My Femshep's Omni Blade is broken, too. It still stays on her arm, but the clip snapped.

I have the DC Direct Mass Effect figures. One of those came with Thane, the other with Miranda. Widow, Mantis, Phalanx, Claymore, all came with the toys in that line. They work with the Play Arts toys well enough, despite the difference in scale.

Comics shops are expecting their orders of Tali February 27 (subject to vagaries of Diamond shipping). The Femshep figure was solicited in the same catalog but I don't know if it had the same ship date.

It does. Domestic sources will get theirs in 6-8 weeks, those of us who have ours already got them directly from Japan.

Friggin hell, can hardly believe it works this well! I guess the pistols work best as I've always found those a bit on the big side in ME. Nice going.

Thanks!
The pistols seem a bit on the small-ish side when you compare them to the ginormous pistols in-game, but they suit the figure's hands perfectly. The only one that I'm iffy on is the Mantis, everything else seems to "fit" with the Play Arts scale.

But with it, you can embellish one of my favorite scenes on the Citadel!

LOL! +1 for that! Though the sniper is just that tad bit too small. Actually, the head sculpt of femshep looked much better on the fair displays than it does now unfortunately.

MAN I hope that if either Legion or Thane is released, they'll carry either the widow or the mantis (or the viper actually). I'm a bit disappointed they chose to give the Shep's that specific new n7 logoed weaponry, I never used that in the game. In fact I literally had to check in game after I saw the figure what kindof weapons they were.

If only there was a chance Wrex could get released, a play arts version of any Krogan would be massively brutal.
I think if this line gets many releases I'll go for a "race display" with one from every big race. Imagine a display with Tali, Thane, Liara, Wrex, Garrus, Shepard/Miranda/Jack/Ashley (or whichever human you prefer) and Legion! Such an awesome ME representation. *daydreams*

Damnit! I gotta go back to work, lol.

I'm hoping for Wrex and he can join Ashley and Garrus in Gangham Style poses

I put Garrus on all fours and Ashley in the "hey sexy lady" (sexy alien in Garrus' case) admiring his bum

Her face is prettier than my crappy camera makes it seem. And yeah, versions of figures months from release displayed at toy shows are often hand painted prototypes. It's often more flattering than factory paint. I've posted these here already, but if they help give you a better idea:

And yeah, I don't use the N7 weapons, either.

I think I had much better lighting in the first pic I posted in this thread. It's a fairly big step up from the facial sculpts from wave one. It's not perfect, but it's at least passable. I think, anyway.

Also, I *really* want a Wrex, too. But since these are Mass Effect 3 toys, I suspect that squadmates will take priority.

(Didn't requote the whole post as to not fill the whole board with duplicate images.)

I'm amazed how well the Claymore fits! Damn, that thing has to be way oversized for the 7" figures. Thanks for the images.

I'm not really keen on getting Shepard him/herself, but you made me doubt there for a sec.[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie] Dunno why. For some reason I feel like "I'm Shepard" (the player) so it feels fitting to just have the squad standing there. Either way I've only got Garrus now, but I'm kinda in doubt whether I should add Ashley. Tali's nice too, but not my favorite character and I've got other useless expensive stuff to buy as well, lol.

I hope someone gets any word out on series 3 soon, but we'll probably have to wait for the toy fair in feb.

This line might feel some internal competition from the Arkham line though, they seem to be ramping up the pace on that one. (I semi-collect both.) But I'm not sure how that production priority is worked out exactly at a company like Square Enix...

Oh I'll chime in on that.

(because we've already got 5)

6. Liara
7. Thane
8. Wrex
9. Miranda
10. Saren (damn straight.)
11. Sovereign (oh I went there, I went there allright.)
12 TIM (Timmeh!!!)
13 Legion
14 Grunt

The rest I'm not gonna buy regardless, so it seems pointless to formulate an opinion on the order.

Honestly, if I've got Liara, Garrus, Wrex, Thane and Miranda, those five, I'm loaded with happiness. The rest I love too, but they're probably not important enough for me to spend so much on, not for sure anyway. The only other one I'd definitely buy IF they'd ever be so divine as to make one is Saren, or Sovereign if they'd go completely berserk.

Saren and TIM next to each other would be pretty awesome now that I think of it. Kindof a nod to the first contact war as well. Damn I'd love that.

