Granted it has ben a while Monkey but we should keep in mind that when a game is released it's the publisher that lists the date, Now by issues of a patch, it's my understanding (or at least game companies I have worked for) some issues can't be fixed in time or maybe they didn't find it etc so the test and make a patch then it goes for testing again, then that patch itself needs to pass submission a second time. That's something the PC game in itself doesn't have to do, since it's just the user on their system not a proprietary console,
so when you look at it that way it hasn't been that long

Or, another way to look at it. Gearbox has patched the xbox version of borderlands 3 times since its release. Two of those patches had major fixes to the game in them. Considering the amount of feedback EA/BW has had in this forum, not to mention why they didn't pick up some of the basic glitches in Q&A, you have to wonder whether they have just left us to rot.

So you will not play DAO but you will max level a character on S2 which got more bugs and glitches i can think of. And no, ME2 will come later. The patch is intended to come January 5th, same date as the new DLC will come. Thats their plan.
I have had no problems with S2 on my Xbox, I have not come across any bugs or glitches. DA:O on the other hand...

Could you address the issues?
Now, comparing with Borderlands 3 patches, i will agree with you, but Dragon Age is a prime example of a port-support-game. This game is mainly built for the PC while Borderlands, well, i would say that they targeting the xbox. The game itself camed first to the consoles, and the patches and DLC first to the xbox.

Well, you have bailed the ship for DAO while i bailed the ship with S2, both with the same reason, no fixing. The only different is that DAO is getting patches while S2 is not. Not to mention the lack of support with DLC.

True. Your right though. Ascaron is no more, so at least there is a chance DA:O is salvagable. There is no DLC for S2 on the xbox or have I missed something?

I must be the one person in the world to have purchased a gold copy of the game because everyone says it is broken. Must have been a beta or even an alpha that went to press.
Complaining about the same thing repeatedly is like banging your head against a wall trying to change reality. You only change you and the rest of us laugh at you.
Can we just wait for the patch and then start ****in and moaning anew?

Or you could stop reading and posting in these threads if you have nothing else to contribute. The only laughing stock here is you QQing over a thread about people QQing over the state of the game and the patch. If you have nothing wrong with your game why even bother to read these threads in the first place? Unless you enjoy sounding like a sanctimonious ******.

After all, this is the board for technical support issues not the board for ****ing and moaning impotently.
Unless I am reading the title of the board wrong where it in fact says "Dragon Age: Origins - Dragon Age: Origins Xbox 360 Technical Support:
Complaining about a patch that isn't here isn't exactly asking for help with a specific technical issue. If you want to address a particular issue post it like most others do rather than whining about how you are returning the game and being done with it while still coming back to whine some more about a game you shouldn't even have in your possession at this time. I mean really, what do you contribute by cutting and pasting your canned responses about getting rid of the game? That's right nothing. Unless you consider adding gas to a fire a contribution.
That said, to the OPer, just give it to the 5th before you do anything rash. The game is great if you can get past any bugs you come across.

-Fix Shale
-Fix warden commanders armor
-fix the stealing skill (when you steal, have the time it says stealing succes but no item
-fix items that Dog can get (same problem with stealing)
-big quest breakers (paragon of her kind for example)
-some items are not in the game, nor some quest
-The Dex bug (this makes Rouge imposeable to play)
-the poisen/trap asrrow not working
These are major bugs that hamper the game very badly and these have to be fixed ASAP.

I read them to lend a hand to those who have actual problems or technical issues that we may be able to help with.
So, let me get this straight.
Your sarcastic comments about being the only one who owns a gold copy of the game, while everyone else must have gotten a beta or alpha is "helping"?
I can quote various other posts from you, dripping with sarcasm, that "help" in a similar vein.
Do us all a favor, and try not to "help" so much.

