money by *not* fixing the problem and the rest of us would finally be satisfied.

I'm an USA citizen currently in Singapore, and getting the "can not be verified" message. While my IP and my CC billing address doesn't match, I'm not about to go out and get a new Singapore CC just for the sake of one DLC for one game. Nobody uses/needs CC in Singapore.

I guess I'll try the Paypal route later, since I do have an existing Paypal account (which I haven't used for years and years). But if that doesn't work either, then Bioware just lost easy money from me for this DLC and all future DLCs.

Edit: Same thing... "You billing address is different from your country of registration" and "Transaction could not be processed."  Paypal doesn't work for me either.

Finally got a message from support (after 8 or so e-mails) saying that the problem is "more complex then we expected and we will investigate it". $&*% this. Just got my points using PayPal and I recomend that everyone having problems with CC do this as well. It's a lot less pain. Now I'm praying that I won't have problems actually buying the DLC...

Same problem here. I live in Gujarat India, and my IP is in Mumbai since it is the major Gateway. I work on a 2 MBPS line and in my state, local company outlets provide Mumbai IP, I have no choice over that.

However, my billing address remains the same as in my credit card address, and there is no way I can change that or willing to change that for that would be falsification.

I am a professional 3d artist and content writer, buy thousands of dollars worth of stuff every month for my projects through the same visa gold card from US, UK, and sites from all other countries.

My kudos to Bioware for being able to fail to accept visa gold, visa netsafe, visa electron, and ultimately my business paypal account, each of which is accepted everyday by vendors throughout the world without any rejection ever.

EA is one of a kind. Truly exceptional even in terms of failure of service, they manage to fail where nobody else does.

Posted this on the forum for I do not believe in contacting customer service. Don't have the time or patience for that. I myself work day in and day out for several companies and run my own small operation. Serving the customer and follow up is my duty. I do not put the onus on the customer who is under no fault. EA should learn something from companies like Daz3d of how true customer service is provided.

And this game reminds me too much of a repatched Summoner. Anybody ever played Summoner by THQ?

I understand the IP conflicting with billing info. But serve in the Army and have an state side addresse while serving overseas.....will I just have to wait untill I get home? Steam had no issue when I first bought the game.

Well, to add insult on top of injury, I found 20 + 20 = 40 USD gone from my credit card account. One transaction I tried direct and the other through Paypal. In both cases the transactions show "rejected" status by Bioware, though every particular given is correct.

So, my money is gone from my account, I have not received any points, as far as bioware is concerned they reject me as a customer (but may be they do not reject my money since it is gone).

ONE DAY AFTER I MAKE A POST ON THIS FORUM I RECEIVE A MAIL IN MY INBOX WITH A LINK TO CLICK IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS WITH PAYMENT PROCESSING. ONLY THE LINK NEVER WENT ANYWHERE BUT BROUGHT ME BACK TO THE SAME PAGE. THE SIGNAL WAS CLEAR, KEEP MOVING IN CIRCLES.

I buy content very regularly, I own two sites www.cafeanimate.com and www.clonerscafe.com for artists to share machinima and videos.

I also happen to be the content manager for one of the best Indian e-commerce sites www.Infibeam.com. You can check out our status in Alexa, we are among the first 1000 sites in the world and we built that within two years.

Right now we are going strong on books and consumer goods, but have started an initial department for video games. However, before we post products of any vendor we make purchases from that vendor ourselves and find out their service standards. It is not possible for us to handle thousands of customer complaints because the source vendor is sloppy.

Going by my own experience, I am thankful that we have not yet tried to negotiate with local dealers and add EA games to our catalogue for our clients. Gaining a customer is very hard, and we do not want to lose them.

For EA I believe, sustaining customers is not so important as getting them to buy in the first place, since this problem has gone on long enough without solutions. If we were handling it within our own company, we would have solved it first of all, for it would be top priority. Customer service is the most important thing for any business. I fail to see why EA does not agree, at least in action.

Or maybe EA is recruiting customer service from the back alleys of Denerim:)

I also found the message from social.bioware absent in my Inbox when I went to see today.

You'd think people not being able to buy stuff from them would be a very important issue for EA.

how about a visa gift card, will those work at all?

I've tried running a Visa gift card several times, and it gives me the same mindless response of it being rejected. Without a clear explanation of why or how to fix it aside from using a different card. I'd really like it if the customer support people didn't screw us over. It makes me feel as though I may need to advise everyone I can that despite the quality of the games, the customer support and usability of various additional features is dismal and is a frustrating and disheartening experience. No paying customer should put up with this sort of treatment.

It's actually enough to make me wonder if looking for games from EA and Bioware is worth the hassle of tying to get the DLC I want. To say the least, I'm sorely disappointed.

I'm very angry at how EA treats its customers. Funny thing is - I was able to buy points needed to obtain Warden's Keep with no problem. But now my credit card is being rejected. Only one DLC per customer? FFS

I spent 2 hours already talking with useless crappy EA support. They all give the same `problem is more complex and will be escalated` and senior support just reply the same `we do not care` sh*t.

Wow... I started this baby 3 months ago and there are STILL problems? I haven't been back to the game since, but it seems when I do, I likely STILL won't be able to buy points I guess is what it amounts to? Was hoping to play some DLC, but I guess not.

Hey everybody! Thought I'd give an update on my situation hope it helps some folks!

I noticed on here that everybody had filled out profile info. Well I hadn't. So I went in and did so. But

when I did I put United States of America as my location. Still couldn't buy points. After I finished

pulling my hair out I noticed that in the drop down for location on the credit card info location just

said United States. SO!!!!!, I went back into my profile and changed my location to match. IT WORKED!!! YAY! So, if this helps someone I'm really glad. My advice is to check everything 2 or 3

times to make sure it all matches. And thanks for the help you've all given me.

you would think bioware would put more pressure on ea to handle this...if this thread was made 3 months ago, and this is all the response we have from bioware, I am highly disappointed :\\

I have the same problem

To download both Wardens Keep and The Stone Prisoner i have to add 1760 points. The first two transactions worked fine but with the third tranaction i get the error message "Credit card could not be verified"

That´s strange because i used the same CC for the three transactions

This sucks big time!!

I have had the same problem ever since the DLC were released. My CC cant get verified.

I cant believe EA has not done anything yet to fix this. Its been 4 months almost and still no action.

This is ridiculous not being able to purchase any dlc yet, this has taken to damn loooooooong freakin time!