Arkham Catwoman really tempted me, but then I saw the Anne Hathaway Catwoman figure. :o
So, I think I'll wait for that. I would get them both, but wow are these things absurdly expensive. If every figure on the above wish list was made, that's well over a thousand dollars. If the quality of the sculpt could be maintained, I'd love a 3.75 inch scale figure line instead. Then you could do vehicles as well, the Atlas, etc. That's a much more work desk friendly scale, I think.

But, my own top 5 for the Play Arts line would be:
- EDI
- Liara
- Mordin
- Wrex
- Kirrahe

Personal want list (putting aside what is actually likely):
-Mordin
-EDI
-Legion
-Kusami and but of course
-Saren
Aria and Liara can come too. Most likely Kaiden if the human face sculpting improves.

Sadly I really do think there is a snowflakes chance in hell for most of those characters though :(

@BioEvilChris Happy 2013 wondering will we c 3rd wave of #PlayArts #MassEffect3 Figures? We need #Liara #Miranda #Javik #CompleteTheSquad :)

@Burns2k I have no info, but I hope so. Agree on Liara, but not sure of Miri or Javik. Would think Kaiden more likely IMO.

Yeah I had a hard time deciding on her too. I love the TDK figures also, but I've decided I'm gonna stick with the more fantastical Arkham-verse, kinda because I collect figures as a reminiscence to my youth and as a kid I liked the fantasy-filled stuff more than live action adaptations. And I can't (and actually don't want to) collect everything. These figures are indeed expensive and believe it or not I've also been woed into buying a few Dragon Ball Figuarts, so not short on stuff to collect haha. I'm not into 3,75 lines except some star wars stuff. I rather have fewer but bigger things, than more but smaller ones, if you want to compare it in the same financiel worth.

Props on giving a Kirrahe vote, damn that must be a lonely spot to fill, lol. Is that a "hold the line" thing?

I basically just want Garrus, Liara, Wrex and Thane. Those remain my four fav characters. If I tread into naming more I can't name just one, too many occupy the second level equally so to speak. But I will buy any and all of these four, for damn sure. Anything else depends on sculpt and my financiel situation.

I think EDI, seeing as she's more popular than I thought AND a basic ME3 squad member, has a BIG chance of getting there. If they've got confidence in the line they might even hold out on Liara and put her in series 3 with Kaiden, I don't hold that for impossible. Legion and Mordin would have to rely on fanfavoriting (like Thane and Wrex), but I think they'll get there if the line gets beyond ME3 squadmates. (UGH if they're really making Vega that'd be such a damn waste of a slot.)

Kasumi for being such a supporting character and Saren for being a solely ME1 guy have very little chance I'd say. (I'd also say sorry, but it's not like I have any authority or means of influence.)

Then again, the fact that they're making Poison Ivy in the Arkham line just throws a lot of reasoning out the window. I never had expected that. And for those who don't know the game(s), she literally doesn't appear in the game without the Catwoman campaign DLC. She's less than a supportive character in Arkham City. Maybe she's more of a fan-favo then I knew in which case it could point to Square Enix basing they're figures on that too.

Nevertheless I still think they're gonna go for the whole ME3 squad. It just seems to coherent to stray away from... I'm still pissed off ME3 didn't have any real ME2 main squad members. And no I'm not counting EDI. At the very, very least you should've had to have the choice for Miranda or Jack if you romanced them. Why would either of those two not accompany you if you ended in a relationship in ME2? No, instead we got a hulking meathead who nobody cares about. Sorry for going off topic.

****, no. XD
Those people have totally ruined that speech. And what an awesome speech it was!

I just like the character, and I know that Salarians get no love and have no shot at a figure in a line like that.
The more I think about EDI, the more plausible she seems as a choice. Plus, the Japanese love robots! So, I very much hope that you're right.

Even though I wasn't the biggest fan of either Miranda or Jack, I do agree with you on the Vega erm...strong dislike.

He was the only totally new character of the ME 3 squaddies, which I think contributes alot to his lack of popularity, but I can see  why he was there for the same reason. If only they hadn't made him such a meathead creep.

Even as a DLC character Javik would be better for a figure, he's far more popular, and far more interesting and would look just cooler given he isnt human.

Ashley got a figure so Kaiden will, Tali and Garrus got a figure so Liara will. So if the next release includes EDI plus either of those we can all expect Vega to make it in. I'm sure there are plenty of people that are happy with that prospect AND if they do make a lot of money off of him there is more chance they will continue the line into Mass effect two characters?

I can get my Legion and Mordin? Mayple please?? (reaching here HA)
