Please complete 1 more survial medal where you either die or extract at the end of the match.

Nope we can't because people have 7/8 right now, so if we lowered it you would be at 7/7 but not complete.

Logic is not based on 7/8 it is based on taking the 8 highest children and taking the average to determine if it should show up as "unlocked" since technically you are at 100% for 8 the system states it is unlocked. But when survivor is completed it isnt incrementing the number to be 8/8 (the issue as it was)

My Commando banner progress says that ive completed 4 of 12 challenges. In the fact, i completed 6 of 12, check my manifest for prove. Either return my time (you cant do that), or fix it.

We fixed it a couple weeks ago.

Play 1 wave with the Havoc and 1 wave with the ghost

With all due respect, I could say the same to you. 'No Sorry,' is a bit lacking when there are at least 10 people that I know of who are being kept from unlocking the 'Mass Effect' banner because of the glitch with the 'Survival Medals.' I can assure you, as I am one of those people, many, many hours went into completing the requirements to unlock that banner. And therefore updates consisting of more than 'no sorry,' doesn't seem like an unreasonable expectation to me.

An update consisting of answers to any, and ideally all of the following questions would be appreciated, and I believe, warranted:

1) What is preventing the survival medals glitch from being fixed?
 
2) What is preventing you from adding another challenge to 'Squad Elite,' which is completable to enable it to unlock that and for some the 'Mass Effect' banner? Since sub-challenges, (children?) have been added in every ballance change, including tomorrow's, what prevents you from adding one to Squad Elite?

3) Are you even working on a fix at all, or are you just going to let it go and make it take 6 weekend events to unlock 'Squad Elite?'

4) If you are working on a fix, what is preventing you from giving an ETA for that fix? With the 'E' in ETA standing for 'Estimated,' I don't think anyone, including myself would hold it against you if it wasn't exact.

Taking a few minutes of your time to answer any or all of these questions will foster much more good will from the players who are having this glitch prevent them from unlocking the main banner. I can assure you it will foster more good will than, 'No Sorry.'

Was that constructive enough for ya?

Edit:    And I appologize if you don't like my inquiries, but you'll have to take that up with EA Customer/Technical support who said I had to contact someone from BioWare about this because although they'd like to fix it,, they were technically unable to do so. So since you posted messages on this board about this issue, you were the person from BioWare I contacted; as EA instructed I do. I only started to post on this thread when you requested that people do so instead of sending you PM's.

1) Finding the exact cause
2) That is a design decision, I am QA so it's up to design
3) I have spent about 4 hours personally investigating it
4) As I am not the one who is either making decision decisions, or fixing the issue. I can not give an eta because it is out of my hands.

I appreciate, and am sympathetic to the situation you find yourself in given the answers you provided. However, I do have 1 final question based on one of your answers, that I'd greatly appreciate if you would also answer.

If the decison to add a completable sub-challenge to 'Squad Elite' is not yours to make, would you let me know whose decision it is, or ask them to respond to us all on this thread. If I can hear an answer to that question or find the correct person to ask, I for one will not have any reason to continue to post on this thread, or take up any more of your time.

Alright I was able to get a programmer to help me investigate this, we found the cause. I have put potential fix together, and is now going to testing.

ETA might be as early as tomorrow's balance changes

This is now fixed you need to get 1 more survival medal for it to unlock successfully.

You need to finish the match and not quit out, ie dying or extracting.

Thanks Bryan but I do have one question. Is this challenge supposed to reset itself once you achieve it or is it a one time deal? I have completed the required 8 challenges and received the banner but none of the silver challenges done to aquire it have reset.

Squad Elite NOT fixed.
It now says I've completed it, and I got the +1 to the mass effect banner, but now it says 8/8 and none of the medals reset.
This is Geth/Combat Mastery bug all over again :-(

It is fixed, not all the challenges are repeatable

You also need to actually get a survivor medal

Just completed the entire Squad Elite and got the banner... but the challenge didn't reset like others.  Is that supposed to happen or will it reset after completing weekend challenges?