When you say fix shale can you be more specific as to what you see is broken?
Also what problems are you having with the commander armor?
The stealing success is relatively minor if it is telling you you are succeeding when there isn't anything to steal. I mean I never checked if you get xp from it but if you do it is nice to have the ability to go through someones pockets for lint considered a success
The big quest breakers I agree should be taken care of.
Missing items again are an oversight but not a top priority.
The dex bug doesn't make a rogue useless. I have completed the game a few times with a rogue and they work well enough if you don't rely on armor penetration (and daggers)
As for those arrows, an oversight but not game breaking.
But all in all, the priorities need to be looked into. Game-play or game-breaking issues should have a higher priority over achievements. The triage shouldn't be based on first come but rather severity of the problem. The problems showed up close enough together that the patch shouldn't have gotten so far on the achievements that they couldn't have set it aside to work on the real issues. But meh.
Kylearan,
The sarcastic comments is in response to the whining and moaning. Since actual questions and concerns aren't raised there is nothing to be helped with except to school a few of you twits as to proper etiquette when it comes to resolving conflict and problems. For every non-helpful comment you could find I can provide +1 that is making an attempt to help.
Do you believe your "Me too!" is helpful to anyone here besides the original whiner? Doubtful. Add something worth considering or an original idea to be considered and perhaps just perhaps people might take you seriously enough to give you credibility and who knows, they may actually listen to what you have to say.
You go and have a nice day now

Ah, the hypocrite speaks again.
Etiquette? Maturity? You may think you have it, but when it comes right down to it, you are severly lacking. Any time your blind, pro-Bioware/EA point of view is challenged, you resort to condescension, sarcasm, and name-calling. You believe you're above it all, when really, you dwell in the muck with the rest of us.
Do you really believe your judgmental, holier-than-thou point of view is somehow original and worthwhile to anybody but yourself? You are surely oblivious to reality.
What you continuously fail to understand, is that the people on this forum, that you look down your nose at, were once as faithful to Bioware as you purport to be. But they are frustrated by a game and company that has appeared to let them down.
Game-stopping bugs, two months without a patch, and a lack of helpful dialogue from Bioware staff in this forum, leads people to believe that they have been abandoned...that the company they've grown up with, and come to love, appears to have become just another unfeeling, corporate entity. They need a place to vent, and this forum has become this place. Right or wrong, they believe that bringing up these problems and voicing their displeasure will force Bioware to act. Your attempts to instruct people on proper forum etiquette is pointless when emotion is involved, and frankly, it serves only to make you look like a patronizing, self-serving, know-it-all.
You've made it clear many times (rubbed it in, really), that you've had a nearly flawless game experience. You've questioned and doubted those who haven't. Is this truly helpful? If you had any sense of empathy at all, you'd stick to helping and stuff your opinions.
But, I guess that's what happens when one's head is so far up the collective backsides of EA/Bioware, that one starts to suffer from oxygen deprivation.
It's amazing really. Even your avatar looks like a self-important, blusterous jerk. I guess it's just who you are.
Thank god Bioware implemented a block button. *Activating now*
Oh, and you have an equally nice day

Don't forget the submission process they make a patch to fix the issues it has to be submitted to MS and Sony before it comes out on a console.

Theres no excuse for the patch taking this long, even if you have to get certification it still does not take two months to gfet a patch out. Also if all this patch does is fix the achievment glitch and some minor stuff then I will be didapointed, Bioware needs to fix this.

None whatsoever eh?
what if sony or microsoft in our case bounced the patch?
Is that still ea/bio/edge's fault/

Here is a fact for you: EA has issues and so does Bioware. I never stated otherwise. All corporations have issues.
Do bugs suck? Yep. Are you trying to help answer questions? Nope.
The staff HAS posted a patch is in the works. If that isn't enough to sate your definition of dialogue that is a personal issue. With all the dreck they have to muddle through here it takes even longer to find and deal with legitimate beefs. As stated THIS IS NOT THE GOD DAMN OFFICIAL SUPPORT FORUM. Get it through your retarded skull. You want OFFICIAL go to the proper areas otherwise you have no reason to ****, moan, whine, cry, postulate, grab a damn pitchfork, etc.
"They" who choose to appropriately seek help aren't the issue. The issue is in folks like you who think spamming the boards with the same garbage that doesn't help a damn thing in the wrong place. Emotion should also be reserved for non-public places unless you wish to incur the response you whine about receiving. Otherwise you can't complain if you don't like what you hear.
Don't like things as much as you make it appear? Return the game and leave the boards to those that do.
I do intend to have a nice day. I say what I mean and mean what I say. If you can't handle cold hard truth perhaps you should get off your mommy's computer and leave the posting to the adults who can form a coherent thought that is relevant to the situation at hand.
Buh bye!

I agree and disagree with you.
I think alot of the problem in it self stems with
player finds a bug and posts bug
other players post the same bug
But no one has documented the bug and the situational basis that it happened in,
