I can't make any purchases, but my bank is reporting the charges as pending.

Figured I'd post over here as well as in the Mass Effect 2 Tech Support section, but there seems to be a decent sized amount of people still experiencing this problem. Trying various cards and having them all be denied. It's very frustrating.

Posted in the other thread, might as well add my voice to this one. Tried all of the listed tips, still get the verification error on all of my credit cards. I've had zero issues on just about any other site.

Thought I would give the new DLC a shot and then I get the same issue. Tried different cards with no success. I sure hope EA is not charging for the failed attempts!

Ever considered Google checkout? Incredibly smooth process even though I'm quite skeptical about Google.

I've got these 1 dollar pre-purchase fees on my card, but my card issuer is saying bioware hasn't actually taken the damn 7 dollars yet. D:

I've been posting in the other thread about this same problem. I am also experiencing the same issue as curly haired boy (with the fees). However, my card still cannot be verified after, maybe, 4 tries. Come on EA, Bioware, whoever. Please fix this or your new DLC will not sell as well as it could.

Posting in this thread too, I've got the same problem, which is odd since I am just now getting this problem after being able to buy points for Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar. My bank is showing the 1 dollar prepurchase fees but nothing else. More information would be useful.

Just talked to someone from EA support. He said they were working on the site's debit/credit problems and that the 1 dollar charges would dissapear in a couple of days.

Well, today I decided to use a card I didn't really want to use(because it doesn't have a lot of funds in it) and actually got it to go through. It was a Visa, the one I wanted to use was a Mastercard. Happy me!

*The DLC is rather short btw, but fun.

Geez, even Steam has better customer service and people still say they're crappy in the forums...

Yeah. kinda got the same treatment for my response. I guess they've been busy fighting fires with us customers not being able to get a bundle of space currency.

Things like this just make me upset, a developping company like Bioware who is promising so much downloadable addons should at least give us a way to purchase them? EA and Bioware should be living up to expectations, and what I perceive as truly odd is that they haven't perfected a way to get our money? In all honesty, isn't that the most important factor of well, any job? I don't know. I'm just dissapointed.

The DLCs are only intended for the community, I guess. Well, at least my wallet rejoices. :)

So when are we going to get any confirmation that Bioware has even acknowledged the problem?

I'm having the same gosh darn problem. It looks like that this problem is mainly compunded among people outside the US, 'cause I ain't no yank too. It wouldn't be soo bad if they could gave us a alternative way of purchase, like buying it off steam or something.

Same issue. Tried with two cards.

I'm not making any more attempts in case I'm charged repeatedly for invisible banana dollars.

I'm suffering from the same problem. Type it in, double, nay, triple-check all the information, and it still won't verify. I've been cautionary not to type it in at the checkout page when I googled about it later having it failed twice to verify that you could get charged for repeated attempts. And when I did check my bank account, I'd gotten a preliminary charge of one dollar. Tried it tirelessly, however, at the manage billing accounts page, until after about ten to fifteen tries after trying about several different ways, not being in the game, using capital letters, etc. It's just a no go.

Which is odd, since it's working pretty much everywhere else. And the most curious thing of all is that it works on the Xbox LIVE Homepage when you're buying downloadable content for Mass Effect 2 *and* Dragon Age: Origins. But for the Xbox360, obviously. Why there but not here? Strange.

Ok. I finally figured out how to get my card verified, and this will probably work for most of you as well. BUT... only if you have a Visa or Mastercard. This is how you do it. You need to access your bank, either via internet or in person, and get your card "verified by Visa/Mastercard SecureCode." That is, if you haven't already. Then I have nothing. I came across this information on a whim, so it was surprising that it actually worked.

However, it still won't work to buy points on the Bioware Checkout page for some mind-boggingly stupid reason because now you're getting "your transaction was rejected" messages instead. It didn't work for me anyway, might work for others. But EA Store more than happily accepts your money, so it's ok! (See if that makes any sense to the rest to you. It didn't to me. Still don't.)

Try it!

EA Store is more expensive, with about 7,5 EUR more, for 1600 Bioware Points. So EA Store is a no go. Besides, I want to pay Bioware directly, not through EA.

Btw, my problem is "card could not be verified", I am from the EU.
