Sorry, edited it above, meant to say "how many 70 year old women do you know that 'give birth' to children"
Sorry for the confusion.
Does she say somewhere in game she has a kid? I'm almost through five playthroughs and she has never once made mention of having a child.
Yeah she talks about how she had to give him up.
Edit - got my convos all screwed up like and idoit.

It's in a conversation between her and Alistair. You don't get to take part. Just hear it.

So it wasn't me being short-sighted, the comment where she says it has never come up for me, so i didn't know. (and I have gotten Wynne to 80+ approval on all my play-throughs except one where I killed her - so weird it never came up)

* Wynne: Why thank you, Alistair. I am quite touched. I like you, too, Alistair. I imagine my son would have grown up to be someone like you.
* Alistair: Your son? I thought you said you were never married?
* Wynne: That's true. I never have been.
* Alistair: I... oh. Then this wasn't... before you joined the circle?
* Wynne: I joined the Circle at the age of nine. So, no. Do you still like me?
* Alistair: Err... yes? Why wouldn't I?
* Wynne: Good. It appears you got away from the Chantry just in time.

Of course she had sex, she told me that "she had fun". but never was it mentioned to my character, or around my character (Wynne talking to Alistair that she had a child). So for all I knew, Wynne didn't have a child. So from my understanding, if she was to have a child, then she would have to have one when she was 70+ years old. Most women at that age are barren. So that is why I laughed.
In no way am I saying she could not have a child when she was younger, but since no mention was ever made of it in any of my playtime I assumed she didn't have one.

* Wynne: What would make you think I have any children at all? You have to know I've spent most of my life in the Circle of Magi.
* Alistair: You just seem like the grandmotherly type to me, I don't know.
* Wynne: I suppose I'll take that as a comment on my demeanor and not my age.
* Alistair: Mages aren't forbidden to marry or anything, are they? It's not such an outlandish question.
* Wynne: Isn't it? What sort of man would marry a mage, do you think?
* Alistair: How about another mage? There are just as many men as there are women within the Circle, as I recall.
* Wynne: That sort of union is... not encouraged. Although that does not stop us from seeking out each other's... company from time to time.
* Alistair: I... all right, suddenly you don't seem quite so grandmotherly to me anymore.
* Wynne: Good. I would hope not.
* Alistair: So you... mentioned you had a son? What happened to him?
* Wynne: I honestly don't know, Alistair. He was... taken from me. Such births are seldom, as there are ways to prevent it, but it does happen. And any child born to a Circle mage belongs to the Chantry.
* Alistair: I... didn't know. I'm sorry.
* Wynne: It's all right. It was a long time ago. A very long time ago.
* Alistair: Couldn't you do something about it?
* Wynne: Do what? I was weak from the birthing process and there were... no, there was nothing I could do.
* Alistair: Do you think about him?
* Wynne: All the time.

Thanks for that Kerridan, not sure why it has never come up.
Actually, I have never had Wynne and Alistair have a conversation while running around. Alistair and Wynne always talk to the other characters, but never to each other. Guess I am just unlucky in my random chance.

I don't think you talked to Wynne often enough or had her in your party. She indicates she did have a kid at some point.

Yup, never had any of that come up before. Weird.
But anyway I apologized already.
So, as the angry character voice would say "Can I get you a ladder so you can get off my back!":wizard:

First playthrough I killed her.
Second playthrough I got her to 73ish approval, but was never in my party.
Third Playthrough I got her to 89 approval and she was in my party all the time with Alistair, but they never talked to each other (as I mentioned).
Fourth playthrough she was in my party for the entirety of the game, but Alistair was not.
Fifth playtrhough she is in my party with Alistair and they have never talked.

You can try to trigger them in certain areas. I think one place is the bridge that connects the Provings but I think you have to "phase" out of the area then come back in. So you might not get them in order so to speak.
Yup, and I always run over them constantly (usually outside of Orzammar to the left of the stone dais - zoning in and out of Orzammar to hear everything) but it has never come up, no idea why.

Alastair and Warden both dead either from sacrifice or the calling, Wardog gone with them
Leliana died after having another vision that she should remain with the warden (even if they were just only friends)
Sten gone back to homeland (ok possible could return but am basing my theory on next installment taking place 30 years time)
Wynne gone to the maker
Zevran gone back to Antiva, probably dead by now
Shale either up in Tevinter Imperium or eventually got turned into rubble down in the deep roads
Oghren married Felsi with kids and stuck in Ferelden
New Game/New PC/New territory/New evil that must be defeated and it ain't Morrigan and/or the god child and New PC isn't god child either.
Just my opinion

Along with plenty of other goodies such as a Qunari invasion of Ferelden which must be resolved before Alistair/Anora can send troops to aid in this task. Where we meet Sten once more but this time on the battlefield.
Of course this wont happen because I am a mere fan who could only dream to be involved in such a project and Bioware has plenty of top notch writers, who I trust not to disappoint

The only characters who should return are the PC and Morrigan... Im hoping the sequel will be along the lines of the PC tracking down Morrigan through the mountains and into Orlais where they are reunited after Flemeth catches up with Morrigan (perhaps the PC senses her to be in distress and calling for him/her to aid her through the ring) to take revenge but instead takes the god child for herself to do her evil biddingresulting in the PC and Morrigan joining forces to stop the horror they created from entering and destroying Ferelden with its army of something bad maybe a return of the darkspawn under Flemeth occupied god child.

Exactly how would that work if Alistair was the father?

It would be funny to see if Calian had a bastard in the sequel ha ha
That it would, and you know what, I could believe it.
SPOILER FROM FIRST BOOK!
That and to find out if Maric did sleep with Flemeth, and out popped Morrigan, who may have slept with Alistair to produce Old God baby
END SPOILER FROM FIRST BOOK!
