Who cares about the movies, how will this affect star wars 1313 and future sw titles? Disney has really bad habit of censoring violence. This can't be good at all.
As I understand it, Disney bought Lucasfilm not LucasArts.
Disney bought Lucasfilm Limited and everything that came under it including Lucasarts, Industrial Light and Magic, and Skywalker Sound.

If Disney can do the same thing with the SW franchise, then I'm game.

I really can't see this being a bad thing. Marvel has done nothing but prosper under Disney's tutelage - The Avengers is the greatest Marvel movie ever, and every Marvel movie to come out since their acquisition by Disney has been decent at the very least.
If Disney can do the same thing with the SW franchise, then I'm game.
^ This. I am not sure I would ever want to work for Disney, but they do bring the quality to their products.

*phew*
LucasArts and ILM are both wholly owned subsidiaries of Lucasfilm.
They are now all owned by Disney.

1. Episodes VII, VIII, and IX will be made.
2. They will suck.

Uhh, Im pretty sure Xmen and Spiderman are owned by Fox... WHich is the reason why youll never see either Wolverine or Spidey join the avengers.
Not owned, but they hold the movie rights to those characters. Which is why they pushed out a spiderman reboot so quickly, because if they hadn't they would of lost the rights to continue making spiderman films.

I'm just going to say, after watching amazing spider man twice and doing a full run through all the toby maguire spider man films before going to see amazing spider man, that disney did a much better job.
Same with the hulk movies.
Again, disney did not make the newest spider man movie (I was kinda wrong myself)
Sony Pictures was responsible and owns the rights for The Amazing Spiderman
MEanwhile 20th Century Fox controls the rights for the Xmen
That said i would like to see Marvel reaquire those two but thats just not in the cards at the moment.

I just figured that since disney owned marvel entertainment in 2009 and all those films came out afterwards, that disney had a very heavy hand in them.
Still, they made the avengers, and they made good calls when it came to casting, picking producers and directors, etc, etc. And they are responsible for the avengers cartoon series, one of my favorite series on television next to young justice, walking dead, and hell on wheels.
Whatever the case I'm sure whatever comes out will be better than george lucas's last contribution to star was, star wars detours.
